It was well anticipated and it actually lived up to expectations in all ramifications. Obviously mother of the groom went all out to deliver for her very grateful 4th son. The wedding journey had begun on Thursday last week, continued on Friday with the Nikkai, all in Abuja, the FCT. Then the white wedding/reception was slated for Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Landmark event Centre Victoria Island, Lagos. The day's color was purple. The reception itself was tagged #minkawedding2018.
Groom looked very OK, bride was splendid. There were loads and loads of the young, upwardly mobile, young turks in attendance. It was like they came like a waterfall, all doing their best to outdo each other on the sexiness and style stake.
Shuga band was on point as usual, DJ Obi later killed it with his mixes when the party entered into 2nd gear and expectedly the crowd was appreciative of the effort and danced away.
The guestlist was somewhat intimidating showing that Hajia Bola Muinat Shagaya still packed her clout. Aliko Dangote, Femi Otedola, Tunde Ayeni and wife Biola, MO Abudu, Tayo Ayeni, Terry Wayas, Emir of Kani, Alhaji Muhammed Sanusi II, Musiliu Obanikoro, Otunba Subomi Balogun, Bisi Onasanya, Willie and Nkiru Anumudu, Segun Awolowo Jnr, Hajia Abah Folawiyo, Funmi Goka, Olori Sekinat Elegushi, Olori Ladun Sijuwade, Joke Sogunro, Tunde Osinowo, MD Abubakar, Folake Majin, Toyin Saraki, Olorunibe Mamora and madam and so many others.
We all had great fun. In fact by the time some of us left which was pretty late, the party was rocking and shifting into 3rd gear. We got glimpse of Oyin and her husband on our table. The indimi girls were there too looking intimidatingly gorgeous, Ozinna Anumudu came along with her friend the make up maestro Joyce Jacob, the Olatunji brothers were present and looked stylish as ever. Wole Aboderin was everywhere. Layal and Seyi Tinubu, Lara Rawa and so many others.
