TINIE TEMPAH ROCKED AT THE GQ PARTY

British-Nigerian music act Tinie Tempah who was in Nigeria at the tail end of last year, showed class at the British GQ party he co-hosted with Sir Paul Smith recently. He was decked out in a red Paul Smith 2013 number looking mad hot, the outfit is not even out yet, he finished of the look wearing a black Christian Louboutin Japonaise Loafers.

Truth be told this guy is one of the best dressed guys in the world.

IS TINIE TEMPAH IN FOR KOKO CONCERT ON DECEMBER 27, 2012?

This year's Koko Concert would be the first after the demise of  that hugely successful team that used to be known in the industry as Mo'Hits Records. It has been several months since the break up that brought about Maven Records on one side; Made up of the likes of Don Jazzy, Dr Sid, D'Prince, Wande Coal and their first lady-Tiwa Savage and on the other side, Nigeria's most exposed musician till date in the person of Mr entertainer himself, Dbanj, his brother K-switch d'Product and J.Sol, that's the new D Banj Record's signee. 

Everyone in Nigeria and even outside already knows that the Koko Concert is set for December 27, 2012 at the Eko Atlantic Beach venue. It is also nothing new that British born top actor, Idris Elba is going to host this year's edition of the concert. While several foreign artistes are being touted to perform, 2 of those already confirmed are, Big Sean & Pusha T. One name that most have not heard about in the equation, but that we at MM hear might be performing is none other than top international music act, who though is British born, is of Nigerian extraction and that is Patrick Chukwuemeka Okogwu jr. aka Tinie Tempah. According to our snooping bird in know, Tinie might have agreed to come to Lagos to perform at the Koko Concert, thereby helping to add more spice to the already sweet soup that's been cooked for December 27, 2012. We hear that, the DBR crew might still be trying to dot their i's and cross their t's. So if the deal scales through, then expect T.I.N.I.E TEMPAH.

It would be a fitting end to the year for D Banj and his crew, if this is another very successful Concert. His London HMV Apollo concert tagged the D Banj and friends was an unbelievable success, the venue was so packed out it was unbelievable, with many of his loyal fans flying in from the US, Nigeria and nearby countries. It has also being an award laden year, for the great Oliver Twist, aka the Black Mamba, with over 12 plus international recognition from far and near, and newer nominations just announced. His new single titled- Top of the world, has also being chosen as the official song for the 2013 African Cup of Nations. So it has been a mixed bag of the good, the bad and the ugly for him, but it all seems to be ending very well after-all.

The fantastic magazine where the incredibly talented-Dylan Jones reigns as the supremo in their March 2012 edition, that has the incredibly gorgeous and fantastic British actress-Keira Knightley on its cover, published its annual "BEST DRESSED MEN'S LIST" a few weeks ago. 


What's so fantastic about that, some would say, it's an expected annual ritual the Magazine with a worldwide follower-ship publishes every year. Yes we agree, it's nothing new, it's always expected. What we are on about, are some of the names that has appeared rather prominently on the list. YES! Prominently, they are not just filling the numbers, but in fantastic positions. Occupying the prime position on the list as King of style, as agreed by some panel of judges, made up of the likes of - Giorgio Armani, Christopher Bailey-BURBERRY, Gary Barlow, Frida Giannini-GUCCI, Tom Ford, Domenico Dolce |& Steffano Gabbana- D&G,Tommy Hilfiger, Anya Hindmarch, Richard James, Dylan Jones, Kelly Rowland, Piers Morgan, Dermont O'Leary, Sir Paul Smith just to mention a few, agreed that our very own- TINIE TEMPAH is the nos 1 style man- yes!-Patrick Chukwuemeka Okogwu-the English rapper and like his name correctly suggests of Nigerian origin, he is not just a style buff, but is also presently enjoying world acclaim by virtue of his music. Guess who is occupied the 2ND position on the style list? The one, the only- enfant terrible- the 6 foot 2" tall, Black Sicilian wonder kid born of Ghanaian parents- MARIO BARWUAH BALOTELLI ,21, who plies his trade with the current English Premiership League leaders- Manchester City.

Also on the GQ shortlist of the best dressed were- ADRIEN SAUVAGE, 29, he is an English Fashion designer, director and photographer of Ghanaian descent, he is 44th on the list, occupying nos. 36 on the list is RICHARD AYOADE 35, a British comedian, actor, writer and director, who like the name suggests was born to a Nigerian father-Layide Ade Laditi Ayoade and a Norwegian mother. 34Th on the list is CHUKA HARRISON UMUNNA 33, a British Labour Party Politician and Lawyer, he is presently an MP. His dad is an Igbo man, from Awka, Anambra State in Nigeria. 11Th on the list is Dylan Kwabena Mills aka DIZZEE RASCAL 28, who is an English rapper, songwriter and record producer of both Ghanaian and Nigerian heritage, late dad was a Nigerian and mom was the Ghanaian. Occupying the 7TH position on the list is the exceptionally gifted actor-IDRISSA AKUNA ELBA 40, the English TV, theatre and film actor. His dad is Sierra Leonean and Mom Ghanaian. On a shortlist of 50 that had such names like- David Beckham-nos 13, Angelo Gallaso- nos 19, Dermot O'Leary nos 18, David Furnish & Elton John at nos 15 & 20 respectively, Prince Charles at nos 50, Piers Morgan at nos 48, Daniel "James Bond 007" Craig at nos 37, Colin Firth at nos 31 etc, then Kudos must definitely go the way of this sons of Africa, who have  all done the continent proud.
