LOTTERY WAR OF THE UNKINDEST TYPE. BURUJI KASHAMU VS. KESSINGTON ADEBUTU. WESTERN LOTTO VS. PREMIER LOTTO

Adebutu vs. Kashamu

We all know this 2 men. Chief Kessington Adebutu needs no introduction whatsoever. But just for the sake of it let's do something like a little intro. He is the man referred to as the "Nigerian undisputed king of lotto" and a super great and highly celebrated philanthropist. Everything that has to do with lottery/betting revolves around him. His name is in fact synonymous with it, in a way he made it popular and showed to Nigerians one could be a billionaire from it. He and his late friend, Chief Solomon "gbengbeleku" Ayoku were the colossus of betting and all. And Baba Ijebu as he is fondly known, a name also synonymous with his brand, has kept the flag flying, even after the demise of his friend who was a colossus in Casino business. He owns Premier Lottery, which has been in business for so long. The Odole of Ife, is the father of Honorable Ladi Adebutu, who is a politician and the other Governorship aspirant of the PDP in their ill fated desire to wrest power from the ruling APC recently. While his son Ladi is a politician and used to be an Honorable member of the Federal House of Representatives, his dad who is in his 80s, has never being a politician.

Chief Buruji Kashamu on the other hand a well known politician and a leader of the PDP in Ogun State. He is in fact the controversial high spending moneybag businessman and politician from Ogun State. He is the owner of the Best Western Hotel opposite the Bar Beach, Victoria Island, which is just one of the businesses he is known for. He had a long running court case at a point, when the US Government wanted to extradite him to face allegations of drug running in America, an allegation he has denied and continues to deny fervently and with vigor. He was a distinguished Senator of  the Federal Republic at a point. He fought his own party to a standstill to be the PDP Gubernatorial candidate of his party at the last election, his unrelenting rival was none other than Hon. Ladi Adebutu, who had emerged as . Both see each other as straightforward, uncompromising bitter enemies, who would go to any length to do away with each other. Chief Buruji Kashamu is the owner and promoter of Western Lotto.

Ladi like we have already said above, is an unflinching and bitter rival and enemy of Buruji. And Ladi is the 1st son & eldest child of the owner of Premier Lotto, Chief Kessington Adebutu. Premier Lotto and Western Lotto are competitors, in fact major rivals. Premier Lotto controls the turf, at least a large percentage of it, because of maybe length of time in existence. Western Lotto being a rival and competitor would love to have one over an enemy. So like they say, all is fair in war.

Since the owners of the brands are bitter rivals somewhat, then their companies or brands doing the same business are also likely hit heads also0 be bitter rivals and enemies too and that has been seen to be the case now, with what is presently unfolding into a war of damn all consequences and bring your rival down at all cost by Western Lotto against Premier Lotto. Maybe to get to Ladi, Buruji is willing to take down the business that brings in the milk that feeds the family in the most legal war possible, most especially if there's a chink to exploit.

Hence, Senator Buruji Kashamu justifiably through his Western Lotto brand, became a whistle blower to the Nigerian anti graft body the EFCC, in a strongly worded petition alleging 'economic sabotage and multi-billion Naira tax fraud' to the tune of as much as N5billion. And hence the investigation began and even gentleman Segun Adebutu, one of the sons of the Great man, has been invited for questioning.

So last year December of 2019, Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke of the Federal High Court in Lagos had granted Western Lotto Ltd an Anton Piller order (a court order which requires the defendant in proceedings to permit the plaintiff or his or her legal representatives to enter the defendant's premises in order to obtain evidence essential to the plaintiff's case) authorizing it to search 23 firms involved in the Lotto business, for evidence of violation of its Ghana Games patents infringement, which they Western Lotto had exclusive rights to.

The Ghana Games are alleged to be responsible for about 60/70 percent of the revenue generated from lottery games in Nigeria.

The reports had said that the Ghana National Lottery Authority (NLA) had granted Western Lotto Nigeria Limited the “exclusive rights” in an agreement recently executed by both parties.

The Ghana products, includes the following Monday Special Lotto, Lucky Tuesday Lotto, Midweek Lotto, Fortune Lotto, Friday Bonanza Lotto, Saturday National Lotto, VAG Lotto and super six Lotto) both in stores and in all promotional activities.

Western Lotto’s right also include “the exclusive right to use the draw numbers of the Ghana National Lottery Authority (NLA) to sell and distribute lotto products and games to customers located in the Federal Republic of Nigeria”.

