Last Sunday, May 25, 2014 at the Federal Palace Hotel, on Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos, one of Nigeria's brightest stars in the person of Chude Jideonwu launched his thought provoking and timely book titled- "ARE WE THE TURNING POINT GENERATION" How Africa's Youths can drive its urgent revolution; to a resounding applause.
It was a nice gathering at the event as many came to celebrate with the author, who is undoubtedly one of the shining lights of his generation in Nigeria. Apart from this new book by the fantastic writer, Chude is one of the brains behind the incomparable Future Awards- which is an annual award ceremony that recognises and gives awards to youths between the ages of 18 & 31, who have had outstanding achievements(s) in the year under review. The awards ceremony has already seen many very successful seasons. Chude is also one of the great minds behind the highly successful Y!Naija publication, while he is the executive partner in charge of Red Media, one of the fastest growing media content and communications outfit in the country.
Some of those we saw at the occasion were the likes of Funmi Iyanda, Femi Falana SAN, Pat Utomi, Hon. Abike Dabiri Erewa, Omoni Oboli, Monalisa Chinda, Latasha Ngwube, Noble Igwe, Mo Abudu, Ebuka Obi Uchendo, Toke Makinwa, Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi, Yvonne 'Vixen' Ekwerre, Eryca Freemantle, Jimi Agbaje, Toni Kan, Alibaba, Julius Agwu, Linda Ikeji, Rasheed Gbadamosi, Kemi Ashefon, Ice Prince Zamani, Vector, Denrele Edun, Lepacious Bose, Adaura Achumba, Timi Dakolo, Obi Ezekwesili and many others.
One of the highlights of the evening event was the lighting of the candle for the abducted girls of Chibok and others whose lights in one way or the other have been dimmed. Check out the pictures of the event below.

Very nice photo'S
Great turn out. Wouldn't expect any less from/for Chude though.
Latasha is working that turban! ♡ it. Ebuka, always handsome. Is Linda Ikeji pregnant? The signs are there, full face & glow. Congrats girlie. Gbemi OO is not playing with FitFam, so svelte! Wished her hair was shorter too. I see Adebola in politics soon.
Got my copy, can't wait to settle in & read it.
You dress up nicely and then you spoil it with your pair of shoes. The bane of some women. Even Mo's shoes don't fit her dress.
Yes, the turban is a hit. I guess Gbemi wanted volume with that length. A shorter length would have been a crop (pixie) and may not fit the structure of her face.
Toke's dress is nice. Put her next to Mona Lisa and they are like light bulbs!
Mr and Mrs Rasheed Gbadamosi, cute Mama and Papa.
Ebuka sure knows how to work it.
Linda, frumpy as ever. With her "unsure" look. Pregnant? Maybe she lost it or something else, who knows.
whats Linda wearing biko nu?
waoh I love that dress on Mo minus the shoes
RAG & TAG - couple for life
Hon Abike - nice shape
