You all already know that the This Day Style Editor, Ms. Ruth Osime clocked the big 5-0 last week Friday, February 7, 2014. And to celebrate her Jubilee year, she invited friends, family members, staff members and more to a classy shindig that held at the Red Carpet Hall, in Lekki Area on the Island. To have 3 sitting Governors of powerful states in Nigeria at your birthday is no joke at all, supported by at least 2 first ladies- Dame Abimbola Fashola & Mrs. Obioma Liyel Imoke of Cross Rivers.


To show that she's a jolly good 'fellow' or should we use 'chapess', people from all over came to celebrate our very dear own ''Anna Wintour''. Like we had said before or predicted before, it was a who-is-who gathering, made up of the young, the young at heart, and some not so young ones. 

Some of those that we saw at the party were the likes of Governors Babatunde Fashola of Lagos, Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers & Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta. Others were the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon. Chukwuemeka Ihedioha,  Senator Daisy Danjuma, the gorgeous mom of the birthday gal, her younger siblings Grace Osime & Omome, Ebony Life TV MD Mo Abudu, Sonnie & Betty Irabor, Esosa Anenih, Pastor Tony Rapu of TPH, Senator Florence Ita-Giwa, Willie & Nkiru Anumudu, Vivienne Chioloji, Akin Olopade of Afromedia, UBA director Celine Loader, Debbie Oghene, Kehinde Ebie, Nina & Muka, Segun Sebanjo, Ngozi Onu, Sonnie Ayere, Sola Oduwole, Gbemi Shasore, Mojoyin Dekalu-Thomas, Peter & Olu Adegbeyi, Femi & Aima Lijadu, Moji Akinsanya, Adeola Adewunmi, Yetunde Allen, Fola & Lanre Ogunlesi, Ndidi Obioha, Owen & Elohor Aisien, Hon. From the little report we got, it was a first class shindig all the way, so much to drink & munch, with good music blasting all the way, making many still believe they are still very young. So much fun was it that we had people were still there till the wee hours of the morning. It was also a fashion fest sort of for the ladies, all looking good for the red carpet, knowing fully well they would be photographed. Birthday darling had 2 changes of outfits, first was a white outfit & 2nd was a black one, we totally love her short hair do, took years away from her. The delighted one showed her dexterity on the dance floor in joy to the admiration of all. No matter how or what anyone thinks, as long as you are happy with yourself, no one can dampen your spirit. Way to go Ruth. Many more great years ahead.

BATTLE OF THE COVERS- IT'S ROTIMI AMAECHI VS. EMMANUEL UDUAGHAN

 Hmmmmmmmm!!!!! These 2 states Chief Executive officers seem to be hot, hot hot right now. Both are on the cover of the 2 different magazines looking cool. Both talking about their achievements and all. Incidentally both states are 2 of the richest states in the country by virtue of the fact that they are all producing states & are in the South-South. 

Both men are also in the same party, the PDP, though on different sides off the divide, while Uduaghan is seemingly in the good books of the presidency and is therefore having no problems whatsoever. Rotimi Amaechi on the other side seems to have become a torn in the flesh of the presidency. 

Both are on different covers, Amaechi covering Mode Men Magazine Power Issue & Uduaghan on the cover of BOSS Africa's new edition.

OIL RICH DELTA STATE COLLABORATES WITH BEST OF NOLLYWOOD AWARDS

 Nigeria's premier Movie awards, Best of Nollywood Awards would rock Asaba, the Delta State capital this year 2013. It would be one of the biggest gathering of the movers and shakers and shapers of Nollywood, which is second only after Bollywood in terms of production. We hear also that the Guinness Book of Records has certified the World's Longest Red Carpet event which the stars/ celebs etc would walk on at this year's event. 

This year's edition is the 5th in the series and it would be at a 5000 seater dome. The confirmation of the event venue is coming after months of discussions with top officials of the Delta State Government.

According to the Governor of the state, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, while signing a Memorandum Of Understanding to the effect on behalf of the State Government: "We are hosting this event for a lot of reasons. Nollywood and football come side by side in Nigeria when you talk about what sells us to the world, with Nollywood gradually overshadowing football, especially in African countries where our stars are hero worshiped.

 

"To us in Delta State, it is important we develop Nollywood, especially with the way filmmakers have gradually turned our state to the Hollywood of Nigeria. It is on record that an average of 300 films are shot yearly in Asaba because we have given the producers the right environment and also because our state is quite safe now after our heavy investment in our security operatives and security equipments."

 

The Executive Producer of the Awards, Mr. Seun Oloketuyi, had earlier disclosed that Asaba was chosen because it's not just the heartbeat of the Nation, but that of Nollywood. Producers not just love to shoot in Asaba, Oloketuyi said, the state is blessed with talented scripts interpreters in the mould of the legendary Richard Mofe Damijo, the late Enebeli Elebuwa, Fathia Balogun and Rachael Oniga to mention just a few.

