KABIR AND AMINA SHAGAYA'S WHITE WEDDING/LAGOS RECEPTION

It was well anticipated and it actually lived up to expectations in all ramifications. Obviously mother of the groom went all out to deliver for her very grateful 4th son. The wedding journey had begun on Thursday last week, continued on Friday with the Nikkai, all in Abuja, the FCT. Then the white wedding/reception was slated for Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Landmark event Centre Victoria Island, Lagos. The day's color was purple. The reception itself was tagged #minkawedding2018.

Groom looked very OK, bride was splendid. There were loads and loads of the young, upwardly mobile, young turks in attendance. It was like they came like a waterfall, all doing their best to outdo each other on the sexiness and style stake.

Shuga band was on point as usual, DJ Obi later killed it with his mixes when the party entered into 2nd gear and expectedly the crowd was appreciative of the effort and danced away.

The guestlist was somewhat intimidating showing that Hajia Bola Muinat Shagaya still packed her clout. Aliko Dangote, Femi Otedola, Tunde Ayeni and wife Biola, MO Abudu, Tayo Ayeni, Terry Wayas, Emir of Kani, Alhaji Muhammed Sanusi II, Musiliu Obanikoro, Otunba Subomi Balogun, Bisi Onasanya, Willie and Nkiru Anumudu, Segun Awolowo Jnr, Hajia Abah Folawiyo, Funmi Goka, Olori Sekinat Elegushi, Olori Ladun Sijuwade, Joke Sogunro, Tunde Osinowo, MD Abubakar, Folake Majin, Toyin Saraki, Olorunibe Mamora and madam and so many others.

We all had great fun. In fact by the time some of us left which was pretty late, the party was rocking and shifting into 3rd gear. We got glimpse of Oyin and her husband on our table. The indimi girls were there too looking intimidatingly gorgeous, Ozinna Anumudu came along with her friend the make up maestro Joyce Jacob, the Olatunji brothers were present and looked stylish as ever. Wole Aboderin was everywhere. Layal and Seyi Tinubu, Lara Rawa and so many others.

Every which way by which you want to judge this wedding it was big. In fact big doesn't describe it appropriately, it was massive. Yes Eko Hotel Convention Centre wasn't used, but don't be deceived or was totally upscale in every way and manner.

The guestlist was humonguous with most of the billionaires, multimillionaires, carpetbaggers, bourgeoisies in attendance. The style was upscale too, the color of choice was lush purple and the guests went haywire with their styling or interpretation of style. It was a mix of the old and the young, with everyone wanting to outdo each other, but the younger crowd were more adventurous, with sexiness on the overload.

Akin Shuga as expected was on top of his game on the night, dishing out the medleys, a mixture of all the goodies to T he delight of all. Food and drinks shouldn't be spoken about, as it was in over abundance till the end of the party. It was non-stop. Even Krispy Kreme the donut giant were at hand serving their donuts to all. It was fun galore all the way. The party or reception was in 2 parts, the part where the Shuga band serenaded all and then the over lit part, where award winning DJ OBi dazzled all endlessly with massive jams. This part was where the younger crowd had their fun, next to where the first part had happened just separated by a see through curtain.

EVEN THE HEAVEN'S POURED OUT ITS OWN BLESSING ON AMINA WEDS KABIR!

Today Saturday, May 5, 2018 is the D-day. Today is the final chapter of the wedding ceremonies between Amina Buba now Shagaya and Kabir Shagaya, the 4th son of billionaire business woman Hajia Bola Muinat Shagaya.

According to some of the invites the wedding was supposed to have started since 2pm, while on some access cards it reads 4pm.

To show that it's a big day by all standards even the rains began at about after 2pm and it's been showering since then, maybe it's a sign of the heavenly embrace to show approval! To show no be joke at all, even the massive LED platform on the Lekki Expressway toll gate owned by Seyi Tinubu today.

