In Yorubaland, they call those born on the first day of a new year Abiodun. Odun' has to do with festivities, some form of celebrations or the other. For the outstandingly gorgeous Mercy Aigbe, who has really come into her own, style/fashion-wise, it's not just about celebrating a new year, this one being 2020, which is also the very beginning of a new decade, the start of the new year also always coincides with her birthday, the day Mercy emerged on this earth. So for the ace actress, a new year is always a double pronged package of celebration. So she is Abiodun twice over. She's thanking God doubly twice about the gift of life, for seeing the end of an old year and immediately embarking on the journey of another. For making the new year and for hitting another age in her life's journey. And so, we celebrate with her too.

2019 was most probably a very eventful and super stylish year for Mercy. As she proved beyond reasonable doubt her style pedigree over and over and over again. Mesmerizing us all through, with class, distinction and panache. It was the year she became the 'Queen of Elegance' out performing all others both in continental and dazzling local outfits that were fantastically made and were so well fitting they were like 2nd skin. She showed that she had mastered all the right moves and has come to know very well, what best suits her and can show her best features to a good or best advantage. And without trying too hard also, she's shown her influential power as she has twice as many followers/audiences/fans as the nearest noisemakers who are all about on the social media and who wouldn't allow us a breathing space. Mercy is probably one of the best supported Nollywood giant in Nigeria bar none with 6.7million followers and still counting, making her a major influencer by all standards. So there are those in good numbers too, totally dedicated to her and ready to follow her whims and moves without batting an eyelid.

So just has she finished 2019 on a stand out note, fashion and style-wise and otherwise too, she has begun the new year too, a new decade 2020 on that high note again, with much aplomb and great oomph at that.

As she clocked 42 today, January 1, 2020 having being born January 1st of 1978, the mother of 2, dazzled all comers in her characteristic style with good effect.

In a message to self, she admits she's imperfect but tending towards perfection, but admits to her beauty, sexiness, good heart and more, she also called herself a child of destiny - Omomajemu. She waxed highly lyrical in a message to herself and loads others thus-

"She's imperfect, beautiful, sexy, kind, protective, smart, honest, loyal, hardworking, intelligent, self-sufficient, lover of God, lover of children, brave, confident, a survivor.... A woman who brushes away her tears, tries to heal her wounds and cover her scars. Cos she knows she can't afford to stay down! Big shout out to every strong women out there, you shouldn't be afraid to be yourselves even when you feel weak and broken inside because the strongest action of a woman is to love herself and shine amongst those who never believed she could... Cry your tears but always Get up! Stay focused and STAND TALL 👊🏾.

WHY ISTANBUL TURKEY IS THE NEW GO TO PLACE FOR THE WIRE-WIRE BOYS & THEIR BUSINESS!

If you haven't been to Istanbul, Turkey before, we plead with you to just go and have a funtastically great time! There's just that thing about this beautiful place, it's one beautiful place, that we love going and going and going to.

Are you just going on holiday? Or are you a trader/business person looking to buy things or manufacture or produce? Istanbul is just the place! After China, it's the other very hotspot for those into manufacturing/production  especially clothes et al.

The fact that it is the very middle point between Asia and Europe, adds to the extraordinary flavour. So just in one same place in one country, the 2 very distinct flavours are just very prominent. Just cross over that very massive, iconic bridge atop the "Bosphorus" and the European and Asian flavours are distinct for you to see. For those who might not know, Istanbul is where the 2 great Turkish football clubs with extraordinary and cult like fanbases- Fenerbahce and Galatasaray are domiciled.

And to make things a lot easy for those who want to visit, as long as you have either of the three major visas- be it American visa, UK Visa or Schengen visa, all of these visas allows you in, as long as you would fly in via the award winning home airline "Turkish Airlines".

Away from the holiday spot story, one of the major things bringing Istanbul Turkey to major attention right now, is not because it's an extraordinarily exotic idyllic holiday spot or because it's a fantastic production/manufacturing hub, but it's because it's gradually becoming and is the newest spot and go to area now for those "wire-wire boys".

For those who don't know what wire-wire is, if you are into music a lot, you would have heard about "wire-wire" at least in a part of the lyrics of a song by the awesome & award winning Davido. It was also same that 9ice codedly sang about in one of his current hit, when he spoke about how his boys work and work having sleepless nights.

