SEYI AFOLABI TINUBU FOR 2023. TO BE OR NOT TO BE, THAT'S THE QUESTION.

Seyi Afolabi Tinubu

We are too sure that the title of this particular article would have hit some like a thunderbolt. The shock of what we are insinuating would have gone through their bodies like a shock wave too and we are too sure that it would have caused many kinds of unbelievable reaction too.

What does it actually mean, Seyi Tinubu for 2023? Would the young dude, who is a super successful business owner and multimillionaire many times over in his own right, who is currently the eldest son of the indefatigable leader of the ruling party, the APC getting set, getting prepared to hold political office come the year in question? If all we hear, if all that is getting discussed in very hush-hush tones is to be believed for certain, then maybe, just maybe, 'his excellency' come from that year-2023, might just be a title that could be added to the young man's name. Seyi a father of one, who is married to a stunning beauty by name Layal-Holm Tinubu, is the majority owner and chairman/CEO of one of the fastest growing advert agencies in Nigeria by name Loatsad Promomedia with headquarters in Lagos.

Though Loatsad is probably one of Seyi's main cash cow, which brings in a majority or very large percentage of his earnings, he is not limited to just that brand alone, the young, highly energetic dude, who is always on the lookout for profitable business opportunities to invest in, is also into very many other pies, that are yielding extraordinary results too. He is in fact into construction too, by that we mean roads, roads marking, housing etc.

One of the major reasons for him vigorously enlarging his coast business wise and doing his own personal steez, is because he made up his mind quite early to do all that's possible, to personally build wealth for himself too by the dint of hardwork, be able to stand as a man of his own, even as it is obvious that come what may, he would inherit a staggering amount of wealth in cash, properties and connections, whenever his dad would would decide to hand over the reigns of the vast and supposedly quite intimidating empire to him. The dude is already undergoing tutelage to handle such enormity, when the time comes.

Loatsad, which is Seyi's most visible hand has some of the biggest and best LED screens in Lagos, located at the most strategic of places. The 4 on the Lekki toll gates, by that we mean inwards and outwards on the Lekki-Ajah expressways are all, always booked. By conservative estimate, a brand pays 10million Naira to advertise per month on the screen, for just one brand in 12 months alone, that's 120m, now multiply the nos of brands by about 7, that comes to a staggering 840 (Eight hundred and Forty million Naira) in just a year from just 2 screens in one location alone. Plus or minus, if a sizeable discount is given, like it applies to series adverts, at least an estimated amount of not less than 500 million Naira comes in from the Lekki toll gate location LEDs alone. That's the one by Oriental Hotel alone. There's the one by the other toll gate further down after Chevron roundabout, there's also the LED by Lekki bridge-Alexander Street roundabout, there's also now the new one by the bridge near the Law School if you are climbing from Ozumba Mbadiwe going towards Falomo, the 2nd of that one facing another side is still upcoming too. That's 4 locations right now and more still upcoming. All of these haven't added at all, the several lampposts they own, that dots strategic streets or roads in Lagos.

So conservatively estimated, earnings from Loatsad alone could amount to in the excess of 1 billion plus per year, from the different locations! So when you see the young man, a lawyer by training and businessman by vocation riding around in wonders-'on-wheels of any kind, a few of the outstanding ones that he has in his collection in his enviable garage, you must know for sure that he has the personal wherewithal/resources to afford them without yet touching his father's perceived, humongous wealth.

Seyi is viewed or perceived by many, as a Davido on steroids, but way way quiet. Yeah, Davido can afford to be loud as he is in the entertainment industry and that's one of the requirements. Both have stunningly liquid fathers. Lest we forget, Seyi is also into the entertainment industry in a quiet way, as he has invested into it too. He is known to be close to Olamide Adedeji, arguably the king of the streets. We know for sure that there was a time, he was a quiet owner of a record label.

For those who do not know, this young man, who has won several local and international awards for his exploits so far in business and who has in his employ at least close to a hundred staff members (100), is a philanthropist par excellence. Stories abounds of several unbelievable interventions, personally and through his 'Noella Foundation', which is his official CSR arm to reach out to people. The foundation in the last year have done outstandingly well.

So back to the permutations about 2023. Seyi is known to have the ears of his powerful dad-Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. And the growing speculation is that he is being prepared for higher office, the office of the Governor of Lagos. Though some have laughed hilariously at the idea, in the same vein, some have taken it serious too and are not seeing it as an expensive joke at all. They point at various chess moves that have already taken place and that would still take place too, to make the move happen.

If the idea were to be true, what that would imply is that the current Governor, His Excellency, Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu and his team would then be doing just one term, with BOS as the Chief executive of the State of Excellence for just 4 years only?

Would that be allowed to happen?

Or are we going to be seeing another Ambode type of resistance upcoming ????

Or better still would the ambition be pushed till 2027 instead?

PRIMATE AYODELE DROPS BOMBSHELL PREDICTIONS AGAIN FOR 2019.