Oloketuyi added: "Apart from the Awards, we will be setting a record for the longest Red Carpet in the world, a dream we have had since 2010 but could not happen then because of technical hitches. However, this time around, we are flying Adjudicators from the Guinness Book of World Records from the United Kingdom to ensure all goes well and the record is broken and so all that will attend will walk on the carpet.

"Overall, it will be a better Awards and Events managed by world class events managers and with world class standards in mind. Already, the first stage of the Awards has started with Nollywood filmmakers jostling to be part of the Awards as they have begun to submit their movies for the Awards. The entries for the Awards opened on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 and will close on Sunday, June 30, 2013.

THE KISS OF LIFE....UDUGHAN & WIFE

We particularly love this attempt at open affection between the first lady and her husband, His Excellency the Executive Governor of the oil rich State of Delta. They recently re-exchanged marital vows with each other and had to show to the world, what a loving couple they are. 

Hence, the kiss of life.........Don't we just love it...........

MISAN UDUAGHAN IS FAKE

 We have finally confirmed from Misan that she is fake. We first came across the fake when she supposedly gave an interview to a blog, where she had claimed she was the last born of the executive Governor of Delta State, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan. She had claimed she was 21 and that the Governor has 4 kids. We were quite surprised by this claims, because from all we know, the Governor only has 2 kids, his daughter Orode, who got married not too long ago and a younger son. 

So it got our curiosity and we wanted to know for certain, who Misan was. We think she used the trick because of her resemblance to the Governor. We got the entrepreneur she had lied to, to accuse her of being a fake and a fraud. Upon the accusation she confessed she lied to get the attention of the lady and that she was very sorry.  Find below the interview she had first granted to another blog, that raised our suspicions.  We didn't think the daughter of a sitting Governor, could be this foolish.   

Delta State Governor's Daughter Misan Uduaghan, Buys hundreds of No Glue Lace Wigs 

We caught up with the Delta state's daughter Misan Uduagan and interviewed her on her purchase of Real Hair No glue lace wigs.

Hello Misan, how did you hear about the Real Hair No glue lace wigs?

Two of my aunties always wears the hair, and I used to take it in turns to wear both of there's full lace wigs- it looked so nice, I had to buy my own... lol

What hair did you buy?

I bought quite a lot for me and my friends, I bought a mixture of Peruvian virgin hair, Mongolian virgin hair, and Malaysian virgin hair No glue in stock full lace wigs, custom front lace wigs, french lace and swiss lace, 24 inches 26, inches, bleach knots, double knots, and baby hairs. I'm so impressed with glueless lace wigs, the glueless cap is so tight on my head. The thick strap at the back of my head stays so strapped on my head, and it's so true, what it says on the website, the lace wig will not come off unless I take it off myself. I'm just amazed I did not have to use No glue, No tape, No adhesives. Just 3 combs and the tight strap does the FAB job!

Have you worn a lace wig before?

This is the first time of me wearing a lace front wig, I love it so much! I'm wearing the beyonce lace front wig, 26 inches, with a little highlights, I just love it, I can't wait to buy more... I like changing my hair styles all the time.

Does the girls in Delta state wear lace wigs?

Yes they do, but not the No glue lace wigs, so I guess you can say I am the first to introduce the No glue lace wigs to Delta state. Everybody loves my hair, where ever I go, I get so much "GREAT" attention- all my friends , can't believe it's a wig. They say it looks so natural, like my own hair. The french lace is fantastic, the bleach knots are brilliant and looks as though the hair is growing out of my scalp.

What's your favorite hair?

It's got to be the Peruvian and Malaysian hair. both qualities are soft, thick, a lot of body and volume of hair. I've had my hair for 7 months, there has been No tangles, No shedding, No knotting, Nothing bad... just perfect hair for the governors daughter.... (laughs)

Nigerian girls spend so much money on hair, so how much did you spend on the hair?

(Laughs) yes we Nigerian girls loves real human hair,  NO FAKE hair! I can't tell you how much I spent it's a secret... let's just say I bought the best quality lace wigs on EARTH.

WHO IS MISAN UDUAGHAN?

The  young lady with the picture above claims to be one of the daughters of Delta State Governor, his excellency Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan. She claims her name is Misan and that she's the youngest of his (4 kids) claiming to be 21. She recently called one of our advertisers with the claim and bought several hair extension which  she paid for. 

She later had an interview(though taken down now) on an online site where she claimed to be the first to wear the glue-less lace wig in Delta State and also said she bought several for herself & many friends.

We were wondering who this young lady might be, especially as we know only know of 2 of the Governor's kids, Orode who got married not too long ago and then a much younger brother. 

So who is Misan Uduaghan? She claims she's currently on holiday in Dubai, UAE.
