Don't get scared, we are not talking of naked flame of any kind here, but just merely playing with words or should we say making use of an appropriate figure of speech literally. The focus of our attention is none else than the dazzling winner of the 'BBNaija Pepperdem 2019' & that's talking about Mercy Eke. She was the last lady and last person standing of all the housemates at the last BBNaija series where she pulverized and annihilated all comers.

Her winning percentage was far more than that of the 2 runners-up Mike & Frood combined. That was just a mere show of the sheer power of the effect she had on people. People actually went all out, to vote her to win. Never before had someone so ignited people like that. We doubt if any elections in Nigeria, had ever gotten such level of excitement and participation ever before.

With Mercy, you either fall deeply in love with her & her antics or you just don't like her. But there was just something very infectious about her. First was that confidence and later fear. Or was it that her signature dance, where she just turns her bum on you at the slightest opportunity and then just twerk her life away with utter abandon? One thing again that was noticed about her from day one was her style.

From what we saw till the end, she never repeated an outfit all through her 99 days in that stifling house. She even had more than enough wigs to flaunt, to the extent she could loan some out. For us we believed that she used the house as her runway, the perfect stepping stone. She was well prepared for the show obviously and with every opportunity given her, she razzle-dazzled us with one impressive outfit after another, always playing to her strength, showing her curves. Truth be told, she was truly the 'queen of highlights', she earned that title well.

She was one person that kept many glued to the TV as everyone wanted to see what she was going to wear or come out with every weekend. The person that did her bum did a good job and she too knew how to work it to maximum effect. Either glam or casual, she was always on point. So she deservedly won. If she didn't, maybe many would have felt short-changed. And they could have protested!!!!!!

And to show that style-wise, she isn't a flash in the pan, she has refused to let down her guard even after leaving the house. Wounding us (in a good way) day in, day out with her impressive style options. She hasn't yet placed a foot wrong in the style department. In fact, we believe she must have won more converts or fans to her side since she emerged from the house.

We actually didn't write a single line for her, all through her stay in the house, even as she caught our attention while she was a house mate. But now we just couldn't resist saying our 2 cents.

It's so incredibly obvious that "Mercy Eke aka Lamborghini Mercy", the gorgeousness with the million Naira ass (M.N.A), is unofficially, the 'most stylish' of all the BBN season's housemates bar NONE. And by that we are combining all the different Big Brother Housemates.

We couldn't just resist how she totally mesmerized us in no small way/measure in this her short, blue outfit. We had 1st thought it was Toke, but had to do a double take, as Toke is a lot more petite.

Here in the picture is Mercy the incredible and her badass stylist, the one and only SwankyJerry. This is perhaps one of the most perfect collaborations we would ever see. Borrowing a statement from our good colleague, Kemi Ashefon, who tagged it the  "stylist & his muse", we have thought to say the king stylist and his princess charming muse, that statement perfectly suites/fit what is captured here.

All great designers from the incredible Christian Dior to the incomparable YSL to the awesome Jean Paul Gauthier & more, all had their favorite muse, who perfectly encapsulated & expressed their most fantastic inner most expressions of style. With Mercy Eke, Nigeria's most famous & one of the most magical of stylist-Swankyjerry seem to have found his forever, most perfect muse yet. And we are truly and overwhelmingly excited about it.

We are in fact, expecting MAGIC of the most incredible & awesome type. Mercy seems to be the most perfect blank canvas ever, either to express style or even for make up too. See in this pictures above, also make up done by the magical hands of bibyonce.

Both are very well respected royal fathers and both also extraordinarily colourful and imposing. Their stools are held sacred, though one far more than the other in terms of hierarchy based on the history, culture and the tradition of the Yotubas.

Both are very okay in terms of wealth, but one far far more than the other, in fact the unsubstantiated belief is that the Olugbo is the richest and wealthiest Nigerian king. He owns and is the chairman of a oil and gas brand, named after himself. The Ooni by contrast used to be mainly a developer, and he is one of the investors that built Inagbe Resort, one of West Africa's most beautiful resorts.

While age is far more on the side of the Ooni, who is just 42. The Olugbo on the other side is his 60s and not getting any younger, thank God for money he would have aged far more obviously.

Style is about knowing your positives and accentuating to high heavens. It's not about unnecessarily following trends, that's because it's not everything trending that might look good on you. 