PRIMATE Elijah Ayodele

PMB

Babajide Sanwo-Olu

Nyesom Wike

Bayo Adelabu

The self-styled religious leader, who goes by the the title PRIMATE, heads the Inri Evangelical Spiritual Church, situated in Ejigbo, Lagos. Prophet Elijah Ayodele is very well known as a seer of extraordinary repute and true to type, he has again restated what he said long ago as per the chances of the PDP in the February 2019 Presidential election.

But not only just that, he also gave his predictions too on several of the upcoming Gubernatorial elections in some states of the Federation.

Hear him- the PDP would find it outrightly difficult to unseat PMB in 2019. Reason for the difficulty is because they have refused to do the right things from the very beginning of their pursuit.

According to him "I said it the other time & I still maintain it, if PDP had given the ticket to Bukola Saraki, they would have won because it's only Saraki that can unseat Buhari. But the PDP stakeholders have not done what they were supposed to do.

I said it in 2015 that Jonathan may be the last President from the PDP! I am still standing on it that unless they take a quick step and that is for Atiku & Saraki to do the right thing, that is only when PDP can win. For now I am only seeing Atiku & Saraki playing!

As per the Gubernatorial elections, "For Lagos State, it would be business as usual, but the APC will still win. Oyo State, it's going to be tough. The PDP man there has missed it, it's still going back to APC.

Ogun State is a troubled state. The election should have favoured the APC, but APC may not have it in Ogun State. Don't under estimate Amosun's candidate or the candidate from the GNI. But PDP will never get the ticket in Ogun State.

For Delta State, PDP will take the state. For Rivers, though its a do or die affair, Wike will still come back. Kano & Kaduna is for APC. Then for Imo State, if the PDP man is serious he can take the state, but unfortunately, I don't see him to be serious. And if the APC puts their house in order in that state, then they can win that state.

APC may win Anambra state for the President. Ebonyi & Cross River may go to APC, if the PDP is not careful in those states.

PHOTO SPEAK-GOVERNOR ELECT OF OSUN VISITS ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU

Governors Akinwunmi Ambode, Rauf Aregbesola, Gov-elect Gboyega Oyetola, National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu & former Defence Minister, Musiliu Obanikoro

Aregbesola, Oyetola & Asiwaju

In unity we stand. The 3 Musketeers

A disaster that would have been of monumental proportion for the APC was averted in the State of Osun on Thursday, September 27, 2018.

Senator Ademola Nurudeen Adeleke of the PDP already had one hand on victory at the ELECTION, before it was snatched at the death, by the most meagre number of votes ever to determine a Governorship Election in Osun State and most probably in NIGERIA. He felt he was already coasting home, what this just tells everyone is that, it is never over until it is fully over. Anything can still happen at the dying seconds that can change the course of history!!!

The relief to the APC party as a whole, to the outgoing Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, soon to become a Senator and to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been palpable. That relief was quite obvious for all to see when the day after the run off was done & concluded, the current Governor, the Ogbeni himself was seen in public, jubilating in relief and singing a Yoruba thanksgiving song, poignant with meaning which we would interpret below.

🎶O ye ka dupe, O ye ka Dupe, Araa son⚡⛈️, atagun fe🌬️, iji ja🌪️, ko gbe wa loo, O ye ka Dupe!!!!

Which translates to "We should be thankful (grateful & full of gratitude), O we should be thankful,, ,  there was the loud rumblings of thunder and the lighting struck, the wind blew immensely, in fact the tempest (whirlwind) raged somewhat incontrollably, but in it, we weren't carted away, we are so full of gratitude and thankful!!!

The song above revealed perfectly well, how the camp must have felt and that the camp was shaken and they felt it, so what a relief to turn back the apple cart to the path it was on before again!!!

Senator Adeleke and the PDP are still raging as it were and they have a right to, as what they had thought was a sure victory, a done deal was snatched and smashed from their hands and mouth.

We are still expecting fireworks at the tribunal and courts though, in fact to the Supreme Court all the way. So even if "Gboyega Isiaka Oyetola" is sworn in like he would and should, his 1st 2 years would see him facing and dogged with litigations. A major distraction no doubt.

What the Osun election has already signposted for any smart enough to see it and understand it, is that, it is now quite obvious that the opposition seem to have woken up kind of from their slumber and are ready to fight it out! What is sure now is, if they pick the right candidates and are willing to go all the way like they did do with this Osun election, they would surely cause some major upsets here and there. What that now says is that, what used to be very assured is no more safe!

In the pictures above, outgoing Governor of the state of Osun-Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola is seen here presenting the Governor elect, Alhaji Gboyega Isiaka Oyetola to the National Leader of the ruling party the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Those who understands innuendos and body language would have understood what this action was all about. One thing we would have expected though would have been a picture or pictures, where all the people above would also have included the national chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, Governor elect of Ekiti, Dr. John Kayode Fayemi, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, Dr. Ganduje, in fact all those who made sure this victory was certain, all of them that went to see Senator Iyiola Omisore and convinced him, including the SDP chieftain himself. It would have shown gratitude and it would also have shown a united front!!!!

