URU EKE ENDORSES HOUSE OF DORCAS's SPRING/SUMMER 2013 COLLECTION TAGGED 'Demure Indulgence'....

Some would call it a collabo made in heaven. Others would just refer to it as a perfectly symbiotic relationship between 2 great artists. On one side is the future acting great with the gorgeous body Uru Eke, and on the other side is the gloriously talented couturier of note, Lolade Majekodunmi of the House of Dorcas fame. Lolade obviously is the designer here, while Uru is her favourite muse.

 According to the fashion house,

Nollywood star, Uru Eke, is demure in the new collection for House of Dorcas (HoD), a label owned by famous designer, Mrs Ololade Majekodunmi. “Demure Indulgence” is fresh, chic and tasteful, with dresses exploring the other side of the conventional woman’s look. “We are ditching the trousers and shorts and running with the wind this summer in these cool colours. It’s all about ruffles and tassels”. This collection accentuates the feminine curves, giving any woman a stylish appearance. As the muse of the label, Uru brings her charm and sense of style to the collection. She’s beautiful, she’s classy, she’s demure…

No Iyanya please!” Tinsel’s Uru Eke answers ‘Ebuka’s 10 Questions’ on Rubbin' Minds Live

URU EKE & EBUKA OBI-UCHENDU
''No Iyanya please!” Tinsel’s Uru Eke answers ‘Ebuka’s 10 Questions’ on Rubbin' Minds Live

On the last episode of Rubbin’ Minds on Channels Television (21 January, 2013) host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu discussed the African Cup of Nations and The Future Awards National Enterprise Conference holding this Saturday, January 26.

But perhaps the highlight of the show was the interview with the next big thing on Nigeria’s acting scene – Tinsel’s Uru Eke. She has also been in Dark Side alongside leading man, Joseph Benjamin and Amina alongside Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde and others.

The actress who moved from the United States late last year spoke honestly about her career, the Nollywood tradition and then was refreshingly candid in answering the trivia!

Do you wish you were sometimes Tonto Dikeh?
No (Laughter).  I can’t deal with that much drama.

You’ve heard about the Tonto-Iyanya-Yvonne Nelson love drama. Would you fight for Iyanya?
Oh, no way. Because he is not my ‘spec’ (laughter).

Who is a better actress - Rita Dominic, Genevieve Nnaji or Nse Ikpe-Etim?
(Long laughter) No you can’t do that to me. None of the above… oh, sorry I mean all of the above. All of the above please!

Who will you take home: Dbanj, Jim Iyke, Iyanya or me?
You, of course. You should know that already. We are both Okija now!

Amala or Ugba?
Ugba definitely. But I can't make it. I didn't go with my mum into the kitchen when she was making it.

Which actor won't you be caught dead with?
Babasuwe. I feel he will make me look like an idiot!

What is your state of mind right now?
That you don't ask me another question I can't answer.

Did you see the recent Channels documentary on the Ikeja police college? What are your thoughts?
Sad. I felt ashamed. So ashamed. I could go on…

If you had to be born again, what country will it be?
America. I love the United States. I love the country. The spirit. The vibe. I'll be moving there at some point.

What other talent do you have, singing?

None. Maybe dancing. Yes, I'd like to dance for Psquare. That would be fun!

Rubbin’ Minds is a production of Y! TV and shows every Sunday at 3pm on Channels Television. For more information, visit @YNaijaTV on Twitter or www.ynaija.com/tv. The show’s hashtag is #RubbinMinds