The first and second defendants in the suit, marked FHC/L/CS/2321/19, are the National Lottery Regulatory Commission and Registrar of Trademarks.

And then there 23 others which includes Premier Lotto Ltd and even K.C Gaming Networks Ltd who are the parent company of Bet9ja, so in actual fact, Western Lotto is actual fighting the biggest names in the business, in fact a consortium if one can put it like that.

The given court order also affects “each and every point of sale stations and agency operated by all the brands offering lottery products.”

Justice Aneke also went further to  appoint the third to 25th defendants to represent “the class of persons passing off their lotto products by using trade names and trade marks that are associated with the ‘Ghana Games’…and or who illegally sell ‘Ghana Games’ lotto products in Nigeria by using the draw of the numbers of the Ghana NLA to sell and distribute lotto games to customers in Nigeria.”

So it's a long drawn battle ahead and big money, in fact very big money would most definitely exchange hands.

ACCESS BANK REFUTES GMD'S ARREST CLAIM THAT HAD GAINED TRACTION.

Much as the news had gone near viral about the arrest of the hardworking Herbert Wigwe who is the GMD of Nigeria's current biggest financial institution after it had merged with Diamond Bank to now become a banking powerhouse now known as Access Bank Plc, the bank has had come out to vehemently refute the claim of arrest, that it is very very far from the truth.

All of last week and even till this weekend, the news has gone about that the EFCC had arrested Herbert Wigwe. Much as we had tried to get clarification from the right quarters about the supposed arrest, the bank had only subtly said the arrest claim was not entirely true, but even with that, the story had refused to go to sleep, not until the bank had to now officially send out a statement, especially to the Nigerian Stock Exchange to powerfully refute the claim.

See the official statement above signed by the bank's Company Secretary, Sunday Ekwochi.

See the statement sent to the NSE here -

Our attention has been drawn to a trending report on social media regarding the alleged arrest of Mr. Herbert Wigwe, the Group Managing Director of Access Bank Plc (Access Bank) by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (“the Commission”).

We wish to state that the issue essentially relates to the credit facilities that were availed Slok Nigeria Limited (“Slok”) by the defunct Diamond Bank plc (“Diamond”) and which were secured by Slok’s assets charged to Diamond. Access Bank had inherited the Slok credit following the recent merger of Diamond with Access Bank.

Given the differing interest of the Commission and the Bank on the assets of Slok deriving from the court’s recent judgment on Slok, the Commission had invited for interrogation officials of Access Bank who were handling the Bank’s recovery efforts on Slok credit including its Group Managing Director.

Following fruitful engagement between the Bank and the Commission, we are of the opinion that the issues relating to Slok investigation have been resolved.

As an institution built on best practice, we wish to assure our esteemed stakeholders that the Bank will continue to conduct its business in line with extant laws and relations

THE MOMPHA SAGA CONTINUES AS FOREIGN COLLABORATOR-HAMZA IS NABBED!

Hamza Koudeih

Ismaila Mustapha aka MOMPHA

That Mompha the highly celebrated Internet or better still social media celebrity with the awesome and enviable lifestyle was arrested or better still caught, is now history. What is the very latest in the installment in the edition or series that concerns him now, is that one of his so called accomplices or better still collaborators or co-star (actor) in his drama series has also now being nabbed too.

So like we have rightly said above in the title of this write-up, Mompha's still unfolding saga continues dramatically, and from the vibes we are getting, it seems like the loose noose or lasso on his neck as placed there by the anti-graft body in collaboration with the Interpol, is gradually tightening more and more daily and those many birds that surrounds him, still fluttering around and gliding through the air with utter abandon, like they actually own the world, same way 'Tony Montana erroneously thought the world was his or in his palm, like in that classic 'Scarface movie', might soon still  be caught or caged, as the days goes by.

Like we had said before, the super generous 'Mr. Nouveau rich', little known to the world as 'Ismaila Mustapha' but better known to most as the highly celebrated Mompha, has since adopted singing, in the mold of a K1 the Ultimate/Sir Shina Peters, as a highly dexterous one man band Canary or a hybrid Nightingale, singing as an avowed multi-instrumentalist also as his new hobby. The guy's memory from what we hear seems perfectly intact, with a great ability to recall instances, places, people and occasions.

