Just in case you are wondering what 'Bazaar De Marque' is, it's the new 5-star all purpose restaurant on the topmost floor inside the Mega Plaza, on Idowu Martins Street, Victoria Island, Lagos. It's just next to the rooftop lounge known to all as the The Marque. So what's so great about it, that sets it apart from all the regular restaurants that dots Lagos? Their distinguishing factor is in the fusion of the food that they serve. It's the only place presently, where you can have a 'fusion' of some of the very best cuisines from around the world. From the best of Indian to Chinese to Nigerian to Mexican etc. It is such an exotic mix that is best experienced than it been spoken about.
The ambience itself is so cosy and so welcoming, most likely one would forget oneself in the gorgeous environment. It is obvious that the sisters owners paid attention to the minutest details, everything is obviously arranged for comfort, before one is swept off one's feet by the super food package. And truth be told, they have got combos that would continually whet the appetite of those who appreciate good food, that is well-served and in the right environment.
We experienced a part of their magic and we can tell you for a fact, that it was an experience we have promised to have many times over. One of their specialties for now is their 'Brunch Package'. It is second to none. A mix of the best of the continental and the exotic dishes.
The place is owned and managed by 2 exquisitely gorgeous and fantastically stylish Canadian-Indian sisters, Jyoti & Kiran. Both are world travelers and have experienced cuisine from many parts of the world. Being born in Canada to Indian parents. While Kiran is the House Chef at Bazaar and is a self-taught food enthusiasts, the equally gorgeous sister Jyoti, who is a 'budding' photographer amongst several hobbies is more into management of the first class restaurant. Both combines their strengths to run the affair of the new 'in' restaurant.
Though there had been a soft opening previously on Valentine's Day, Thursday, February 14, 2013. The very grand opening was just about 2 weeks ago. At the tail end of the month of March 2013. And to attest to the fact that the restaurant is 5-stars the opening had the many who is who in attendance. We hear the good 'nibbles' that is served at the Marque now is done at the Bazaar.