CAN THERE TRULY EVER BE SOMETHING AMISS BETWEEN THE ASIWAJU & HIS ANOINTED SON-AKINWUNMI AMBODE?

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu

Akinwunmi Ambode

What more can be said about the great Asiwaju of Lagos and by extension according to some, the Asiwaju of Yorubaland that hasn't been said yet or already? The inimitable Jagaban Borgu, who also incidentally holds the highest chieftaincy title in Egbaland, which is the "Aare Ago" (Field Marshall) of Egbaland, a title bestowed on him by the current paramount ruler of Egbaland, the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo III, CFR. These titles mentioned here and others are just a few of the more prominent titles that the former 2 term Governor of the state of aquatic excellence and a former Senator of the state, hold.

The APC top chieftain, in fact the National Leader of the ruling party is an enigma per excellence, one that many of his die-hard followers see as the engineer, the visioner, the inspiration behind what the current Lagos is and may turn into in the future. Some are of the strong opinion, that the script of the 21st century Lagos, an emerging eldorado was put together by him and that all that have always been needed, is always for the perfect and proper person to come execute.

His excellency, the Governor extraordinary, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, FCA is the current Governor of the number 1 state in Nigeria in many ramifications and that's the state of excellence-known to all as Lagos. Never in the history of this state has someone being so well prepared, so well honed, so perfectly fitted to run the affairs of a state as unique, as powerful, as diverse, as massive, as Lagos.

For those who already know and even for those that do not readily know, that Governor Akinwunmi Ambode boasts an incredible, totally outstanding educational history, background, from as early as his O'levels, where he cracked the WASC, having the 2nd best results overall for the year in review is a known fact.

Thereafter the O'levels, he went on to continually dazzle all comers every step of the way ever since. From an exemplary university result for his 1st degree and later having his masters, to getting trained at some of the best schools available-Harvard, Instead, Wharton, Cranfield etc where he honed his skills as an accountant/auditor/administrator.

But it's not only about his educational status that we are on about here now, it is also majorly about his career path and projectile, which apart from the educational attainment is what has made him who he is today!

Imagine that from the get go till he got to the highest level/hierarchy as Governor, he has worked at every level of the state civil service, from the grassroots at the local government level, holding various positions from the low to the high, right around the state, rising later from being the Auditor-General in charge of Local Governments to become the Permanent Secretary in charge of Finance in Lagos, till he finally became the Accountant-General of Lagos State, which on its own, is already a career high and then now finally to becoming the Governor of the state. Transversing the length and breath of the state Civil service for 27 years! How more prepared can anyone have ever been?

So it wasn't something too extraordinary or too out of the world when the Asiwaju then, like he had also done before with the excellent BRF, insisted on Ambode as the nos 1 choice to take over from another, exemplary and anoited son then in the person of the awesome Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN. Many of the skeptics who couldn't dare dream then, many of them who had doubts, those who had thought no one, no matter who could break the awesome records set by the 2 terms of the administration of BRF have all now since become die-hard converts in only just 3 years of exhilarating hard work!

The blitzkrieg otherwise known as Akinwunmi Ambode, that unstoppable shining star has swept all before him off their feet-both his own people and even the opposition with such speed and authority, it has been totally outstanding and dazzling at the same time. So much so that even the opposition have become totally comatose and have been pulverized to inactivity, hoping against all hope in the dreamland to come to relevance again sometime in the far future.

Every where in Lagos that you go to, you would effortlessly and openly see, the Ambode super impressive signature all over, dotting the landscape in nearly all ramifications. Truth be told, Lagos State in a very long while, has not encountered such dizzying and dazzling level of infrastructural developments all going on simultaneously at the same time like now! So just imagine all the launchings that would all be happening all over the place in Lagos at the tail end of this administration's 1st term in power come 2019! Lagos is surely in for a super great and exhilarating ride!!! !

So in view of the very immediate above, most had thought that a 2nd term for the one behind all that has been happening so positively should just be a given! Like it has been said for many centuries now, one good turn, deserves another, or so people had thought! But alas, that might not necessarily be! Reason been that if the so called underground grumblings and rumblings are anything to go by, then all might not necessarily be as well as most think!

For according to the unconfirmed gist, which even at that still carries a lot of weight, both son-AA and father-Asiwaju might not necessarily be having a chummy-chummy, good time as it is now! It is even said that whatever it is that's causing the issues, might have been on going for a few months now, at least for up to 4 months if not more, so they say! And because of that, many are of the thought that this disagreement if not quickly nipped in the bud and resolved and dealt with, could dangerously affect Ambode’s 2nd term ambition!

Can that truly happen? Especially after such an excellent record of works?

PRIMATE AYODELE REVEALS DOUBLE PRONGED BOMBER ON TINUBU & SARAKI

Primate Ayodele Elijah

PMB

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu

Dr Olubukola Saraki

Respected seer Primate Elijah Ayodele is at it again. The revered man of God has checked again his crystal ball and has come out with some bangers of revelations that might not have or wouldn't ever endear him to the powers that be, especially those in power currently.

