This is one badge of honour that all the recipients, most especially this young trailblazing developer/builder by name 'Sijibomi Ogundele' would sure to treasure, to carry around everywhere with much aplomb and pride. Especially as it is coming from the one rated by all, as the boss of all bosses, the king above all other Yoruba kings in Nigeria, his imperial majesty, the Ooni of Ife, 'Alaiyeluwa Oba Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi', Ojaja II.

Since his imperial majesty came on the throne of his forebears, he has done his best to bring new energy to the palace of the Ooni of Ife, the home of  Oduduwa, with many innovative ideas and one of such is the "Royal African Young Leadership Forum", which is under the umbrella of the Ooni of Ife Global Outreach. Part of the mission of this outreach is to help rebuild Africa's greatness with the youth at the epicenter of this thrust. So part of the agenda is the identification of and the celebration of future leaders in the various sectors of Nigeria.

So in doing the above, the highly regarded royal father played host to 100 bright and futuristic Nigerian youths making waves in their several sectors of the economy, across all geopolitical zones in Nigeria. The areas in purview were Governance, Entrepreneurship, Technology, Creative, Culture, Innovation, Academics and Leadership.

One of the recipients of the Royal Awards was Sijibomi Ogundele aka Sujimoto who is growing in leaps and bound as a developer of note. The Royal Father, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye himself was a developer too before the assumption of the throne.

Some of the other awardees were Funke Adesiyan, Politician, actress and entrepreneur, who is currently a Special Adviser to Nigeria's First lady, Dr. Aisha Buhari; Seyi Awolowo, a grandson of the late sage and Premier of the then Western Nigeria, Pa Jeremiah Obafemi Awolowo, the young man was a recent housemate of Big Brother Nigeria House 2019, the #pepperdemgang; then also were the likes of Eyitope Kola Oyeneyin, Adedimeji Lateef, MC Lively, Ajebo, Jerry Mallo, Yomi Makun of Yomi Casual fame, Hon. Chima Obieze, Dr. Ibidapo Fashina and very many others.

The very well put together event held at the expansive, Oduduwa hall of the Great Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU Ile Ife, Osun State. 2 of the special guests of honour that helped the Ooni  in presenting the awards to the honored recipients were, the Honorable Minister of Youths and Sport, Mr. Sunday Dare and His Excellency, the UAE Ambassador to Nigeria, Dr. Fahad Al-Taffaq.

Sijibomi Ogundele. who is also very well known by his company's brand name Sujimoto, who was one of those prominently recognized by the royal father, later after receiving his award addressed the media thus -

It was a great honour to have received this call to duty and recognition from the most distinguish frontline traditional ruler in Africa – His Imperial Majesty, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi. This award of excellence is a continuous reminder that he who works hard will stand before Kings because I strongly believe that there is no nobility in poverty and it doesn’t matter whether you are from Ikorodu or Ikoyi, immediately you substitute recklessness for diligence, your true potential becomes a reality”.

This, to me, is not just an award. This is a symbol of responsibility-to uphold the Omoluabi spirit — the spirit of integrity, the spirit of perseverance, and the spirit of nobility.


As I sat in a room filled with more than 1000 students and over 99 awardees from fashion,
entertainment, technology, manufacturing, business, and other industries, I realized that the Nigerian youth have not even utilized up to 10% of her potential, our true asset is not in crude oil but in the potential of young vibrant people of our nation. The future of Nigeria is dependent on the opportunities we give our youth. The Ooni has set a precedent for us all to follow. I am happy for the opportunity to be part of a block-chain of young Entrepreneurs, making a difference. I left the events of the weekend humbled and overzealous to do more; inspired to be an agent of change in my industry.

Everyone knows who and what SUJIMOTO the brand is all about and by extension too, the brain behind the property brand, in the person of disruptor extraordinaire Sijibomi Ogundele.

Since this young and quite ambitious property tycoon, with extraordinary gift of the garb and strong marketing skills came to our consciousness, he has shown he doesn't do things in little measures. Quite obviously he decided from the onset, that he wanted to play in the upper echelon of the property market, where only the very strong and wealthy plays and slowly but gradually and surely he is making his mark.

He is also one man that values his reputation a whole lot and pays premium on making sure he is perceived correctly. So when sometime not too long ago. when the social media went gaga about a supposed dirty fight or better still fisticuffs, he supposedly had with a close family friend, he wasn't happy at all about how his image was wrongly portrayed.

So after he must have deliberated extensively with his legal and PR  team about the wrong perception of his person by all those who carried the alleged falsehood. He has decided to first refute same in a very strong manner and in the same vein seek redress for defamation of character or better still the maligning (disparaging/vilifying) his hard earned reputation.

