Those that attended this edition of the ButterScotch Evenings which featured the great Teddy Riley as the headliner have continually attested to the fact that it was one event they wouldn't forget for a long-while.
Just like the organizers had hyped it, it was truly gin & tonic, sugar & spice, rhythm & blues, butter and scotch event. We think they should have added Champagne & caviar. The 5-course meal, by the renowned international chef Alan Coxon was excellent, the entertainment provided was 5-star. The fashion by the stars, celebrities and guests was upscale. The mix was excellent and therefore all in all, the event was value for money.
Teddy Riley, the consummate artiste that he is, gave a great account of himself with his group the BlackStreet. Old reliable Sir Shina Peters of the Afro-Juju fame is still a super star any day, any time and is one performer of note, that would still give all the young stars a run for their money whenever called upon. All the other artistes the likes of Tiwa Savage, Chidinma & the fantastic CEO Dancers, all gave very good accounts of themselves too, confirming why there's so much hype about all of them..
The venue as usual was inside the conference center of the Eko Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. Some of those we caught a glimpse of were Ruth Osime & Grace Osime, Vivienne Chiloji, Ify Orji, Nkiru Anumudu, Sasha Alabi & a host of others. As she's known to do, Nkiru Anumudu fashionista generalissimo, showed why she's always the cynosure of all eyes at most event, she came decked out in a creation from the Gucci Spring 2013 collection, carrying her Judith Leiber ''carousel'' clutch from fall 2013 collection and she finished it off wearing those hot pair of rose pink Gucci sandal from the Gucci Spring 2013 collection. .
We got a few pictures of the event for your viewing pleasure. Check 'em out.

The ladies camel toe is obscene smfh! The other ladies wearing the shoes with huge double soles are lost in fashion, no one should wear such shoes under any circumstance!
The big girls have tried in their dresses, suits them well. All in all Nigerian ladies have not yet mastered the ultimate red carpet look... Simplicity is key!
Trashy, just a few pulled it off.