"Wire-wire" is a very sophisticated and advanced form of online fraud, the practitioners have developed such dexterity at it that, they seem to be making badass killings from it, making unbelievable amount of money. Part of their mode of operation is using some advanced applications to penetrate banks and companies and big corporation accounts and then they transfer funds from such accounts to some accounts from where they can later withdraw without any issues whatsoever.

According to our findings, what makes this new spot attractive is that, Istanbul is somewhat lenient towards the value of money that one can withdraw at a go. It is said that as much as $50000 withdrawal might not be an issue at all at one go. There are some dudes already making the place a home, especially since it's still like a virgin spot that hasn't become as over populated as Malaysia already.

In fact, there's a Gbenga dude who seem to have become the lord of the manor in Istanbul already with his pals. Dude was home recently, during the holidays, showing off and spending money like a drunken sailor, in fact legend has it that he even opened 2 humongous edifices as recent as very late last year. Gbenga was at an actress birthday at Lekki in December of 2017, where we heard he spent some good millions.

According to the gist, he is in fact the "new heartthrob" of the mother of 2, who plays strong in a particular genre of Nollywood and owns a food joint too.

BIG BROTHER AFRICA: THE HOTSHOT- NIGERIAN HOUSEMATES- LILIAN & TAYO

This year's edition of the Big Brother Africa has begun in earnest and it is already generating so much buzz. There are 26 housemates in all, with each of them having a good chance to cart home the $300,000 Dollars prize money (Three Hundred thousand Dollars), that's about #50 Million good Naira for the last person standing.

Amongst those vying for the money are 2 Nigerians. A male & a female; The gorgeous model/Nollywood budding actress Lilian Afegbai, who is known to most as sexy Lee lee & the handsome Tayo, are the lucky 2 out of the many representing the country of over 160 million people.

How would they both fare at the end of the day? We do not know so much yet, but with just a day in the house now, both are already causing some major buzz. Just yesterday alone, both were on each others neck arguing over Love & Ferrari, though it later emerged that Tayo was too hasty in his actions. Is this unnecessary argument good for the 2? Not necessarily, but it's also not bad in any way too. It only brought some attention there way and just shows that they can be turned against each other very easily.

Lilian on her own has started causing major buzz though, she's being speculated to be one of the 1st housemates in the BBA house, that might start a relationship most likely with Luis. Reason for this is because of the way Luis, was seen openly caressing her impressive bum, in the guise of helping her to massage the tired muscles. The ex-staff of  Tunde Fowler's LIRS (Lagos Internal Revenue Service), Sura Shopping Complex branch was seen openly enjoying her housemate's very good effort.

Prior to going into the Big Brother Africa: The Hotshot House, the statuesque model, has featured on many adverts, some of which are "The Gulder Ultimate Search Advert", another  one is the Diamond Bank Plc advertorial with Bovi", she has also featured in some Nollywood movies and a series or 2 on AfricaMagic, she also contested sometime ago at the Miss Delta Soap pageant.

The 2012 graduate of Accounting from the Benson Idahosa University, same school as the likes of past winner of BBA Uti Nwachukwu & Ex-beauty queen Munachi Abii, is said to be an extrovert to the core, an exciting girl, who loves to shock people, not minding how they feel or think. Someone has even said, she who would soon show to the world the stuff of which she's made very soon.  We are eagerly waiting!!!!!

Come Sunday, May 11, 2014 friends, family members & foes alike would gather for the launch of Yoruba Movie actress legend Bisi Ibidapo-Obe's new business, wait for it, it's just like you read above, it would be an adult store cum Lingerie haven. 


Bisi is following in the footsteps of  2 other Nollywood legends, Chidi Mokeme who also owns an adult store located inside Ikota & Lilian Bach who owns a Lingerie store inside Adeniran Ogunsanya Shopping Mall, Surulere. Bisi's own enterprise is located at the Divine Grace Plaza, on Emmanuel Keshi Street, Magodo GRA. The name of the store was coined from her name and it's called BIO Lingerie. The store is set to stock all types of under-wears for both the young & old, men, women & kiddies. And also adult toys for the liberated ones. 

Debunking all the insinuations towards why she was opening the store, especially that she was broke, she only laughed and exclaimed that it is only just another source of income, especially because she has more responsibilities to take care of now.

She is said to have spent quite a tiny fortune (about N5 million) on stocking up the place, she stocked up on things from the US, Canada, France & the UK, so those coming on Sunday are sure going to have a ball doing some beautiful retail therapy, stocking up on new undergarments & some 'nasty' toys.