A statement about his intention/action to seek redress was sent out to the public and we have thought to publish same verbatim.

Chief Execute Officer and Managing Director of Nigeria's foremost real estate company, Sujimoto Constitution Limited, Mr. Sijibomi Ogundele, has refuted reports that he had a disagreement with Honorable Olumide Osoba which resulted in a fight.

In a statement released today in Lagos, Mr. Ogundele noted that he did not have any disagreement with the honorable member which could have resulted in a fistfight, saying “I Sijibomi did not attack nor had a fistfight with Hon. Olumide Osoba. Chief Segun Osoba and his family have accepted and treated me like a son. For more than ten years, Chief Osoba has been a father, supporter, an adviser, and inspiration, to me and my business”.

The statement noted in part “defamation comes at a cost, and we will not pick the bill for such recklessness.  All the media houses that have ignored sound journalistic integrity and replaced facts with gossips, will soon realize that a billion naira off their balance sheet, will be the cost for defamation. It might take one, five or ten years, but we are positive that those reporters, who have shunned journalistic ethics for immediate gratification, will soon feel the full wrath of the law”.

The real estate entrepreneur noted that he has been a longtime friend with Olumide Osoba “Olumide and I have been friends and brothers for over a decade, and he is a very honorable man with strong integrity. We have both been there for each other, morally and financially”. As humans, it is normal to have disagreements, but not to the extent of publicly trading blows. Honorable Osoba and I had not been in direct contact for almost three years and when I saw him at a function, I approached him in the spirit of the season”.

Ogundele noted that during the course of the conversations and the activities at the venue that a fight might have broken out but that it had nothing to do with him. "To reiterate, I never had a fight with Hon Osoba. I never laid a hand on him nor have I ever portrayed myself like Anthony Joshua as ridiculously described by vindictive newsagents. His younger brother and my friend Tobi Osoba were witnesses to the events. Additionally, close friends such as; - Akin Onitiri, Maurice Khawan, Victor Ovia, Tive Ibru, and Doyin Alatise were present. The CCTV footage at the space can corroborate against this false and unsubstantiated media report which I find very distasteful”.

As CEO of a fast-growing company, Ogundele explained that corporate decency is of utmost importance to him and his company. As a successful corporate player, the statement avowed that Ogundele is very aware of his public conducts while it worried that many families have been destroyed, businesses and brand equity built over the years have been shattered irreparably; bonds of friendship and relationships are broken as a result of fake news promoted by the supposed referees of information – the media.

It noted further “as a company, we refuse to be easy prey or a hapless victim of cyberbullying from morally bankrupt individuals or organizations. Our company was founded on the principles of integrity, hard work and diligence. Without any help from a rich aunt or powerful uncle, we have maintained a high level of consistency and integrity”.  

“The bearers of fake news have no regard or boundary for persons or authorities.  However, we at Sujimoto do not have the appetite or tolerance for such excessiveness and we will use this opportunity to show fake news peddlers that Nigeria has effective media laws and a workable judicial system”.

It went further to note that “we received calls and messages from clients and I have had to explain and assure them that the inspiration towards entrepreneurship and leadership supersedes any art of public misdemeanor”.  Noting further that it is important to put on record that the purported news report by different blogs and news agencies are “false, malicious and seemed to have been financed by our detractors, with the intention of bringing my reputation to disrepute”.

The statement explained that it strongly expect that the management of these media houses, as a matter of necessity, will not only pull down the malicious fake reports but also conduct due diligence “to fish out the reporter and editorial team responsible for such falsehood, and bring them to justice; to uphold the integrity of journalism which is founded on the tenets of truth, fairness, and justice”.

SUJIMOTO AND HIS MAD LOVE FOR TITO. IS HE ABOUT TO PROPOSE?

Sijibomi Ogundele is the bright young man that is widely referred to as the "billionaire" property tycoon, he is better known by his Japenese sounding moniker SUJIMOTO. The billionaire tag we believe is misapplied though for now, maybe in Naira if looked at critically and we have no doubt the billionaire status would actually come some day, if he continues on his path. 

Since the dude arrived on the scene a few years ago like a bolt out of the blue, dazzling all comers to no end, flashing, flossing, he has remained consistently in our consciousness since then, majorly because of his brazen attitude. He seems to understand Nigeria & Nigerians very well and knows how to wake them up to always take notice. He has spoken on several counts about his audacious dream of building, Lorenzo by Sujimoto, most probably the most lavish, most luxurious, most in your face, the tallest residential building in Ikoyi, that would boast the best amenities money could provide (fully automated). We have waited and are still waiting for that dream to at least start/materialise, but some are even claiming he hasn't yet bought the land to build that humongous edifice yet, not to talk of building it. We have no doubt that the highly focused young dude, would one day make this audacious dream a reality and that's because we believe in him. Never ever say never as nothing is impossible!

