Ooooo my gawd!!!! Style went on the overload at this year's Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, AMVCA 2018 to be short. It is the annual gathering to award those in the Movie and TV industry for an excellent year. This particular edition was the 6th edition in the series. And the venue of the revelry, fun and fashion showcase was none other than, the expansive Hall of the Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

From all indications, it was obvious that the stars and celebrities and others had been looking forward to the day of the event. It was an opportunity and a day that many could show how advanced their style game has become. Wow wow wow, come and see boobs (breasts)  & cleavages hmmmmm. From the about to sag, to the intermediate sagging, to the attention seeking, still prim and proper, to the outrightly outrageous. The men had things to ogle out, which would have caused a lot of mind to race Formular 1.

It was a colourful gathering no doubt, with many having a great understanding what the occasion entails. It is obvious now that this is the reign of stylists. It is now their time and contribution. It is no more just about the designers or the make up artists alone, the very very important Stylist has come in as the 'Bridge'  He or she coordinates the outlook, or better still the end product. The likes of Toyin Lawani of Tiannah's Styling, Yolanda Okereke, Jerry Ogbodo of Swanky Jerry, Tolulope Bally, Moashystyling, Efetommy and more, are as much stars like the stars they style or dress up.

As per who we count as our best dressed, most outstanding, most stylish of the night? The obvious contenders are Dakore Akande, Peggy Ovire, Rita Dominic, Toyin Lawani, Omawumi, Waje, Osas Ajibade, Fathia Balogun, Nancy Isime, Lillian Afegbai, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde and so many others. As the men, for us Falz was the baddest guy of the night. The fit was perfect, the styling was on point, the outfit was indigenous and his carriage was badass.

OLUWO OF IWO- EMPEROR TELU 1, IS THIS NIGERIA'S MOST FLAMBOYANT ROYAL FATHER?

In every way and manner you might want to describe him he is loud!

Is it in the way he talks or what he says? Is it in his way of dressing? Those royal garbs he loves to adorn are what you can describe as "loud for a purpose".  They come in all the loudest colours that comes to mind, be it blood red, sunflower yellow, royal purple, florescent green, awesome burgundy, badass blue, just think of the colour, this King or should we say self styled Emperor of Iwoland is not shy at all! It's like the louder the colour, the more at home and comfortable the king is in wearing the outfits.

And it's not only just about the colours of the garbs or ensemble alone, even the embroidery and designs on the outfits are not for the faint hearted at all. They are supremely and outrageously dramatic. And when we say ensemble, we mean that it is a complete garb, which includes his pair of colourful shoes too, his royal staff bedazzled with crystals and with the big bird on it shining proudly for all to see, and even the crown is not left out at all emblazoned in Swarovski crystals and they come in all colours too. And lest we forget, even Kabiyesi's sunshades are also loud too! It's like everything about him is deliberately made to make a statement, some would even say to intimidate!

At least we are glad, that the days of drama, when royal fathers used to command so much attention and respect is back again! Not only does the OLUWO of Iwo, the self styled Emperor of Iwoland, Oba AbdulRosheed Adewale Akanbi, Telu 1, the "Alashe Lori Orisha" meaning the "grand commander (authority over) of the gods"; the gods here referring to the ancestors who were once alive and have died and have gone on to become influences over and above the living (that's how he himself explained it). The title doesn't just end there, it goes on as the "Asoju Eledumare" meaning the "Special Envoy" or the "Very Representative of the God", the Natural Paramount Ruler of Iwoland, even his own rendition of his own titles is sagacious to say the least.

For you to even better understand it, even the King's wife, who is Jamaican born and who is the King's number 1 accessory, a proper eye candy we dare say that's by virtue of what she also adorns is also always the cynosure of all eyes when she and her husband goes out together or are seen out together.

WHEN TOLA ADEGBITE'S TURFAH WAS LAUNCHED

Tola Adegbite is the other sister (younger) of Reni Folawiyo, who is the owner of Alara Concept Store and the wife of billionaire businessman and scion of the late Baba Adinni, Alhaji Wahab Iyanda Folawiyo, in the person of the gentleman par excellence, Tunde Folawiyo. Both sisters are high ranking fashionistas of note, known for always putting their best foot forward.

