After the launch of their incredible DSTV explora decoder they have not rested on their oars and every other time are coming up with many innovations to keep us glued to them. 


Lastnite Thursday, April 24, 2014, at the Grand Ballroom of the Intercontinental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos the brand launched one of the major features on the new Explora which is the their video rental services tagged Box Office (Video on demand) a very unique feature on the new decoder. 

With this launch, video rental stores are going to have a big run for their money, that's because right inside your homes, offices etc you could just rent and watch any of the film of your choice with a minimal amount. At the event lastnite, we watched a couple of films like Escape, the Wolf of Wall Street & Don Juan, it was pretty exciting. 

At the event to make it happen were the likes of Emem Isong, Uche Rodriguez (we totally love her outfit), Ramsey Noauh, Rukky Sanda, Uti Nwachukwu, Victor Ikpeba and many others. There was plenty of music and fun to go around.

ADEPERO ODUYE LOOKS SWEET IN 'BUSAYO' FROCK

Adepero Oduye is one of the 7 kids born to Nigerian Parents. She's an American-Nigerian star actress who graduated from Cornell University and as garnered some acclaim as an actress in not too short career.
She gave a superb account of her acting prowess in the much loved 12 years a Slave. Her depiction of her role is unforgettable. She's also gotten loads of awards nominations.

She was at the Chanel 2014 Tribeca Film Festival Artist Dinner a few days ago and she had on a multi-colored tie&dye A-line frock called the 'Busayo' frock.

Just in case you haven't being seeing much of the delightsome former actress and wife of Musa Danjuma (the super rich younger brother of Retired General TY Danjuma), in the person of Caroline Ekanem-Danjuma, it's because we hear that madam is very heavily pregnant and has been staying more at home in their colossal mansion in Ikoyi. 

According to the gist, she's most likely already in her 3rd trimester and still looking gloriously gorgeous. 

This would be her 3rd. She already has 2 boys.  So congratulations to her and her husband. One would have expected she would have gone abroad at this stage to deliver, like they normally do. Anyways this might finally be the girl sha!!!!!!!!

After all the brouhaha, shock and disbelief that attended the alleged break up of one of Nigeria's most successful duo to date or should we say trio(Paul, Peter & Jude), the alleged combatants seem to have allowed common sense to reign and have now sheath their former drawn swords. 


Whatever it was that made them see reason, it is most definitely a very welcomed development and their fans sure appreciate it. If we can add our own little cup of tea, we are of the opinion that the break-up wouldn't have been beneficial for all of them. Apart from Jude, we think survival would have been very hard for the twin if they had gone solo. 

P Square is a duo, a team. 2 singing and dancing brothers who have done extremely well together as a team, protected by their elder brother. It's not has if they are the best singers in Nigeria or best dancers or even the most handsome, but their combo was heaven's made, unmatchable and unrivaled.  There was just this grace about them. Now at the height of it all, they now want egos to rob them of so much. Naaa the devil is a LIAR!

If it was the Glo warning that made them retrace their steps, then it is great. If it was that and many other factors that was considered, then all well and good.  All those involved in helping to sort out the problems should be commended. 

We do not want another unnecessary break-up that wouldn't be beneficial to the group and even to the fans. See as D banj is still grappling to make it happen at that same level as it was in the days of Mo' Hits........, but it's still a struggle. Though the break up has allowed for Dr Sid & D'Prince to blossom, what would it have been like if D banj was still a part of that colossal team.

So Paul, Peter & Jude don't kill this winning formula ooooooo. Do not allow success, money, fame, even 'women' etc get you guys totally swollen headed oooooooo. This is a blood family, fight and sort your differences out and move on. And please Jude calm down sir!!!!

We love P Square, not Peter Square or Paul P Square. Just P SQUARE!!!!!!

The annual 100 most influential issue of TIME Magazine is out and 2 of our best, namely the Richest Nigerian on Earth and by extension the richest African on the Universe Alhaji Aliko Dangote, the president of the Dangote Group was amongst those listed. Not just him alone, also on the list is our very own Finance Minister & coordinating Minister in charge of the Economy, the one & only Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. 


With these 2 Nigeria is on the world map again for good reasons. A major kudos. Aliko Dangote's piece was written by fellow billionaire, in fact the world's richest individual Bill Gates, while that of Okonjo-Iweala was done by the very incredible Bono, the well respected front man of U2.

A year ago, I gave a speech in London about the fight to eradicate polio. It included a section on Nigeria, one of just three countries where the virus still circulates. The organizers told me Aliko Dangote had been invited. I thought, I’d like to see him, but he’d end polio faster by staying in Nigeria and doing the work he does every day. Fortunately, Aliko thought the same thing. He skipped my speech, and the children of Nigeria are better off for it.