That Suji is audacious is stating the very obvious, he is very bold at that, you need to hear him talk and you would be totally taken, totally swept off your feet. He is well gifted man with extraordinary gift of the garb, that is just too irresistible and to add to it all, he is a man of style in his own way, a total package we hear you say! We prefer to call him, "the most well packaged" young man in Nigeria. Ignore him at your own peril. And he is one of Nigeria's most eligible bachelors, very ready to mingle.

Tito Ovia on the other hand is the 2nd daughter of the super rich former MD of Zenith Bank, now the chairman of the Bank, in the person of Mr. Jim Ovia. Let's try to put it properly, Tito is the adorable 2nd daughter of the single largest shareholder in Zenith Bank, one of the top 5 biggest banks in Nigeria, by any yardsticks you might want to measure it. Jim Ovia is a Forbes rated billionaire. He is not just a banker, but is also into properties, ICT. He used to own one of the best communication's brands in Nigeria before by name Visafone, which was later sold to MTN very profitably at that. Much is not really known about his daughter Tito, except that she's Jim's daughter but we presume she would be highly read and be very well educated at some ofun the bestate schools around the world.

So what's the connection between Suji and Tito? Our bird in the sky suggests that cupid has shot his arrows at the heart of the 2 younglings and has caused their hearts to dance Jigida continously. And the arrows so well deeped in love potion has mesmerised the 2, so much so that they are deeply, madly, unrepentantly in love. Is this the love, is this love, is this love, (in Bob Marley's voice) that Suji clamoured for and spoke about sometime ago? When he openly spoke about a possible sidekick, who he would give a house in Banana Island to and would also deliver with the house a machine of a car-a Rolls Royce for that matter? Maybe this is it!


Let's quote him- May I, Sijibomi find true love before Christmas. SomeOne whom I can crown with a house in Banana Island and a Rolls Royce before Christmas.

Maybe it's this Christmas (2018) that he was projecting then, when he spoke. According to our bird, "Ceteris Paribus" All things being equal" Suji might be getting set to P.R.O.P.O.S.E, so maybe a wedding massive wedding is upcoming end of the year, sometime next Year? Fingers crossed!

No no no, it's not that talk again about him looking for his missing rib, that lucky damsel who he plans to bless with a state of the art home in that enclave of the super weslthy Banana- Island Ikoyi and with a Rolls Royce in the garage.

This time around the man whose dream, is as big as the universe itself, who believes that everything is possible as long as you put your mind to it, is up to something totally out of the world and that dream is to be located at "Banana Island", Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria.

According to the gist, Suji like many prefer to call him who owns the famous Sujimoto Construction has already raised from local investors a colossal "1 billion Naira towards this dream project", that he holds very closely to his heart.

Though facts about this project is still sketchy, we hear the initiator is excited beyond measure.

Maybe, this is the new idea that has replaced the other one which had gained much traction before which is the Lorenzo by Sujimoto, which is yet to have begun many many months after the attendant excitement that heralded its announcement.

Sijibomi Ogundele is his real  name, but he is also very well known by his exotic sounding moniker or is it alias, Sujimoto.

He is a young and very resourceful man, especially blessed with the "gift of the garb". That he can talk, is second nature to him. He dresses well, he is a dandy who always looks dapper when you encounter him. He runs his own "eponymous'' establishment-Sujimoto; a brand that is into the construction, renovation and marketing of *premium real estate". He has a very ambitious project planned that would take him into the stratosphere, when executed.

He is a man of extraordinary sagacity, he goes to great lengths the make you understand where he is coming from and where he is hoping to land or be in the nearest future!

This very "eligible dude" from the source, who counts as one of his life's icon the Grand Sheikh of Dubai, just very recently waxed very lyrical about his desire to find true love, before the year ends (by Christmas).

In his text found on his Instagram page, he spoke about what the "lucky angel, his princess" that would mesmerise him continuously and sweep him off his feet to fall sweetly, on the magical Aladdin like mat of love would gain for their love for him- His carrot (🥕) which he hopes to crown the lady with- "A beautiful house (home) in Banana Island (that stupendous enclave of the super rich) & a Rolls Royce (we don't know which of the Rolls Royce, but it is still probably one of the best and most luxurious of super cars, but we prefer to refer to it as the 'ultimate chariot').

So damsel, lady, babe where are you hiding? "Prince Charming aka Sujimoto" like the Prince in the Cinderella story is searching for his princess, are you gorgeous enough to wear those gorgeous and very delicate glass slippers? Do you fit the bill? All the "unfine/ugly step sisters need not apply!