The double pronged revelations are just somewhat earth shaking for our polity right now, as we look towards next year 2019, which is important because it's the election year and people are already preparing their minds on who they want to vote to elect as their leaders come next year.

The overseer and prophet in charge of the Inri ministry, has said loudly for all that cares to hear, that the current number 3 man, in the person of the Senate President, Dr Olubukola Saraki is "God's choice" to become the next president of Nigeria come the next election. He didn't end it there, he went on to say that if he Saraki refuses to put himself forward, that God would punish him!

Not just the above alone, the seer came up with another earth shattering prophecy again, but this time it has to do with the APC national leader in the person of the Jagaban of Borgu himself, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Primate Ayodele was quoted to have said that ASIWAJU was just being used by President Buhari and that he would be dumped with ignominy afterwards.

The Lagos based cleric, Primate Elijah Ayodele of INRI Evangelical Spiritual has again warned APC National leader, Bola Tinubu not to support the ambition of President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019, making it known that he is going to abandon him.

Just yesterday, Monday, he revealed that God will punish Bukola Saraki if he fails to contest in the 2019 presidential elections.

In his words,
“The present ‘romance’ going on between Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Buhari is deception; they’re deceiving Tinubu. They just want to use him and dump him. Until we appreciate God and not man, the country will continue to experience underdevelopment,” he said.

On the 2019 presidential election, the cleric stated that God had ordained Saraki to help Nigeria.

“I want to tell Saraki now to make up his mind, because God has ordained him to help this country. He should come out to contest for President. It’s not by noise. At the moment, he is the one who can move Nigeria forward.

“So, I want him to take the bold step and make up his mind or else, God would deal with him. I don’t make predictions; I give prophecies. However, I am not God. God can choose to delay when fulfilling certain prophecies.

“What is happening with the administration of President Muhammad Buhari, God had told me and I said it; these things are happening now. Everything happening in the country now has been foretold,” he stated.

GREGARIOUS DEMOLA ADELEKE OF PDP SLAMDUNKS AREGBESOLA

New Senator Ademola Adeleke

Governor Rauf AREGBESOLA

Senator Iyiola Omisore
Maybe this result of yesterday's election between the PDP's own Senator elect Demola Adeleke, the younger brother of the late Serubawon and also brother to Davido's billionaire dad, Deji Adeleke versus APC's Mudashiru Hussain, would be a wake up call for the Osun State Governor, Rauf AREGBESOLA and his party that the people cannot be taken for granted, we do not know yet.

But the result of this election has shown somehow that no matter what, sentiment no matter how you want to discount it, can be a major factor in winning an election, and it also shows glaringly, that the late Isiaka Adeleke was not a pushover by any means at all in the politics of Osun State, most especially in the decision making in his domain Ede.

Much has been said about the influence the late Senator wielded when alive and how much he was loved by the (his) people, now even in death the power he was said to have possessed was showcased in this election which had his younger brother facing the might of an incumbent Governor and all the machinery at his disposal.

Ademola Adeleke, representing the opposition PDP defeated, annihilated and totally obliterated the candidate of the Governor on all counts. At the only place where the APC candidate won, which was where he himself voted, he won by just 4 votes!!!

The whole scenario just says it all, that even in death the great Serubawon is a man to reckon with and that if you downplay his avowed influence, you do so at your own peril and loss.

An analysis of the whole scenario would have shown that Demola Adeleke was faced against the machinery of the state, especially a sitting Governor, but even at that, 2 of his own brothers, in the persons of the late Isiaka "Serubawon" Adeleke and billionaire businessman, Deji Adeleke gave him all the backings he needed to coast to victory unscathe, albeit one did it post humously. What this just says is that, the people no matter what cannot and must not be taken for granted by anyone, no matter their influence or status.

So INEC has declared Demola Adeleke the winner and new Senator, to take over the seat left vacant by the untimely death of his elder brother. As the PDP have now won this election, this might portend the direction of things in the upcoming Governorship election in the State come whenever.

So Senator Iyiola Omisore who is a powerhouse of a sort in Ife and environs a big part of Osun State, is lurking quietly in the background, planning, strategizing, aligning, mending fences etc, ready to pounce and take over on behalf of the PDP the running of the affairs of the state. If Ede and Ife would close ranks and then come together, with all other power houses in other areas, hmmmmmm!!!!!

There are some hell-bent on demystifying the relevance and influence of the Jagaban Borgu ASIWAJU Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC National Leader, who it is claimed, is actually from Osun State at all cost, it now seems like the project has begun!

Can the APC retain Osun State in the next election, if it were to hold next week?  As the influence of APC waned in the state that excitedly voted her into power just a few years ago?

FASHOLA SLAMDUNKS LEGISLATORS INTO SUBMISSION

It is now obvious that if you don't have the intellectual capacity or the expected knowledge or the acquired wherewithal or immense resources at the disposal of BRF, you don't go after the Minister for Works, Housing and Power in the negative, in the person of the former Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN or else.

In what is akin to a collosal clap back of the mightiest order, he just responded to a clap back by the house which had tried to paint that he was just an unneccesary noise maker and a liar.

