NIGERIAN MUSIC ACTS, WIZKID, P SQUARE, BANKY W, DAZZLES AT THE 2013 CHANNEL O MUSIC VIDEO AWARDS

Nigerian acts P Square, Wizkid & Banky W had very good showings at the 10th edition of the Channel O music awards that held on Saturday, November 30, 2013 @ the Walter Sisulu Square in Kliptown, Soweto, South Africa.

Africa's biggest music duo, P Square picked up 2 awards on the night- Most Gifted African Video West & a special recognition award for their contributions to African music. Rave of the moment Wizkid, took home the Most Gifted Video of the Year for Azonto, while his label boss, in the person of Banky W took home the award of the Most Gifted R& B video for the classy Yes/No. 

The award show in Soweto, South Africa was hosted this year by the duo of Nigeria's own Naeto C & South Africa's own AKA.

One of the premier music awards in Nigeria, the Nigeria Music Video Awards 2013, the 7th in the series held a few weeks back at the Muson Center, Onikan, Lagos. We do not know why the coverage wasn't loud enough. 


We heard it had a massive turnout of those in the industry the likes of Dayo D1 Adeneye, Sean Tizzle, Waje, Venita Akpofure, May D, Flavour Ice Prince and the likes. 

One of the biggest winners on the night was Flavour Nabania who carted home 4 awards. Another big winner was ace music video producer Clarence Peters who won 2 awards. Other winners were Sean Tizzle, Chidinma, Orezi, BlackMagic, Banky W, Olamide, Dr Victor Olaiya, Sound Sultan, 2 Face, Ice Prince, Burna Boy, Mat Max, X-Project, Ozzybosco and Amaray Oke Nbagi.

The biggest award of the night 'Video of the Year' was won by Flavour.