Friday, April 27, 2018 in Abuja, the FCT was lit, as billionaire businesswoman and in-law to the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Hajia Bola Shagaya hosted family and friends to her son's traditional wedding and wedding Fatiha. The night or evening before, which was a Thursday (April 26, 2018) was an exclusive dinner for the friends and family of the couple. One of those who attended both events - (dinner and traditional wedding) in Abuja was Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu's son Seyi, who was in the capital city with his family, to give his friend Kabir Shagaya the groom all the support needed. From the little information at our disposal, Seyi Tinubu was in fact one of Kabir's groomsmen.

Kabir Shagaya is one of the sons of the highly connected Hajia Bola Shagaya, while he is her 4th son, he is actually the last born between Hajia Bola Shagaya and Alhaji Shagaya, who is a transport mogul from Ilorin, in Kwara State. The last boy Tolani, who is the 5th born is a Saro.

The white wedding/wedding reception which if all the feelers we are getting is worth anything, is going to be a big humongous affair. D-date for that is Saturday, May 5, 2018 and the venue of the planned world class reception would be the Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island extension, Lagos.

This whole wedding event comes up only after a few weeks of another wedding that was hosted by Hajia, when her 3rd born-Seun Shamsudeen, a budding pastor of the RCCG got married to the first daughter-Damilola of the Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and his wife, Mrs Dolapo Osinbajo. Though that particular wedding was very subdued considering the caliber of those involved, what was expected and how it went, this particular one is probably going to be much louder and a 0much grander one by all standards.

Except for Seun's wedding that was very quiet by the standards of the super rich Hajia, who has always gone to any length to give her kids the best of the best weddings. Example was when Sheriff Shagaya her 1st born got married a few years back to Maryam, one of the beautiful daughters of Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, that ceremony then was said to have cost both family at least about a billion Naira then, that's (1,000,000,000,000). And that was a while back, with the mother of the groom "supposedly' gifting the then newly married couple a brand spanking new Rolls Royce 'phantom". Aso Ebi for that 2010 star studded wedding then cost 100000 (One hundred thousand Naira). That wedding then was a statement and a lesson in luxury and extravagance.

So, fast forward to several years later now when things are supposed to have even improved much much better, what are we to expect?

Kabir, in his early 30s is the founder/ MD/CEO of his own business-Zippy Logistics, which we hear is an e-commerce brand that is the backbone to some of the biggest e-commerce brands in Nigeria likes of Jumia and Konga and more. The brand from all indications is doing very well. Kabir got his Masters in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship in Manchester. He was at a time a Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola on Climate Issues and Carbon Emission.

We actually do not have much information about his bride-Amina other than the fact that she's a beautiful lady, but we would have all of that by the next report. Meanwhile, Aso Ebis have been bought and people are already going about to make it into some super stunning style that would dazzle and entral all. So Landmark, the choice venue for some of the best events and occasions this year, here we come.

ALL ROADS LEAD TO THE PRESIDENTIAL VILLA TODAY FOR HAJIA SHAGAYA & VP OSINBAJO!

HAJIA BOLA MUINAT SHAGAYA DAZZLES ALL COMERS IN HER THURSDAY'S OUTFIT!

Hajia Bola Muinat Shagaya razzled-dazzled to no end all of Thursday at the 'low keyed' engagement ceremony of her 3rd son Oluseun Bakare to Oludamilola Osinbajo, the supremely beautiful 1st daughter of the current Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and his delightsome wife Dolapo aka Dolly, the granddaughter of the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo and late Chief Mrs HID Awolowo.

Though the VP & his wife stood out admirably in their gorgeous red silk Aso Oke ensemble, renowned fashion icon of note that Hajia Shagaya is known to be, was no pushover at all on the style stake herself! Her beautiful, very well done make up was applied by her regular who she swears by at all times, the magician known and addressed as "Banke Meshida Lawal".

Talking about the BMPro MD, she seems to have slamdunked all comers when it comes to the make up business in the country, all those other names we used to hear about then, seem to have either gone or disappeared into oblivion! When it comes to the make artist to the top celebrities & stars worth their salt, only one major name comes to mind and easily too, that name is none other than "Banke Meshida Lawal of BMPro"!