In his delivery and response to them, he shut them down totally in the most intelligent way, making the bunch look colourless, bereft of ideas, uncouth and not knowledgeable at all- "Nigeria is in trouble if NASS mistakes budgetary appropriation for cash!!!!"

Imagine that the Minister had to school the legislators on the difference between budget and cash? Something that they should have been very conversant with?

More after the break.

WHAT A VICTORY FOR JAMES ONANEFE IBORI AS HE WINS UK CASE AND GETS A STAGGERING £1

What a victory for the convicted felon and former Governor of Delta State, the warlord Chief James Onanefe Ibori, who recently too the British Secretary of State to court for unlawful detention and who won the case.

For that win the "highly respected politician" and kingmaker, who took to his heels from Nigeria years back to escape prosecution won a staggering £1 Pound in damages. He had escaped to Dubai the UAE, where he had an extraordinary amount of investments, but was surprisingly extradited later to the UK ,where he was convicted and jailed for fraud. Curiously he had worked in the same UK years before as a store cashier.

Though the worth of victory monetarily wasn't extraordinary, the important aspect of the victory at least was that, it showed that he wasn't deported from the Queen's land, but he was rather "allowed", to leave voluntarily on his own volition. The unlawful detention victory came about because he was detained for a day and some hours more, after his initial release from prison after finishing his term for fraud, which was in excess of £50 million pounds.

Now that he has at least won this colossal and monumental victory, especially since returning to Nigeria, that might actually clear the way for him to contest for any elective post anytime he wants. Chief IBORII has an incontestable number of followers, ready at any time to lead him to victory.

Congratulations to the great man of the people, for this very important victory. May more Victory like this come subsequently.

PROPHET AYODELE FAYOSE THE MAN WHO SEES TOMORROW

Governor Ayodele Fayose

The above caption rightly describes the Executive Governor of the good state of Ekiti.

Prophets all over the world are very well known for one of their great gifts/abilities, which is that ability to see or foretell the future. That ability doesn't just end there alone, it allows them also to be able to rightly understand the things of the past too, and to be able to decipher what the God is saying now, so all of these abilities and more are great and good and important, that is of course if and when the prophet is actually a true mouthpiece of the God.

GOVERNOR PETER OBI IS THE NEXT AVIATION MINISTER

GOVERNOR PETER OBI

Wow!!! What is happening to the outgoing Governor of Anambra State, in the person of His Excellency, Governor Peter Obi aptly describes or play out the idiom- ''One good turn deserves another''. The action Governor after 2 terms as the Chief Executive Officer of his state would be bowing out next week with his head and shoulder held very well up. But just has he is leaving one powerful position in government, he is already set to be sworn in to another powerful one, without even going on to rest;an unprecedented feat we believe.

This was one action packed Governor. Who before coming to power was very well to do. He was said to be one of the biggest shareholders of Fidelity Bank and was even the Bank's chairman before he took up the reins of Governance in Anambra, that's amongst several investment portfolio he used to command. Though his path to power was not that easy like for some, he has had to fight to get his mandate from supposed usurpers many times over; word around town is that the man has performed fantastically commendably well in all areas one can think about. Touching the lives of all Anambrarian one way or the other. The way that he has been doling out the dividends of democracy around the state in the past 2 years and even before has been unbelievable. The citizens of his state would sure miss him, when he is gone.

If all works out well as planned, at least continuity would not be lacking in any way. As the outgoing Governor got his wish, with the  people voting for his candidate and declaration of his anointed choice as the next Governor to take over from him. In the past few weeks, the 2- that is outgoing Governor and the incoming Governor(elect) have been working together very cordially and we hope the exchange of baton would be as seamless as possible. According to the gist in town, Governor Peter Obi would be leaving a whopping N75 billion for the incoming administration. Another fantastic feat if it is found out to be the fact as stated. For that alone he should be majorly commended.

Away from all of that and now to the coming transformation from former Governor to a powerful Minister. All through Governor Peter Obi's stint has a 2 term Governor, though he is in another party APGA opposed to the party at the center (which is the PDP), it was quite obvious that he supported the President, in the person of Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan unflinchingly throughout and he did not hide it at all. The good rapport between the 2 is why the outgoing Governor is now going to take over from where Stella Oduah left off. To buttress their good friendship, the President even made a show of it recently by saying he wished all others were like him.

With all the much that we have heard and that some have even confirmed that Governor Obi has done in his State and also with all his contribution to the Nation's discuss, especially showing how to foster peace & good relationship across party lines, we have had to wonder many times, that how come he has not won on several occasions, all the so called many awards for good performance that many of his colleagues who haven't done as much as he has, have won many times over. Such awards like the Sun Man of the year awards, Silverbird Man of the year awards, ThisDay Awards for excellence in Governance etc just to mention a few.

Anyways, the President who seem to see so much good in him, and wants to say thank you and also continue to tap from his wealth of experience and good will, has decided to hand him the Ministry of Aviation to work his magic. So has he would take over that very important and powerful ministry, expect the Peter Obi kind of action to play out.