A couple of weeks back, Tola gave life to a dream she has always had to set up her own fashion brand/line, which she named TURFAH, from her 2nd name, which is an Arabic name given to girls and actually translates to mean "Blessings" "Good things of Life" "Luxuries" "Rare Gem" "Something Extraordinary".

The fashion line was launched with much aplomb at the Alara Concept Store with many distinguished people in attendance wearing the brand. The line was the embodiment of everything the name translates to mean, the colours were very rich and exotic and looked quite luxurious, the fabric-100% silk is of the very best, the finishing was topnotch, the styling elegant and standout.

The first line actually delivered on what it promised.

Some of those that attended the event as expected were the likes of Tunde and Reni Folawiyo, Herbert Wigwe of Access Bank, former CEO of Access Bank Aigboje-Aig Imohkuede, GMD/CEO of Oando PLC Wale Tinubu, Kemi Ibru, Ebi Williams and many others.....

One of the early fans of the the brand is the stylish daughter of the billionaire oil mogul, Mr. Femi Otedola, and that's DJ Cuppy who wore "Turfah" very recently to receive her Award at the NYU.

As was expected it was a sumptuously colourful traditional wedding ceremony. Not only was it very colourful, it was supremely stylish to the hilt, everyone made an effort to look totally on point, the colour choice was awesome, burgundy and lilac, Royal blue.....totally a perfect choice. The bride, everly beautiful and in your face gorgeous, wore a "standoutly gorgeous", "made to thrill", very sexy off the shoulder made to measure outfit by young badass designer Toju Foyeh.

That it was colourful has already being established above, it was also awesomely star studded, it was like the stars rained down relentlessly on the venue like torrents, they came and came and were part of the reason that the wedding can be tagged "one of the biggest weddings of the season", they were mostly people in the entertainment industry though, except for maybe Tony Elumelu who came in for like 10minutes and left and Mo Abudu the Ebony life boss who is close to both stars marrying, apart from these two many of those who came were the usual suspects, so no need to start naming names.

Ebuka the hunk stood out on his Agbada, tall, well built, handsome and stylish, take a bow, Rita "the incredible" Dominic, was standout in her sexy black outfit, it's like she can't get it wrong on the style stake, we totally loved Beverly Naya's outfit, so also Toke Makinwa and many others.

#BAAD2017 lived up to all the prehype and expectations in all ramifications, the upcoming white wedding is said to be planned for the very idyllic Cape Town, South Africa, which is rated as one of the 'most beautiful spots on Earth. This romantic duo and their entourage would do that City a lot of good we believe.

The traditional wedding was on Sunday, November 19, 2017, the venue was Landmark event centre, the wow wedding decor was heavenly and much attention to detail was put into it as it was very obvious, everything was on point, planned to the t. It's obvious that all that went had super fun, it was very visible in their mien and outlook. Like they would say, it was lit🎆.

Banky's colleague in the music industry entertained him, his wife and his guests; On stage were the sumptuously gorgeous Tiwa Savage, also was Falz the bad guy and then also the ageless Tuface Idibia, who had to cut short his holiday in Dubai with wife to attend the event.

But the most obvious and most important thing about it all, that was very plain for all to see, is that these 2, these stylish duo, these 2 peas in a pod, are madly in love, so so into each other, they are the perfect example of what is called Ying & Yang, both have found a balance in each other, no acting, no forming, just plain and simply LOVE! And like D'banj said years back in one of his greatest hits, "Love is a beautiful thing............Banky Wellington is quite obviously, crazily, madly, awesomely, gobsmarkingly, undeniably, stupendously, superbly, unconditionally, undisputably in Love with Adesua and it's obvious also that it is reciprocal!

OUT & ABOUT AT THE GRAND OPENING OF TRISH 'O'COUTURE/ LUXURY INTERIORS

Wow! Wow!! Wow!!! The excitement has refused to subside since Saturday, July 29, 2017 which was the d+day of the grand opening of the Trish 'O' Plaza on 27, Karimu Kotun Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.

That date was the official opening of the new HQ of the top Nigerian fashion brand Trish 'O' Couture. It was also the day of the official launch of the brand's new business venture, which is "Trish 'O'Luxury Interiors", a brand strictly into the best of Italian furnitures and furnishings and all of the first class home accessories that makes every home a stand out and not ending there, it was also the Celebration of the birthday of the creative director and MD of the brands, in the person of Patricia Onumonu better known as Tricia or Trish 'O' by most.