Only just yesterday, it seems like one of his formerly invisible band members, an important international collaborator, in the person of a so called Lebanese businessman by name Hamza Koudeih was discovered and has been brought into the open to come explain his own part in their many business collaborations/transactions. Hamza would have to help explain to the anti-graft body how he and his band mate(s) were able secure transactions valued at just about 33 billion Naira only.

The wily Hamza was arrested at his $5million valued luxury apartment at the Eko Pearl Towers, Victoria Island address. From what we heard, it wasn't easy at all to penetrate this highly secured/fortified, super luxurious apartment, located at the Eko Atlantic City, the planned super luxurious enclave of the super wealthy that would have no rival in Nigeria, being packaged by the Chagourys. The apartment boasts of the best in security appliances like CCTV and more.  We once had a tour of the place more than a year ago and we can readily attest to the beauty and secure nature of the Eko Pearl Tower, the view alone from the rooms, is breathtaking!

It took the EFCC men more than 3-hours to gain entrance into Hamza's apartment as he and his wife and other occupants had refused to open the door. The door had to be broken down for them to have access to the apartment. When the EFCC officials finally entered the apartment, they found the wife, who claimed that her husband had escaped from the apartment through the window. But he couldn't have as they lived on one of the topmost floors of the 33 storey building. So to have escaped from such a height, would have been suicidal. It was only after a thorough search, that Hamza was found hiding in the ceiling of his room, cowering like a trapped mouse. The officials had noticed that a part of the ceiling in his room was suspiciously sealed. Apparently the 3 hours stand off was used to try to either escape or hide. Most likely also the time would have been used by the husband and wife duo to either hide or throw away some incriminating evidences too.

The search of the apartment by the anti-graft personnel, discovered a fireproof safe which had many charms and talisman inside, which Hamza claimed were his 'prayer objects'. See the picture above.

According to the investigations by the EFCC, it has been discovered that Mompha and his pal, Hamza are highly valued targets of the OCSN which is the Organized Cyber Syndicate Network. Between the 2 of them alone, they have used 3 firms, namely Ismalob Global Investments Ltd owned by Mompha and Hamza's 2 companies namely THK Services Ltd & CHK Properties Ltd via which they laundered N14 & N19 billion Naira respectivel, totalling N33 billion all together.

It has also been discovered that Mompha alone operates 51 bank accounts in Nigeria alone via which he does his money laundering runs. He apparently undervalued the cost of the 5 watches seized from him at his arrest, which he claimed were about N20m, but has since being discovered to be more like N60m. Like we had written in one of our earlier reports, these 5 seized are some of the cheapest in his collection. He has about 3 not part of the ones seized whose value can never be less than $600,000 dollars that's atleast N200m Naira, his 2 Richard Milles alone that's the Yohan Blake & Felipe Massa are about $400,000 dollars. See the picture below, the one on the left alone is limited to only 100. Imagine that Mompha and wife have a his and hers of such a watch. And that's not the only his and hers they own. Forget about the Rolexes that he, his wife and their children all have. The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Skeleton double balance wheel below could go for between $100,000 to about $250,000 depending. Even his son owns a made to size AP Royal Oak. So his watch collection could be worth not less than $2 million dollars alone.

From our own underground investigation, Mompha's rise to stardom or fame couldn't have begun further than 2015. According to the underground gist, his well known 'designer loving friend' who was actually 'deported' or had relocated from Malay like they call Malaysia was the one who did the connect. It was this friend, who introduced him to what is now called the G business or that helped to make him a G-boy. He being a Bureau de Change owner, a business he had inherited from his late dad and was running at his pace, was the perfect cover. Apparently he fell in love with the quick, supposedly good money and the rest is now history.

According to the gist, even as his now estranged friend is a lot louder than him, Mompha is supposedly more well to do (richer) than the one that introduced him to the job. According to those who might know, HP the former friend of Mompha might all be more clothes and mouth, than substance-Mompha.

EFCC CONFIRMS THE ARREST OF MOMPHA, PROBABLY AFRICA'S WEALTHIEST DUDE IN DUBAI

Mompha with EFCC

Mercedes G wagon

Rolls Royce

Orange McLaren

Yellow Ferrari 488 Spider

Rolls Royce Wraith Eagle VIII

The 3 watches here are close to $2,000,000

The EFCC, Nigeria's foremost anti-graft organization have finally confirmed that the Nigerian but Dubai based big boy and social media sensation, Ismaila Mustapha aka Mompha is in their custody. With that confirmation, it lays to rest the thought that the arrest was affected by Interpol.

