In the spirit of the season, popular theatre show, Open-Mic theatre opens the month of February with an explosive fourth edition. Following the success of previous editions, the theme for this edition is PASSION. Performers on the show would be performing monologues and dramatic pieces.
“We are excited that our fourth edition is holding in the Valentine season,” says organizer and actress Kemi Akindoju. “The choice of passion is a deliberate one and we are expectant at the depth of artistry our performers will bring to the table. Fans and enthusiasts of Open Mic Theatre are promised the time of their lives with the exceptional performances in store from these talented artistes.”
Established to serve as a tool for reviving the declining theatre culture in Nigeria, Open Mic Theatre is championing a conducive environment where actors can hone their skills and improve on their craft. It also provides the needed platform for talented performers to be discovered. Writers, directors, filmmakers, and producers are also given the required platform to improve upon their artistry with the Open Mic Theatre.