GENEVIEVE NNAJI RETORTS THAT HER ROLE IN HALF OF A YELLOW SUN'' NOT HER MOST CHALLENGING

Super gorgeous role interpreter, the incredibly talented and sweet Genevieve Nnaji (Africa's own Julia Roberts) who had a small role in Chimamanda Adichie's ''Half of a Yellow Sun'' which featured other super stars like Chiwetel Ejiofor, Onyeka Onwenu, Thandie Newton, Anika Noni Rose and the likes has said that though, the book film adaptation is one of her biggest films so far, it wasn't her most challenging in any way. 

Hear her- ''Half of a Yellow Sun is one of the biggest films I have done so far, but definitely not the most challenging  role I have played in movies. I have done a lot more challenging roles in Nollywood''.

In the film the award winning Genevieve had just 3 very minimal scenes, something many of her fans didn't like.

It has been a colossal 2 years for this Kenyan bombshell. Not only has she done well as a thespian (Oscar awards and many others now litter her table), she's also slayed all comers on the fashion stake (she's gotten my thumbs up for her style choices on many occasions). Then also she got the Lancome contract. No wonder People Magazine has duly recognized her contribution and she has been tagged the most beautiful for 2014. 

Also on that list that has many other gorgeous world famous beauties is super gorgeous Gabrielle Union, the 41 year old actress is a stunner any day. She and the other brown skinned gorgeousness personified, who is married to American-Nigerian- Nnamdi Asomugha, that is Kerry Washington-Asomugha were also listed in 2013. Making it 2 years in a row for the duo.

All 3 are ladies who have done very well for themselves in what they do. Olakunbi Oyelese one of the trio today clocked the big 30 and it was an outpouring of heartfelt birthday messages for the delightsome designer, who is the creative genius behind the fashion designing brand April by Kunbi. Truth be told, she's done really well with her label. The graduate of the world famous New York Fashion Institute of Technology is already being celebrated as one of the major generation next in the fashion world in Nigeria. 

Her clientele list keeps growing bigger and bigger by the day, with more celebrities and stars getting hooked. 

We particularly love the birthday message on her instagram page- ''How can I say Thanks for the things you have done for me, Things so undeserved. I have been sick, I have been heartbroken, I have been bereaved, but more than anything I have been Blessed! God has been soo good to me and he's not done with me yet. I 'm super grateful to be alive, celebrating my 30th!!''

The 2nd person is none other than the gracious and gorgeous Ojy Okpe, former model extraordinaire and now wife and mother. Ojy still looks lithe and gorgeous any day. The only other Nigerian model to have gotten major international contract was discovered at the age of 17 years old.

The last but not the least of the trio is none other than one of the biggest names in the Nollywood Industry in Nigeria and by extension Africa- Ini Edo-Ehiagwina. The gorgeous & well respected thespian was born April 19, 1982, making her just 32 years old. The graduate of Theater Arts has done over a century of movies already and she's one of the highest paid also. 

So happyyyyyyyyyy birthday to all the 3 gorgeous ladies, many more eventful years ahead.

WHAT'S THE TRUTH ABOUT BOLAJI ESHO'S PRESENT DILEMMA?

For many that might not know him, Bolaji Esho is the boss of Eldorado and a well recognized socialite based in Lagos, who at a point in time when all was going on well for him was a free spender, known to many of the praise singing musicians who couldn't stop praising his name to high heavens. But like the good saying goes ''What goes up, must surely come down'' it's like the bubble has bust now and things are not as rosy as they used to be sometime back. Especially in the days of Eldorado at the Elegushi Beach, at the height of the Malaysian boys when money was flowing like a waterfall and those boys were looking for entertainment and where to spend it. We heard one of the best places to go to then was Eldorado because of the unbridled fun they used to provide. 

Now it's like Bolaji Esho is leaving on past glory. There are 2 major dilemmas our glorified socialite is said to be facing right now; Firstly allegation of fraud against him amounting to about N48 million. He was said to have been picked up by the SIB unit of the Police about a fortnight ago to come explain his involvement in the alleged scam. Apparently a Malaysia based business associate of Bolaji by name Samson Ajani, alleged that he had given Bolaji Esho N48 Million Naira to help build a farm in Epe since 2012, but as at 2014 which is 2 years after, only a fence is what is available on the so called farmland. Apparently wanting Bolaji to give him back the bulk of the millions not used has become a major problem. The way we see it, it might be very hard for this money to ever be recovered. After his arrest and him giving his statement, stating his own part of the story, we hear that was released on bail and the case would be coming up in the law court sometime soon.

While grappling with the first dilemma above, which we hear he is doing all his best to sweep under the carpet or make disappear, another problem is said to have cropped up. This second dilemma has to do with the birth of what is supposed to be his 2nd born, his first born were a set of twins.