Speculations had been rife in the wake of the dude's arrest that he was in the custody of Interpol, which they later debunked. But the EFCC have now confirmed that the rich dude's eventual arrest was facilitated by the collaboration of the 2 organizations (EFCC & Interpol.

Mompha had apparently been under watch for a while and maybe he got an inkling, he could be arrested in Dubai, so he escaped somewhat to Abuja, Nigeria. Where he was apparently traced. He had landed in Abuja, Nigeria and showed off on ig in one of his last posts as having arrived or landed safely in the Federal Capital as sky lord. He was allowed to do whatever it was he wanted to do in the town, it was afterwards when he was on the plane to fly away back to Dubai that he was then arrested. And he has been in incarceration since then.

On him at the time of his arrest were about 5 very expensive watches with a conservative estimate of about 20 Million Naira and it could be far more than that. There was a Rolex Oyster Perpetual in stainless steel and gold, same type as owned by his kids too, and then at least about 2 Audemars Piguet Royal Oaks, one of which was all gold and 2 other watches. Though the EFCC have not been too forthcoming as per the reason or reasons for his arrest, they were not shy to allege that it was not unconnected to graft. Some have even speculated though that it might have been connected to a fraud of about $5million dollars (not confirmed).

One of the major reasons why Mompha might have come on the radar of the international police and even the EFCC might have been because of his super extravagant lifestyle. You claim to own a bureau de change, but the kind of money you flaunt on thr social media is so extraordinary, that it couldn't have been just a BDC business that could have brought such kind of money in. At least in this dude's garage right now are about 5 cars said to be worth in excess of ($1,763, 326 million dollars alone), that's about at least (N634,797,360 million NAIRA), that's very close to a billion Naira. And that's for just 5 cars alone. Those cars includes a $450,000 valued Rolls Royce Wraith Eagle VIII, one of the only 50 of such a car that would ever be available in the world. It is claimed that he is the first and only African yet, to have bought one that alone at N180m. Then there's the Lamborghini Aventador, not to talk of the Ferrari, McLaren and other humongous cars.

Just imagine that the boastful dude had alleged owing at least 50 of such state of the art cars which would have meant the value of his cars alone, would have been in the excess of N5 billion Naira. If just one man can own cars, worth about 5 billion Naira or more, then just imagine the value of his very many wrist-watches 5 of only which were valued at more than N20M Naira only. His collection of Richard Mille alone cannot be less than $1.5m dollars, when one of his favorite alone that's the 'Richard Mille Yohan Blake 59-01 Tourbillon' cost just $620,000 that's just about N223,200,000 and it could be more, especially if its the one that which has only 50 of it made in the world. So his 2 Richard Mille watches alone is about N500 million Naira.

Mompha is so staggeringly wealthy that even his kids have their own Rolexes and AP's made to size. What this stupendous wealth actually points to is that maybe Mompha is the nos 1 BDC owner in the whole of the emirate, maybe the preferred one for even the Emirati most elite too. A conservative estimate of Mompha's wealth would say he could be worth from between $50 to $150million dollars.

From what the EFCC have now alleged, Mompha apparently wasn't just operating a BDC in Dubai and wherever he might have his branches, he was actually just using the BDC as a cover to do far more clandestine but shady shit. So now that he has been arrested, we hear he is already being very cooperative.

MOMPHA PICKED UP (ARRESTED) IN ABUJA. HUSH-PUPPI & WOODY TRYING TO GO INCOGNITO TO AVOID SAME FATE!

For any to say they don't know or have not in one way or the other come across the 3 names above very very well in the last 2 to 3 years would mean that such a person claiming such ignorance is probably from Mars, Mercury, Saturn or Pluto. Even at that, such inhabitants of those far away planets cannot deny not knowing those three names. These 3 are just a few of the so called super rich young men, some call them billionaires that came into our consciousness like a bolt out of the blue all in the space of the last 5 years.

These young men came in and made the old filthy rich guys/men look like they only had peanuts and are probably peasants. They flaunted their "wealth" with abandon in the faces of people like they didn't give a care in the whole world. In fact even songs or lyrics in their support came pouring out like the very lives of the singers/musicians, depended on it. Remember such lyrics like "if you no get money, hide your face". And others like it. These guys and so many others like them, became icons to many youths, many who didn't care that their new heroes seem not to have any pedigree or backgrounds or history whatsoever, for those youths their new motto became, 'make money at all cost, no matter what'. So whether the money is from organ harvest, yahoo-yahoo, yahoo plus, it doesn't matter as long as money has come.