Either Rita is a style maven, made in heaven or her stylist is very good. She seems to get it right 80% of the time. And in this very functional and 'safe' outfit, she got it to the t. We think the outfit is black and one of those things we know about black is that ''It helps to hide a multitude of sin''.  So whatever sin of style Rita might have committed or do have in this outfit, it ain't visible.  We would have loved to see those shoes. They are Guiseppe Zanotti Firewing Sandals in black patent leather and calfskin with ankle straps twin-straps. Heel height is about 5.1 inches.

IS ROTIMI AMAECHI NIGERIA'S MOST STYLISH GOVERNOR OR SHOULD WE SAY FUNKIEST?

We have observed his Excellency, the Governor of the very oil rich state of Rivers over time and we can attest to the fact that he loves to stand out. Fashion-wise, over the course of time, we have noticed that he loves to take risks, it is obvious that he is a young man at heart and if you have the wherewithal to afford those things that stands one out, then why not get them. We have seen a few things by Billionaire Couture, where Angelo Galasso used to reign supreme on our beloved Governor a few times. We are not too sure, but we also think he has a few things by Angela Galasso now that the designer is back on his own.  Apart from this particular brand, we have seen a few other brands on him. The beauty of it majorly is that he wears the clothes (ensembles) and not the other way round, like some people.

Some have come to say that a complete style man is fully clothed when he has on all his ensemble with a tie. Though we agree to a certain extent. That cannot be the full determinant of who a man of style is, tie or no tie, how the man combines, how fitted the ensemble is, the overall appearance must be main consideration. It's also not just about dressing western alone, it's also about wearing one's native attires and still looking great.

All of the times, we have encountered the Governor of Rivers, in the person of Rotimi Amaechi, he has always impressed us. And just like someone said sometime ago about style, it is about the totality of the package. Not just about one thing. Even his excellency's private jet (said to be owned by the Government of Rivers State) screams of class. Check out his excellency at the 40th birthday celebration of Julius Agwu. His whole ensemble spoke of class and panache, it's either he has style himself or his wardrobe manager knows his onions. White Shirt, atop a sparkling white trouser and the white Gucci belt with the gold buckle and a cream jacket and those funky red shoes were a stunner!

STYLE ACCORDING TO THE SUPER RICH....

Being rich or some would say wealthy affords one the grace to be eccentric. You dictate how, what, where, when and which way things go. One area we know a major percentage of the very liquid might not necessarily give a major damn about is fashion. 

A lot of the times, this very liquid fellows, seem to live in a world all their own. A lot of the times, whatever garb they have on might have cost an arm and a leg, but the style might just be from another planet entirely. 

But the truth is, like many have come to accept or should we say allow, ''when money talks bullshit walks'' . So who are the minions when the rich are doing their things.

Would the first part of the saying above ring true here? Let's try to find out.  Like we have come to know and accept, pin-stripped suits are said to be the king of business suits, many have come to see it worn by many top executives who command very influential positions, but from what we know it is strictly a business suit. That same style of suit seems to have become the favourite of some to weddings now.  But truly oooo, is it not men that devised the rules? If that be so, then rules like Anita Baker once sang '' are meant to be broken''.

Not just that, some just seem to have a ''bombastic style'' that's just all of theirs. They have evolved their own special way of dressing, that it has become their signature & if you see them dressed otherwise something terrible might have happened. BARACK & MICHELLE OBAMA- THE MOST STYLISH PRESIDENT & FIRST LADY IN A LONG WHILE?

 Do you all agree that the President of the United States of America, Mr. Barack Obama & his adorable sidekick, or better put wife are both said to be the most stylish couple in power in a very long time. We didn't come up with the title. Good old GQ, the award winning lifestyle magazine said it, but we seem to agree. Especially as it concerns Michelle. Have you all seen that red number by her favourite designer, Jason Wu that she wore for the inauguration ceremony? That is just one of the many winners that she had worn in the past years. The beauty of the dress is in its simplicity and the way it flows on the first lady. Simple & classy at the same time.

It's either madam first lady is a style guru by herself or a combination of her style and the choice of her stylist/designer(s), any which way it is. Michelle Obama is a winner any-day by many kilometers, or better put like some would say ''She's hot like FIRE!.
