TUNDE & RENI FOLAWIYO |
ARTIST'S IMPRESSION OF ALARA CONCEPT STORE |
MORE AFTER THE BREAK. PLS CLICK ON READ MORE BELOW
Joining the league of these top stores very early next year would be Jennifer Obayuwana's own answer to what the very stylish peeps and unrepentant fashionistas have been asking for, hers is called POLO AVENUE, located at the POLO Penthouse on Ozumba Mbadiwe, Victoria Island. Polo Avenue as we speak, have already taken delivery of their consignments from Gucci, D&G, Jimmy Choo,, Sophie Hulme & Balenciaga. We had a peek at the new store very recently and we were more than impressed. The interior for want of a better expression to use is ''bad ass'', most definitely first class.
The other new store that recently got our attention is Yemi Ishola's tribute to class and all that's stylish on Awolowo road, Ikoyi, Lagos. As at now, we do not think that this store has any rival whatsoever. The interior is world class in every way and very straight to the point. If we are not mistaken, this store is most likely the branch of Giambattista Valli, Dsquared, Guiseppe Zanotti and a few other very exclusive fashion brand in Nigeria, you see all sizes & style of these brands at the store. Yemi Ishola obviously went the extra mile to make a bold statement with this his new flagship.
Away from all this other stores, let's talk about the meat of the matter- Reni Folawiyo's upcoming Alara, which some have speculated is going to be somewhere on Akin Adesola street, Victoria Island. For those who might not know, Reni is the very gorgeous and stylish wife of billionaire businessman Tunde Folawiyo. She's said to be a trained interior decorator so one should expect that the new store is going to be one the one to beat and copy by all. after they open. Most definitely money is no issue. In fact, we heard that award winning architect of note, in the person of David Adjaye was the one commissioned to build the concept store. The plan was for the store to be opened before the end of this 2013 before, but we think that might have been postponed till early 2014 now. We hear madam has traversed the fashion capitals of the world to stock up for the store. The opening we know for sure would be world class.
We have the artist's impression of the upcoming store above.

I think Nigeria has a different trend compared to the western world. I am not being boastful 'cause I live in the western world, as it isn't difficult for everyone to reside in the western world

I'm not sure what "dross" means, please what does it mean? Europe is open to every one to visit or to live in, the Americas - the western world. Please has these answered your "dross" question?

"You aren't being boastful because you live in the Western world." A lot of the time when people say they aren't being boastful, they are actually being boastful without realising it! If you weren't being boastful why mention the word even?
"and it's not difficult for everyone to reside in the Western world." If it's not difficult for anyone to live in the Western world why are you being boastful about it?
Nnem, I'm Igbo, we don't have time for long-winded statements. Go straight to the point, talk to me, I'm listening, ALL ears. :-)