Back to Hajia Bola Muinat Shagaya, her outfit to her son's engagement/traditional wedding was lush and beautiful in everyway you can imagine it! The purple & burgundy ensemble really matched the occasion, it wasn't vulgar in any way neither was it ostentatious, but the diamond set with Rubies that she wore on her neck, her earrings, her bangle and the totally "iced out wrist watch, really spoke volume in a supremely classy way and manner, even that humongous ring on her finger was "standout" no doubt. Her jewelry collections have always always drawn admiring glances and nods of approvals from the highly discerning. So this also wasn't a disappointment at all.

Obviously everything was carefully picked and assembled for maximum impact but not to deliberately upstage anyone. That she's a knowledgeable billionaire who understands fashion and style was obvious for all to see.

Today, Saturday March 17, 2018 is the "white wedding proper" and it is set for the 'National Christian Centre, Abuja', while the reception afterwards would be at the old banquet hall of the 'Presidential villa', everything still keeping to the theme of a low keyed event, but that the doesn't mean a few high powered Nigerians wouldn't be in attendance.

Immediately after this occasion is done and dusted, it's back to the drawing board again for the billionaire businesswoman, as her 4th son by name Kabir Shagaya is also getting set for his own wedding too, this time around from all indications, no stone would be left unturned to make sure it's a grand occasion, on a much larger scale than this more quiet one .

The month of March 2018 is gradually becoming power packed with the kind of events that would hold in that 3rd month, end of the first quarter of 2018. First it is the Jamil Abubakar weds Fatima Dangote wedding that everyone was getting prepared for in that same month, now feelers that we have gotten has it on good authority that the families of "Osinbajo of Abeokuta, that's the family of the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and his adorable wife would be uniting in Holy matrimony with the Shagayas, that's Hajia Bola Shagaya's family.

Damilola Osinbajo & "Seun" Bakare would on Thursday, March 15 and Saturday March 17, 2018 in Abuja, the FCT, solidify their love for each other by making it legal, both traditionally and otherwise.

From what we have learnt, the 2 families wants to keep the ceremonies hush-hush (very quiet). Why they had adopted that idea we don't know, but we have thought to help them by announcing it to the world for free, without asking for a Kobo and without any stress to them whatsoever.

Everyone already know very well the pedigree of both families uniting in thr marriage. Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, SAN is the legal luminary who is the current Vice President of Nigeria. He was at a time the former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Lagos State during the administration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. His amiable wife on the other hand is one of the grand-daughters of the enigma known to all as Chief Obafemi Awolowo, of blessed memory.

The mother of the groom on the other hand is the billionaire, Kwara State strong woman, HAJIA Bola Shagaya, a top businessman woman and owner of Practoil, amongst several business concerns of the very stylish and quiet lady.

Damilola, the quiet, very beautiful and super intelligent 2nd daughter of the VP & wife is in her 20s, and is an award winning Masters degree holder from a private Ivy league school- Dartmouth College, New Hampshire, Hanover USA.

"Seun" Bakare is one of the sons- (Sheriff, Hakeem, Seun, Kabir and Tolani in that order) of Bola Shagaya. Infact Seun is the 3rd of 5 of Hajia Bola Shagaya sons, and like his mom also, he is a  businessman/player in the oil and gas sector.

For those that don't know, though "Seun and Damilola are getting hooked in March of 2018 which is only a few weeks away", Kabir the next to Seun (4th) is also getting set of marry too, but his own would be in May of 2018.

So it's a double pronged preparation for the Shagayas of Ilorin, Kwara State, knowing Hajia Shagaya very well, both weddings would epitomize class and distinction in all ramifications. One other very curious thing about the March 2018 wedding is also that, while the bride- Dammy is a Christian, her VP dad being a pastor at the RCCG, Seun is a "Moslem"?, his mom is a practising Moslem who is liberal as it seem. So it's a marriage of love and tolerance as can be seen.