To show that even the heavens approved of the day and all that went on, there was a very healthy "showers of blessings" that poured relentlessly from the sky, till just about the time that the building and business was going to be declared opened. At first everyone had felt that the rain was going to mar the event and stop people from coming in high numbers, but in less than 2 hours after the outpouring, the venue was filled to the brim.

The avalanche of beautiful, very stylish and the very well heeled was unprecedented. Like some would say figuratively, they came in torrents and relentlessly.

The beautiful event was organised by the supremely gorgeous (a supremo fashionista to the core) and award winning "event queen"- Ndidi Obioha of Enthyst Events, who put her expertise and experience to great use, space was very well managed and decoration was on point. Arrangements to say the least was top notch, kudos Enthyst

The whole ambience was "gobsmarkingly beautiful" and very welcoming at that too. The canapes were totally and scrumptiously on point, imagine such delights like "chicken lollipops", "prawn cocktails", "jollof rice in cocktail cups", "Shrimp Irie" and "Chicken Wrap", so well named, totally exotic and yummy that we had many helpings and was still not satisfied.

All of these items were coming out one after the other served with delight to the guests.

While the fashion section was on the ground floor, and people were very mesmerised by the colours and the cuts and style, the furniture explosion of the very best of Italian craftsmanship was upstairs.

So while people were picking their delights, they were also networking and backslapping in a beautiful environment.

The event afforded the brand the opportunity to also unveil the season's new collection to the delight of all, as there was a mini fashion show, where the daughter of the creative director dazzled all like she was a professional model, though she's just 10!

The models that were picked to showcase the collection were specifically picked to be as close to normal sizes as much as possible, though the outfits were all already exquisitely made, their (models) carriage added value to what they wore too, so they shown like stars on the mini catwalk.

All in all, it was a very beautifully colourful event, that all who attended commended.

The annual AMAA Awards, one of the biggest entertainment awards in Africa, specially dedicated to the movie industry took place at the weekend Saturday, July 15, 2017 to be more precise, at the expansive hall of the Eko Hotel to dazzling lights.

The stars and celebrities as expected came in torrents, having their best feet forward in Celebration of AMAA 2017. We totally enjoy that many of the attendees at least nowadays always make the effort to look beautiful, stunning and totally on point. Kudos to the stylists and company for their good jobs well done.

We were on the red carpet at this year's event to capture a few of these stars for your viewing pleasure. Many looked super stunning and we just must commend them.

Nigeria's own lady of television, the incredible Mosunmola "Mo" Abudu dazzled all in her gorgeous outfit as expected. One f the other highlights in terms of her style was BBN 2017 fake housemate, Eriata Ese Blessing, in that simple but supremely gorgeous all black outfit. Forever handsome Ramsey Nouah was dapper in his Blue jacket on black pant ensemble.

WHEN YAW'S APERE (BASKETS) CAUGHT MANY GORGEOUS & COLOURFUL PEOPLE

Like a blizzard in a good tempest they descended on the venue, looking hot hot. The young, the not so young, the slightly old and the gentlemen and ladies that made up the audience, they came having their best foot forward, looking totally on point, very many event appropriately​ dressed.

What did they come to do? None other than to be a part of the very exciting world of that Inimitable OAP and comedian, whose repertoire seems endless and unending. Dude be funny, let's not lie at all, that is his royal funniest, Yaw yaw yaw yaw yaw...........

So this year's theme or title was APERE, which translates directly to "Basket",and he must have thrown the basket to the right and good part, for it came back full and overflowing, but he wasn't alone for this year's show, his sidekick, henchman, man friday, was none other than the super talented singer and songwriter​ by name Sound Sultan.

Both were undeniably funny and entertaining and we can bet, some bones would most definitely have been cracked, by the hilariousness of everything. If the crowd we saw was a judge to whether the show was a success, then Yaw most definitely must have laughed home, not smiled well.

We were around to cover the gorgeous and stylish red carpet for your serving delight and it is here in blazing colours. Saw the wonderful wife of the Minister for Power, works and Housing, the very  a kind-hearted Dame Abimbola Fashola, .......was that Kate Henshaw looking smashing as always?