Something major is coming to the Aviation Ministry. And everyone should wait for it.

Congratulations on your planned new stewardship!!! This man is one dogged fighter of the unflinching kind. His many battles won is a testament to his resilience and make up. Take a bow!!!

HON. OPEYEMI BAMIDELE DECLARES FOR THE LABOUR PARTY IN EKITI STATE

This is not the best of times for the APC in Ekiti State as one of the party's aggrieved members in the person of one of their most influential former members has left them to pitch his tent with a rival party-the Labour Party.

The member of the Federal House of Representatives, defected in order for him to pursue his Gubernatorial ambition in Ekiti State come 2014.

Prior to this his formal defection, he had had a running battle with his former party hierarchy over his ambition. The party had expected he was going to step down his ambition for the incumbent's 2nd term to which he didn't agree. Now with this defection to the Labour, the massive support that the APC used to enjoy in Ekiti State might have been reduced drastically, since Honourable Bamidele seemingly enjoys a very massive support base in Ekiti.

So a major loss for the APC in Ekiti, might have become a major gain for Labour in the same state. So would Opeyemi Bamidele be joining the Iroko(Dr. Olusegun Mimiko) as the 2nd Labour Governor in Nigeria? Or would the incumbent ride on to a victory irrespective of Bamidele's defection & support? Time will surely tell.

When Democracy Fails...BY DR PEREGRINO BRIMAH

Genesis (NIV Bible) 19: 4 Before they had gone to bed, ALL THE MEN FROM EVERY PART OF THE CITY of Sodom—both young and old—surrounded the house. 5 They called to Lot, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them.”
The Cattle (Quran) 6: 116 Wert thou to follow THE COMMON RUN OF THOSE ON EARTH, they will lead thee away from the way of Allah. They follow nothing but conjecture: they do nothing but lie.

In the Palestinian legislative elections of 2006, Hamas won 74 seats to the ruling-Fatah's 45, becoming able to establish a Hamas majority government. The British Conservative head of the European Parliament's monitoring team, Edward McMillan-Scott described the polls as "extremely professional, in line with international standards, free, transparent and without violence." Immediately after the election victory, the Quartet (United Nations, the United States, the European Union, and Russia) and Israel imposed crushing sanctions on the Palestinian authority and this ended in a violent breakup and a divided Palestine.

In approval of the split, in 2007 sanctions were eased on the Fatah led West Bank, while more severe sanctions placed on the political victors, Hamas and the Gaza strip. The then U.S. secretary of State, Condoleeza Rice immediately added the following statement to the definition of democracy: “Democracy brings not just rights, but it brings obligations and responsibilities too.” Defining democracy as some sort of culture, she went on to say, "And one of those responsibilities is to care for and to be a fighter for peace, and not for war and not for violence."

In Nigeria, during the 5th republic, following the successful introduction of Sharia law in Zamfara state by the then governor, Sani Yarima, there were gigantic protests in the northern states, likewise demanding for Sharia law. Surveys conducted across northern states delivered a response rate solidly in favor of the introduction of Sharia law, in the 73-97% range. See 'Margit Cleveland, “Acceptance of Sharia Law in Nigeria,” in Paul Marshall (ed), The Talibanization of Nigeria: Sharia Law and Religious Freedom.' Credited as 'dividends of democracy,' by 2000, 12 democratically governed northern states in total officially re-adopted Sharia law a century after it had been laid down. The masses supported the adoption of Sharia seeing it as the only solution against the triad of corruption, inequality and poor governance. While many northerners believe the law is not adopted honestly and is used to witch-hunt the poor, while securing impunity for the rich and elite leadership, other Nigerians believe it should never have been adopted. Like it or not, and safe or unsafe within the context of Nigeria as is, the law came into being compliments of democracy. While still discussing Nigeria, the crises of governance in the 4th, 5th and 6th republics delineate democratic realities.

FEMI FANI-KAYODE REPLIES SENATOR AHMED SANI WITH A BALLISTIC MISSILE OF A RESPONSE

MY RESPONSE TO SENATOR AHMED SANI AND HIS SUPPORTERS-
''If I had any doubts that the self-confessed paedophile Senator Ahmed Sani was of the devil before today I have long since shed those doubts. Ahmed is not only evil but he is also a very sick man. In any civilised society he would be either be behind bars or he would be in a mental hospital.

We as a people need to protect the girl-child from self-righteous sexual predators like him. He not only thrives on under-age sex and child rape but he boasts about it and seeks to justify it with his Islamic faith. He forgets that in 95 per cent of Muslim countries in the world today child-marriage, child-sex, child-porn and paedophilia are specifically banned and outlawed by law. Are those people and nations not muslims too? Is he a better Muslim than them? Are the Muslims of southern Nigeria in Yorubaland who have collectively refused to indulge in vile practices like paedophilia, child- marriage, child-rape and child-sex and who consider such things to be an abomination not Muslims too? As far as I am concerned they are the true Muslims and they are far better and more civilised than Ahmed Sani's brand.

WHERE IS THE SO CALLED OPPOSITION IN LAGOS STATE? ARE THEY READY FOR THE NEXT ELECTION?

