DEJI TINUBU SET FOR BURIAL ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 30, 2018

Late Ayodeji Tinubu

The body of the late Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives, Deji Tinubu would be committed to mother earth come this Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the Vaults and Gardens, Ikoyi, Lagos.

The family of the beloved deceased, who slumped and gave up the ghost only last have released a funeral programme for next week.

According to the programme, a service of song is slated for Monday, January 29, 2018 at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, City of David Parish, Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos at the time is 5pm. Lying-in-State is set for the same church venue on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 by 9.30am, thereafter at 10am a funeral service would be conducted to bid farewell to the gentleman par excellence and afterwards the internment at the Vaults and Gardens Ikoyi would take place.

Deji Tinubu had slumped and given up the ghost on the football pitch only on January 25, 2018 while playing a 5-a side football match at the retreat organised by the Lagos State Government at the Jubilee Chalets, Epe, Lagos State. Football was one sport the former sports administrator and enthusiast enjoyed a whole lot.

He was immediately attended to by the retinue of nurses and doctors on standby after he slumped who applied First aod and then was immediately transferred to the General Hospital, Epe, where he was confirmed dead on arrival. Though nothing has been said about the cause of his untimely death, it is suspected that it was complications from something heart related, maybe "cardiac arrest".

The perfect gentleman, who is very soft spoken is a elder sibling of the GMD/GCEO of Oando Ltd, Jibril Adewale Tinubu and a nephew of the former Governor of Lagos State, the Jagaban of Borgu, ASIWAJU Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The late Ayodeji Tinubu, born July 31, 1964 was one of the sons of the late top dog Policeman, Kafaru Tinubu and his wife, Alhaja Bintu Fatima Tinubu. Before his recent change of portfolio, he was the Special Adviser on Sports to the Governor of Lagos State, while he doubles as the Chairman of the the LSSC, a position he held for 4 years. He was the MD/CEO of Sports Vision Nigeria, a company he ran with his bosom buddy, Deji Omotoyinbo. He is survived by his wife, Yemisi and his 2 kids.

He would be sorely missed by all. May his gentle soul find rest.
