PREPARATIONS IN HIGH GEAR FOR THE 80TH BIRTHDAY OF INDUSTRIALIST EXTRAORDINAIRE AARE RAZAK OKOYA

The D-day is Saturday, January 11, 2020 of the year of our Lord. And on that date all roads would lead to the palatial edifice of Chief Dr. Razak Akanni Okoya, CON, which is known to most as 'Oluwa ni shola' (God alone makes wealth) Estate. It is truly a vast estate by all standards with all the works. The great man built the palatial edifice to be a one a one stop place, with a sizable event hall on the estate that can easily accommodate a thousand effortlessly. We doubt if ever there's another estate this colossal in Lagos.

On the date of the gathering, which is Saturday the 11th, a day to his actual date of birth, the great Aare (that is traditional Prime Minister) of Lagos, a title that's just one out of the numerous high powered ones he carries; this particular one was bestowed on him several years ago by the Oba of Lagos. 'Baba Okoya' as some fondly call him, would be clocking the grand old age of 80, that is 4 scores, which is 8 decades on earth! An achievement by all standards. So the party to celebrate him becoming an octogenarian, welcoming him into a class or league of those in their 80s, promises to be epic or better still colossal.

The unrivaled Billionaire industrialist, who is the brain behind and founder of the quite popular 'Eleganza Industries' (Group of Companies) and RAO Property has been in our eyes and on the scene now for very many decades. His has been the story of steady but sure-footed growth till he became the industrial giant he has been for too long now. What has become this oak tree yielding awesome fruits, began with a seed fund of just £70. £20 pounds that he saved all by himself and the other £50 his blessed mother added to it. And in his life's journey he has won many awards too for his hardwork, consistency, perseverance and more.

His younger wife, Dr. Mrs Folashade Okoya who Allah has blessed immensely since she got married to Baba Tunde, with 4 brilliant kids to the boot, is the one that is now the overall boss of that vast company.

Aare Razak Akanni Okoya aka RAO was born on January 12, 1940 in Isale Eko, Lagos Island  here. Chief Okoya is the eldest and the male of the two kids of his parents, his other sibling is his beautiful sister Wosilat Demola Seriki.

Aare has at least 11 kids between his 2 wives and still has other kids from his other former wives too, about 4 of them. Making 6 women in all-Alhaja Kuburat-7. Ajoke, Yetunde, Jennifer, Zainab and Folashade-4.

The impressive Folashade, who is Chief's last wife, who he has also commended greatly for her immense love and extreme loyalty to him is leaving no stone unturned to make sure its another party to look forward to. The Okoya's have been known for many years now to throw some of the best parties/shindigs around. From when they used to live at Ikoyi Crescent residence till now at the vast Oluwa-ni-shola edifice. So Shade is making sure to dot her i and cross her t. The beautiful invitation is already going out.

It has become an annual ritual for Shade and her husband and their kids to have a birthday photo-shoot and we are already looking forward to that too this year.

Don’t they get tired of the same circus every year? Eeeesh!

I must commend her.... over the years nobody has been able to push her out. She has stood strong like an iroko tree. that takes a lot of strength and power

She must be a ‘strong woman’ or her mother is. If you don’t have superior power you cannot last this long with this kind of man, they would have put cancer in your body and eliminated you longest time. There are always too many witches around wealthy men.

At the end of it, 6feet below the earth.

What people fail to understand is she might not be doing anything. God is on her side and it’s her destiny to remain where she is.

Same goes to you anonymous 1:41pm. Death is inevitable we all know.

Just wish she can educate herself better on how to speak in public with all the Baba’s money in her disposal!

Anonymous said...

She is good to look at until she opens her mouth to talk! What a waste

I wonder o! Party every year doesn’t make any sense any longer. You never can tell with this rich people!

Na wa for you never do wells ooooo. Can you all ever see anything good in anything? If she does this you will criticise, if she does that you would find harm. If she doesn't do at all you would call her mumu. Must she please you all? Abi na you people money? Why must it pain you all like this? If she can't speak proper English, let her speak native language abeg. English na you all Papa language? As long as she can communicate OK, then it's okay!! Idiots like you all that must abuse people for no just cause. See the one trying to even correct, making a blunder too. It's money at her disposal. Remove the log in your eye first, before trying to remove from another person's. Anofia!!!!!! Queen's English kill you there!!!! Banza!

If dem don work hard and dem think say na to party be the next thing to do, wetin wrong there? From wetin I hear, they don't also play with charity too in their own quiet way. So to party is not wrong in my own opinion. As long as it doesn't hurt anyone.

Anon 4.44 pm Sorry that Anon comment got to you. Is that you Sade or one of the people on her payroll? Get over yourself and work on what he/she said. I second that comment about her not being able to speak proper English. She is good to look at until she opens her mouth.

Can wait to see what will happen to her if Baba dies!!!

Horrible diction, zero eloquence, inarticulate rendition of words. That is what Sade Okoya stands for.I hope one day,she will be sincere enough with herself on this challenge of hers' and take bold steps to seek assistance and improve herself. She is not fluid at all when speaking English.

Anonymous said...

Tell that to the birds. The things Sade have done eh,if you are privy to a tenth of it,you will faint .Someone came, ursurped the first wife with all her seven children, other children and infact everybody, like that and you imagine it is just ordinary? What is so spectacular about her that will make her enable to completely take over a man of Okoya's Calibre like that?
All I know is that at the end of it all,we are all accountable to God.

Shout out and Great Respect and Kudos to Sir Kessignton Adebutu who despite marrying a much younger wife too, still accords premium respect and first class treatment to the wife of his youth, who is now an Octogenarian like him.

I still maintain that wetin English gain? It's not everyone that can express themselves in Queen's English. She can only try her best and if the best is not good enough for those who don't like her, they should go hug transformers! She can live vicariously through her kids who she's making sure are getting are all getting premium education. How many Chinese filthy rich people can speak English? English in fact is relative. As long as she can communicate what she wants to pass across, that's great enough jare!!! Should she be fully blamed for the decisions an adult like Chief Okoya took....

Thank you for telling the truth. She seems not to care because she obviously reads all posts about her here.

Is it true that they both have hiv?

Anonymous said...

At Anon 10.44 AM Well said. Is not even her speaking English but there is just something about her when she opens her mouth. She is better to look at just like a robot.

Anonymous said...

Wonder what her life becomes if and when Baba goes beyond

Anonymous said...

Even if they do, we shouldn’t be talking about it. Mind your business and wish people well. HIV is not something people should play with.

Keep disgracing and embarrassing yourself up an down and be consoling yourself with wetin English gain.

Much more is expected of an adult who claimed she graduated.

Meanwhile, some University somewhere dashed her honorary PHD and she too answers when they call her Dr Sade.

What will we not see in Naija.