MUSILIU OBANIKORO

ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU

A few weeks ago we had asked the question on this platform- Who is the next Governor of Lagos? Our reason mainly for asking was because we had observed some moves by some members of the ruling party- the ACN who seem to have loads of those that can vie for the post. Some were even already making their intentions known either openly or surreptitiously. Many names are been bandied around and everyone seem to be jostling one way or the other, trying to test the waters, though the election is still about 2 years away. We quite understand the fact that some are using it as bargaining tool for relevance.

While some have openly shown their intentions, some are still acting like they are not interested at all, while their body language says otherwise. We love the fact that those who commented on the last post seem to agree with some of the names with we had made mention of in our earlier write-up- the likes of Gbolahan Lawal, Obafemi Hamzat, Muiz Banire, Adeyemi Ikuforiji, Gbenga Ashafa, Ganiyu Solomon etc.

NUCLEAR ALMS RACE BY DR PEREGRINO BRIMAH

You probably thought I misspelled or you misread. Sadly, that is the title.
Location: Borno

Temperature: 40C/104F degrees scorching hot days and 12C/54F freezing cold nights.
Time: 2am approximately, some day in 2009

Two 9 year old almajiri boys were in bed; well, on the floor actually, inside or beside a mosque or nondescript shack somewhere in Borno state, north east of Nigeria.

One woke up to use the “bathroom” that fateful cold night and when he got back, the second had pulled his, and the only blanket over himself.

‘Give me my blanket,’ the almajiri boy demanded. The other “bully” would not let go, not just because he felt stronger, but because the nights get so cold in Borno, you just can’t give that up.
At the end of the fight that ensued, one of the 9 year old almajiris, the smaller one who owned the blanket had pulled out his life protective dagger they always have on them, one of…actually the only asset they ever have, and stuck it into the bully. He lay dead in a pool of his blood.

Fast forward to 2012, Amanda meets a nice, passionate lawyer who described this incident to her. ‘That’s why I’m here,’ he said, ‘I just can’t let this boy keep rotting in jail. You need to understand the predicament of these almajiri boys. They have nothing, they belong to no one.’
Amanda tells me how she once held conversation with an almajiri – about 7-8 years old, making his rounds on the dusty, harsh-weather roads of Borno. Borno where they say, in the winter morning, you must open your mouth with care, else you hear your lips crack and see the blood gush from them.

WHO IS THE NEXT GOVERNOR OF LAGOS?

HON. ADEYEMI IKUFORIJI
SENATOR GANIYU SOLOMON

Many names are been bandied around already though the election that would chose who to replace the incumbent is still far off. Many are of the opinion that the choice of who to replace the current action Governor lies solely with the Asiwaju of Lagos, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu. But our findings shows that it might not be that easy.

Already as we speak, much politicking is already ongoing in the background, so as to position those who feel they deserve to be the next to vie for the post. But as much as the party in power in Lagos is planning ahead for the next election. The main opposition party is not resting in their bid also to wrest Lagos away from the party on the throne right now.

MUIZ BANIRE

Many names have cropped up in recent times, some of those we have heard about are the likes of former Commissioner for Environment and a top Chieftain of the ACN, in the person of Alhaji Muiz Banire, also on that list is Senator Ganiyu Solomon, a close ally of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, another is Obafemi Hamzat, the current Commissioner for Works in the administration of His excellency, Babatunde Raji Fashola, another also is Mr. Tunde Fowler, the current Tax boss in Lagos, he is the boss of the Lagos State Internal Revenue, another prominent name that has cropped up is that of the Permanent Secretary, Lands in Lagos State, Barrister Hakeem Muri-Okunola, who is the youngest amongst all the names being mentioned, another name we have heard in passing is that of another Commissioner in the present administration, in the person of Gbolahan Lawal. Mr. Lawal used to be the ADC to Asiwaju before and his lot has grown ever since then. One other name that used to be more prominent before was that of the current Speaker of the house in Lagos State, in the person of Honourable Adeyemi Ikuforiji, but that name has gone to the back-burner since the scandal on the mismanagement of a colossal N7 billion. With many of these prominent names coming up daily, many do not know where the pendulum would swing in the case of the Asiwaju, who many believes holds the aces. And just like the Asiwaju did before in his choice of BRF, he might go ahead to surprise everyone again, by totally overlooking all those jostling for the post presently.

But one very influential person many might be overlooking right now, but whose support might be very important for whoever should emerge to run for the election as the boss of Lagos in the next election, is the current incumbent. As much as people might not be looking his way, his say would be of utmost importance.  Also ready to spring a major surprise as long as they put their house in order is the PDP, but their surprise would depend on them choosing a fantastic personality to represent them.

Some are of the opinion that ACN or would it be APC then, might not have it so easy this time around ooo. This might be because of some actions taken by this current Government that some might not have liked.

Time would tell anyway. And election time would soon be here. So lets wait and see.

