Our former 3 times Head of State/President & founder of the Olusegun Obasanjo Foundation, Chief Olusegun Aremu Okikiola Obasanjo was recently in the UK for many varied appointments & meetings. One of the events he was part of, was as a panel at the 6th White & Case Autumn Conference series titled ''Financing Africa : The impact of natural resources discoveries'', where he chaired the panel with Cherie Blair, CBE, QC, the wife of the former Prime Minister of United Kingdom in the person of Mr, Tony Blair. Others on the panel were Tsatsu Tsikata, who is the former CEO of Ghana National Petroleum Corporation, Helmut Engelbrecht, Standard Bank's Head of Corporate & Investment Banking for Africa, Rebecca Campbell & Jason Kerr, who are both partners at White & Case.
The panel reviewed infrastructure development in the context of the tremendous growth seen in the mining sectors of many African nations. The contributions from the panel and the proceedings from the conference would be made available on the White & Case website.
Afterwards, the former President held an impromptu meeting at the HQ of the Olusegun Obasanjo Foundation (OOF) in Grosvenor Gardens, London to discuss the Foundation's operations in the last few weeks as well as scheduling new programs and events in support of the foundation's initiatives in 2014.
Later on in the evening of the same day, Chief Obasanjo was hosted by the former Prime Minister, Mr. Tony Blair for tea at his London residence. OBJ returned to Nigeria the next day.

I get really annoyed when i see OBJ because he was the biggest disappointment in the history of Nigeria. He could have made such a huge difference given the opportunity he had. But for his greed. Nonsense
OBJ.... If baba have plan this great nation very well you could have be most relevant public officer holder in nigeria.
Aloba; Our former 3 times Head of State/President? When please?
Compared to his successors, OBJ is like light. The North respects him and he's tough. Where he went wrong IMO is in his seletion of UMY and GEJ. He may have done it intentionally so we can all say he's better than them. He's that deft.
You must be very young and not old enough to have witnessed all he did during his first term in the seventies. Most of the infrastructures we have now was built by Baba Iyabo.
