Africa's best Tuface Idibia & others rocked the venue of the MTV Africa All Star's Concert in Durban, South Africa. For those who attended it was more than money's worth. All those who performed gave great accounts of themselves. Including international rapstar Snoop Lion.

The venue rocked to its foundation. The all stars concert had the likes of Professor, Snoop Lion, D Banj, K Switch, Zahara, Big Nuz, Cam Mulla, Zakes Bantwini, Flavour & Fally Ipupa on the line-up. The artistes were supported by 2 of Africa's best deejays-DJ Cleo & DJ Caise.

International award winning superstar, Dbanj gave fans an unforgettable experience at the first ever MTV Africa All Stars concert in Durban, South Africa.

Dbanj also performed his monster track, Endowed remix with international rap superstar, Snoop Lion as well as his new tracks like Top of the world, Cash Flow and Sister Caro with his brother and label mate, K-Switch.

The Nigerian entertainer who performed old hit tracks from his past award winning albums surprised fans when he stepped on stage wearing a different pair of Giuseppe Zannotti shoes on each foot.

The concert which was put together by MTV Base and Kwazulu-Natal Province featured top African acts like 2Face, Dbanj, Fally Ipupa, Flavour, Zakes Bantwini, Professor, Zahara, Big Nuz and Camp Mulla.

Top African DJ’s, DJ Caise and DJ Cleo were also on ground to keep music lovers dancing through the night with a wide selection of both local and international music.

What does Nigerian international pop giant D'Banj want for his birthday?

Well, find out on June 23, as the superstar entertainer shuts Lagos down with another five-star concert, featuring live appearances from some of the finest stars from the continent and beyond.

The MOBO and BET-winning hit-maker says he's throwing a big, spectacular gig, at Eko Hotel in Lagos, to launch the debut DKM album, and celebrate his recent achievements with friends and fans in Nigeria.

The hugely anticipated concert will coincide with D’Banj’s 33^rd birthday, and he told us over the weekend, that fans can expect to catch electrifying performances from him and his friends, including Fally Ipupa (DRC), 2face Idibia (Nigeria), 2Chainz (USA), Olamide (Nigeria) and other big names from here and abroad.

The big-budget concert will also feature DB Records acts KaySwitch, JSol, JSleek and others.

'It'll be my first time in Nigeria and I can't wait', 2Chainz says in a video drop released by D'Banj. 'My birthday is in September but I’ll act like it's my birthday', he adds jokingly. The rapper is mostly known worldwide for his mega hit 'Birthday Song'

The June 23rd concert, D'Banj says, will be the first in a series of DKM Concerts to be staged in collaboration with Ndani TV in Lagos and other parts.

‘We’ve done it all over the world, with the support of our fans everywhere’, the bestselling entertainer who performed with Snoop Lion at the MTV All Stars Concert in Durban over the weekend, says. ‘I know Nigerians have been yearning, and I can’t wait for June 23 to bring Lagos alive and treat my friends to all the new stuff we’ve been working on’.

The MTV Africa All Stars finale which held last weekend in Durban, South Africa will remain in the minds of many who witnessed the ground breaking event.

Multiple award winning international rapper, Snoop Lion formerly known as Snoop Dogg not only drove guests wild with pulsating performances of his past monster tracks, he performed the hit song, Endowed with Nigeria’s very own superstar, Dbanj.

Joining Dbanj in doing his signature dance, “The Koko Dance”, Snoop Lion and Dbanj kept fans screaming for more even after his performance. 

Highlights of the night also included the impressive entrance of Prince Zulu of South Africa unto the stage to meet Snoop Lion and the scintillating performance  of  Young, Wild and Free (Wiz Khalifa and Snoop Dogg) by all the performers of the night signifying  a firm stand against violence and the end to a very memorable night.

The MTV Africa All Stars concert was put together by MTV Base and Kwazulu-Natal Province and is the maiden edition of the annual project.

D’Banj (@iamdbanj) and Big Nuz (@BigNuz_Afro) are the latest urban megastars set to electrify music fans at MTV Africa All Stars KwaZulu-Natal with Snoop Lion.   The first ever MTV Africa All Stars concert, staged by MTV Base (DStv Channel 322) and KwaZulu-Natal Province, takes place at the Moses Mabhida Stadium (@MMStadium), People’s Park in Durban on 18th May 2013.

Charismatic Nigerian singer-songwriter, D’Banj has risen to stardom thanks to his innovative fusion of AfroBeat, AfroPop and AfroFusion sounds, delivered in a combination of Yoruba, English and Pidgin English.  The self-styled “koko master” and multi-platinum selling recording artist achieved global attention thanks to his 2012 smash-hit “Oliver Twist”, which sold more than 11 million copies worldwide and debuted at number 9 on the UK National charts just behind the likes of Rihanna and Tulisa.  Inspired and influenced by the late AfroBeat maestro Fela Anikulapo Kuti, D’Banj has won a host of awards including Best African Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2007, Artist of the Year at the MTV Africa Music Awards 2009, the BET Awards of 2011 for Best International Act and Best African Act at the 2012 MOBO Awards.

 Lagos| Nigeria, 30 April 2013: Fally Ipupa (@fallyipupa01) and Professor (@professorkalawa) are the latest stars to sign up for MTV Africa All Stars KwaZulu-Natal with Snoop Lion, the urban music extravaganza staged by MTV Base (DStv Channel 322) and KwaZulu-Natal Province in Durban.

MTV Africa All Stars KwaZulu-Natal is fast shaping up as the most exciting urban music event of the decade as Fally Ipupa and Professor join previously announced artists Snoop Lion (@SnoopLion), 2Face (@2faceidibia), Flavour (@2niteFlavour) and Zakes Bantwini (@ZakesBantwiniSA) on the bill for the concert.  

The event is being staged at the Moses Mabhida Stadium (@MMStadium), People’s Park, in Durban on 18 May.

Charismatic Congolese star Fally Ipupa, who first made a musical impact with hits like "Eternellement" and "Ko Ko Ko Ko" alongside veteran musician Koffi Olomide, is making a rare trip to South Africa for the All Stars gig.   Ipupa made his mark as a solo artist after the 2006 release of his debut album “Droit Chemin”. His 2009 album “Arsenal de Belles Mélodies” brought him to global attention; thanks to hits like "Chaise Electrique", a bilingual love song featuring former G-Unit vocalist Olivia.  Blending a silky smooth voice with a range of music genres from soukous to ndombolo, pop and R&B, Ipupa has won legions of fans and music industry accolades. In 2010 he took home two MTV Africa Music Awards, one for Best Video ("Sexy Dance" featuring Krys) and another for Best Francophone Artist.  Ipupa recently announced that he has been signed to Universal Music France for a 3-album deal – a significant endorsement for the DRC-based singer.

Well known for his jaw-dropping beats and catchy lyrics, Durban native and South African kwaito guru Professor hit the headlines with his first solo album “University of Kalawa Jazmee”, thanks to hypnotic hits such as “Jezebel”, “Lento” and “Jimaphi” which filled club dance-floors and dominated the radio airwaves across South Africa. Recognition of his talents came at the 2011 MTN South African Music Awards, where he won Best Kwaito Album, Best Male & Record of the Year, and Professor has since been making more waves thanks to the success of his second album, “Orientation”.

The hot trio of Naija DJs join 2face (@2faceidibia), Davido (@iam_Davido), Ice Prince (@Iceprincezamani), and Professor (@professorkalawa) at the all-star gig which will hold at The Marquee, Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos.
