FAB Magazine Issue 10 Twilight Issue Out Now in Digital and Print

FAB Magazine is out with a much ‘darker’ issue, The Twilight Issue, which is out on Apple, Android and web platforms from today and hits newsstands, in its print form, on 8 February 2013.

Inspired by the end of a season and the beginning of a new one, Twilight Issue celebrates endings as signs of new beginnings.

The Twilight Issue sees FAB Magazine go back to fashion covers with two exciting avantgarde shoots while there is plenty more fashion inside with a whopping 45 pages of editorials and 24 pages of trends from African and international runways.

That’s not all though when it comes to fashion; in line with our theme, in FAB Icons we remember a FAB fashion icon, Remi Oshalake of Remi Lagos who passed away in late 2012, while in FAB Spotlight we celebrate fresh talent, Abuja based designer Stephanie Okeke behind the label Sally Intiego who, at the age of 17, has already showcased her work across the globe.

Another FAB Icon we meet on a London-Lagos red-eye at 30,000 feet is the inspirational Nigerian media mogul Ben Murray-Bruce who talks business, politics and life.

Also gracing the FAB pages this issue are the fab and fly Virgin Atlantic Nigerian cabin crew who dazzle us with their striking uniforms, dazzling smiles and overwhelming charm.

On sale in 8 countries around the world and available digitally on Android and Apple platforms and via www.pocketmags.com , FAB Issue 10 is is sure to be a treat to while away the end of a season.

OUT & ABOUT AT THE FABTASTIC! FAB NIGHT OUT 2012

As busy as last night was, with so many A-class event happening all over the town. The FAB Night out 2012, still delivered on my counts. The venue of the event was The Landmark event center, along Oniru Road, Victoria Island. On getting there, we knew immediately that it was going to be a very big night. If we are correct, this is probably the biggest FAB Night in the series ever. The venue, was so well decorated in black and white, it was like we were in a dream land in one of the Arabian night series. Well packed and well decorated round tables for the A-class guests that were expected.

Security was on point, invitation cards were inspected, tables allotted and guests were led to their tables by the very gorgeous hostesses that dotted everywhere, just in case you were thirsty, there was a bar on the side preparing fantastic cocktail using Jack Daniels as the base, the JD company were one of the event's supporters. Though the event scheduled to start at 6pm didn't start on time, we think it kicked-off at about 8pm, many who came looking gorgeous, waited anxiously for it to begin.

EVA ALORDIAH ROCKS SHARES COVER WITH SKEPTA ON NEWEST ISSUE OF FAB MAGAZINE

FAB Magazine is out with its ‘soundest’ issue to date which hits newsstands this week.

Inspired by the adage ‘Sound mind in a sound body’ and the Olympic fever that took a hold of London and the world at large for the past three weeks, our annual music issue is aptly titled The Sound Issue.

The covers bring Lagos and London sound together with Trybes Records’ First Lady and Nigeria’s hottest new female MC Eva Alordiah and UK’s soundest urban act Skepta gracing the female and male covers respectively. Inside we bring you exclusive shoots and interviews with these young Nigerian stars of music.

But beyond Eva and Skepta, there are many more sound reads in between our two covers. We sit down to chat with some stellar names of African music from South Africa’s DJ Black Coffee to Nigeria’s Emmanuel Cobhams Asuquo to UK’s fresh talent Angel and America’s golden sound Santigold. In the musical vein, we also have a look at the rising talents of British music.

Music is not all though as the 200+ page Sound Issue also brings us sound stories. We document model Samira Hashi’s journey to her homeland Somalia recently documented on BBC3, speak exclusively to CNN 2009 Global Hero Betty Makoni and recount Olympic tales of gold and glory with Nigerian former Olympian Sanusi Turay.

In fashion we spotlight Nigerian designer and fashion editor Mai Atafo and stellar South African stylist Pholoso Selebogo. Our global travellers strike a pose for Hakeem Salaam on the beaches of Cape Town while sartorial stylistas takes to the rooftops of New York in our most colourful menswear shoot to date.

As we’re all about sound minds and sound bodies this season, Team FAB check out fun ways to keep fit while our editor Sinem takes a weekend break in Tunisia now soundly back on the tourist trail. Further afield Mifone’s Nikhil Patel gives us a glimpse of his fab travels around the world and Save the Congo’s Vava Tampa gives us the lowdown on Kinshasa.

On sale in 8 countries around the world and available digitally on Android and Apple platforms and via www.pocketmags.com , FAB Issue 9 is sure to make a sound summer read.
