CLASSY COLLECTION FROM VANSKERE FOR SS 17

The brand Vanskere is undoubtedly one of the best fashion brands in the country, which is totally dedicated to the male folks. They are known especially for exceptional tailoring and very clean lines. Their new collection, which was recently released, reflected again their undoubted ethos.

This new collection is tagged the "Afropolitan 3 piece SS 17 Collection". It is the brand's own interpretation of the regular 3 piece. The 3 piece here speaks of 2 tunics and a pant.

According to the creative director of the brand, "Evans Ekere", they were able to come up with a concept, where one can have 2 tunics that can be worn interchangeably with one pant, without having to make another, which is cost effective.

The collection is targeted at the conservative but matured man and can be worn as either casual wear or more formal attire.

The collection was modelled by top Celebrities likes of veteran actor and broadcaster Patrick Doyle, top actor and writer Kalu Ikeagwu and top Nigerian filmmaker Femi Odugbemi.

DURO OLOWO SCORES HIGH WITH SPRING/SUMMER 2015 COLLECTION

Though the extraordinarily talented designer is of Nigerian heritage, we are not too sure he has ever shown any of his collection in Nigeria before.

This new collection we hear was inspired by his trip to Saint-Louis in Senegal a short while back, where he saw the intermingling of the European & African cultures as it concerns fashion. His discovery on that trip was the spark for this beautiful collection.

Tope Olagbegi is the incredibly talented personality behind the highly successful interior decoration brand known by its logo, that gorgeous ''Orange butterfly''. 


That she's done extremely well with ''Sixth Sense'' that aptly named outfit, is just like over stating the very obvious. Sixth Sense is undoubtedly one of the top 5 best interior companies in Lagos, and by extension Nigeria.

Now after conquering that world, the God blessed, gorgeously pleasant and super stylish lady is bringing the same passion and excellence into fashion. Come the month of March 2014 on one of the Sundays in that month, the very stylish plus sized ladies and many others would gather for the launch of Tope's new baby- Designs by Rehabiah. It is a super stylish brand that is totally dedicated to the plus sized ladies!!! From size 12 upwards and its the real deal.

Nothing in the world says one cannot be big (full bodied) and be 'smashingly' stylish. So Designs by Rehabiah would cater to the needs of these gorgeous, plus sized ones. We are talking about very well made outfits, using super luxurious fabrics from the best parts of the world known for fabrics and ready for all occasion types- be it casual, corporate or even super evening outfits. 

We recently had a peek into some of the collections that would be launched in March (collections like the butterfly, the samurai, the boyfriend etc) and we couldn't just believe our eyes. The richness of the fabrics used, the finishing and detailing, the colour mix and the effect of the super luxe collection on the wearer just brings out the very best in them. 

According to the little gist we were able to put together, at least close to 200 exquisite designs if not more would be made available on the day of the launch.

SALLY BAWA SCORES OVATION FOR A GLORIOUS COLLECTION

 Over the years, this young, gorgeous and extremely talented design maven known to all as Sally Bawa has continually impressed. Collection after collections have all been very well received. 

With this latest collection she has delivered another La Liga worth championship collection. She's gradually becoming a master in the Shaolin temple of fashion designing. And we are glad to applaud another slam-dunk collection.

This new 2013 resort collection is characterised by full length maxis and plunging neckline, set to show-off one of the female's best features.  The collection is tagged Aphrodite by Sally Bawa. Aphrodite is the Greek goddess of love & beauty, while in North America, it talks about a brightly coloured butterfly. 

Both speaks of beauty and love. So you can guess where the inspiration behind the collection is from. The collection is
sultry and seductive range of delicate crepes and effortless silks. Channeling diffident glamour in each windswept piece, the collection is an ensemble of the designers many inspirations ranging from the tropical fierce of the Amazon to the tempting beaches of Miami.

This ready-to-wear line comprises primarily backless evening gowns certain to be the talk of numerous rooftop cocktails with daring cut out and thigh high slits incorporated in certain pieces.

This collection in line with previous collections is a focus on the alluring features of the feminine body and the exaggerated pieces highlight just that. Sally Bawa’s 2013 Resort collection is definitely one for the show-stopping woman in all of her modern day glam.

Buttons Couture Presents: Road to Bravitude

 

As premium fashion-art label Buttons Couture prepares to launch its 2013 collection titled Bravitude, the fashion industry and fashion lovers everywhere will be treated to a peek into the process behind the launch through a docu-series tagged ‘ Road to Bravitude’.