PDP BIGWIG BURUJI KASHAMU EXPELLED FROM THE PARTY

Moneybag owner of the Best Western Hotel, in front of the bar-beach, Victoria Island, Lagos, Buruji Kashamu, who is also a political big wig & financier in Ogun State has been expelled by the PDP in the State.

The expulsion is a climax of all the in-fighting that has been on going between the different factions of the party in Ogun State for a while now. The party in a paid advertisement in a Sunday paper recently, in the communique signed by Bidemi Osunbiyi, the state publicity of the PDP, said ''The Peoples Democratic Party,  Ogun State chapter has expelled Prince Buruji Kashamu from the Ijebu-North LG from the party.

This is in line with the party's constitution, section 58(1) b, f, j,k & l.  He wasn't the only one expelled.

So what that means is that all the investments of several years in the party has gone down the drain.

WAR OF WORDS BEGINS FEMI FANI-KAYODE REPLIES DR REUBEN ABATI

FEMI FANI-KAYODE

                                               THE DELUSIONS OF TODAY'S MEN
I read Dr. Reuben Abati's article titled 'The Hypocrisy Of Yesterday's Men'' (3rd Feb.2013) which was published in virtually every newspaper in the country with amusement. He sought to ridicule and demean those of us that served President Olusegun Obasanjo's government and that are not very impressed with the performance of his boss. The fact that we asked President Goodluck Jonathan to account for the 67 billion USD that he squandered from our foreign reserves has clearly upset him. We dared to ask about the money and so we were singled out and targetted for a tongue-lashing and a long lecture from the Presidency. Yet we remain undeterred. This is how weak governments that have nothing to offer and something to hide always behave. They come after their perceived enemies with full force and they are petty and oversensitive. This is all the more so when they lack experienced hands and when they do not have anyone with deep insight or wisdom about the art of governance or politics within their ranks. In his response instead of answering our questions, addressing the issues or making any pertinent and sensible points about the numerous allegations against his principal, Abati chose to go on a delusional and self-serving joy ride. He simply refused to address any of our numerous concerns but instead indulged vainly in what can only be described as an utterly vulgar and distasteful form of intellectual, spiritual and psychological masturbation by telling us that he and his master were ''today's men'' who needed no lessons from the ''men of yesterday''. The essay was nothing but the usual smear campaign and a crude attempt to intimidate which has been the hallmark of this Government whenever they are faced with even the mildest form of criticism. I will not dignify most of the insulting and childish submissions that Abati indulged in with a response other than to say that he told a shameless and pernicious lie when he wrote that as Minister of Aviation I ''shut down Port Harcourt Airport for two years'' and ''allowed grass to grow all over it''. This is false. It is a classic case of disinformation coming from a man that is obviously suffering from a very low self-esteem.  It is clear that Abati, who is a journalist, has forgotten the most important tenet of his profession which is that ''facts are sacred and opinion is cheap''. Ordinarily one would have ignored his bitter rant but it is important that I set the record straight for the sake of posterity.

THE HYPOCRISY OF YESTERDAY'S MEN AS WRITTEN BY DR. REUBEN ABATI

A loosely bound group of yesterday’s men and women seems to be on the offensive against the Jonathan administration. They pick issues with virtually every effort of the administration, pretending to do so in the public interest; positing that they alone, know it all.  Arrogantly, they claim to be better and smarter than everyone else in the current government. They are ever so censorious, contrarian and supercilious. They have no original claim to their pretensions other than they were privileged to have been in the corridors of power once upon a time in their lives. They obviously got so engrossed with their own sense of importance they began to imagine themselves indispensable to Nigeria.  It is dangerous to have such a navel-gazing, narcissistic group inflict themselves with so much ferocity on an otherwise impressionable public. We are in reality dealing with a bunch of hypocrites.
With exceptions so few, they really don’t care about Nigeria as a sovereign but the political spoils that accrue from it.  And so they will stop at nothing to discredit those they think are not as deserving as they imagine themselves to be. President Jonathan has unfairly become the target of their pitiable frustrations.

GOVERNORS VISIT SULLIVAN CHIME

GODWILL AKPABIO, GABRIEL SUSWAN, SULLIVAN CHIME & ROTIMI AMAECHI

In order to douse the unnecessary tension created by Governor Sullivan Chime's prolonged absence from work,  a few of his colleagues paid him a visit recently. Those who did were the Governors of Akwa-Ibom, Benue & Rivers States, Godswill Akpabio, Gabriel Suswan & Rotimi Amaechi respectively. The snow in the background atleast shows it is a recent picture.

The aftermath of the visit atleast to show that he is alive and (well) is the picture above.

Now if pictures don't lie, we know he is alive, so what's keeping him away from his office? It's going to 5 months already now.  And what's the true situation of his health? One would have thought that if the weight of governance is too much on his health or well-being, then the honourable thing to do, who have been to resign. That would have given him enough time and energy to heal. Apart from that even if he stills needs to get back to the hospital, his state would still have to take care of his medical bills. So what's the fear about? Or is it that, there is no one else in the whole of Enugu State, capable of running the State, except Governor Chime?

God save Nigeria. Get well soon GUV!