You see extreme, extraordinary, totally vulgar and extravagant display of crazy amount of cash in foreign currencies; display of  monsters on wheels-likes of the very latest Ferraris, Rolls Royce, Lamborghinis, Bentleys etc just name it; buying of designer garbs of all kinds (extreme daily shopping that baffles understanding, like the money is limitless; travels in first class or private jets to exotic places in Dubai, Singapore, Malaysia, Greece, Paris and Co; outrageous display of wealth at some of the best hotels and lounges possible, such as the 7-star Burj al Arab& other similar places like it.

When many of these guys whose vocations one couldn't readily ascertain or point to came into this wealth, what they came into must have been humongous ooooo. It was like they even owned the banks in those places, that they became like lords. Their parties were so extravagant, that even those whose wealth were somewhat certified couldn't dare compete with them. We can remember very well an out of this world party about a year or more ago. Where the kind of cars in thr entourage of the couple marrying has never been so vulgar like that before. Close to 40 states of the art cars one after the other and the couple in a spanking Rolls Royce. The money sprayed at that party on that day couldn't have been less than 100million Naira. The party even had strippers or go go dancers entertaining naked.

People like Mompha and Hush-puppi also known as 'Igbalode', Self-Paid and the likes became the new lords of the manor. But just like they came like bolts out of the blue, it seems like the chicken might have suddenly come home to roost now. Self-Paid now in Ghana, like several of them have ran away or gone underground to avoid the law. The fear of the EFCC now has become the beginning of wisdom. Have we now not seen the reduction in the outrageous and vulgar display of wealth on the streets, like it was 2 years ago? Most night clubs that just sprang up anyhow then, are shutting down for lack of patronage. Those that are still around are more careful now so as not to draw unnecessary attention their way.

So on Thursday, October 17,2019 in Abuja, the FCT to be more precise, after Mompha had arrived Abuja and had had his fun and was about going back to wherever he was on his back way to, the long arm of the law crept and clamped on him to arrest him or invite him for questioning! He was already on the plane luxuriating, waiting for the flight to go, when the 'men in black' came for him. People are still speculating on whether it's the EFCC or Interpol, that clamped him. And since that day, he has remained incognito or best incommunicado. With people speculating on whether he is in Abuja or now flown to Lagos, but those who feels they know are picking Lagos to be the most likely spot he would be. From what we hear, the usually boastful and generous Mompha is most likely already singing like a well fed Nightingale. According to this folks thdy believe very well he would have since become a one man band, singing bass, treble and soprano, and playing all of the instruments available all by himself, whilst playing the lead and then the supports too.

So are speculating that this might actually be the beginning of the end. Just imagine that this is actually his 2nd arrest in the space of 2 months! If he was actually smart, why didn't he just go underground for a while?

Who in fact is Mompha the big boy? According to those that might know a thing or two about him, he is the son of the owner of the biggest bureau de change in Ikoyi before. He is about 30 plus years old and he cut his teeth under his father before branching out on his own to do the same business too, albeit in Dubai. So is it the bureau de change business, where you make between 1 & 3 dollars per a certain amount, that has made him so filthy rich like this, to the extent that he became a Father Xmas of extraordinary proportion? Most definitely not. Apparently he was introduced into another money spinning business maybe real estate business or fashion or lifestyle influencing by his former friend now turned enemy, Hush-Puppi a while back and the rest like they say has since become history.

Since his 'arrest', unconfirmed gist says that Hush and Woody might have somewhat gone underground, that's because of its Interpol like some have speculated then yawa don gas be that. But we would try to confirm that though. Hush like you all already know is the well known self-styled 'Gucci billionaire', who has bestrode Dubai like a colossus since he got there about 2 years now. He and Mompha were 2 & 3 before they fell out publicly and then took each other to the cleaners thereafter.

Woody on his own is said to be Hush-Puppi's man Friday. The dude that picks up all his bills every where they go. Once Hush snaps his finger, Woody makes magic happen immediately (Woody is Hush puppy bill payer).

Would Mompha open up and point finger? That's the question on many mouths right now. We believe that soon, we might begin to see the effect of this big arrest or invitation around soon. Remember very well that not too soon after the arrest and expose on Invictus the Forbes rated billionaire, an FBI dragnet swept out many from their hide outs across the world.

One thing we know for sure though is, it's nearly going to be impossible for Hushpuppi to step foot into Nigeria for a long time to come.

TIMI FRANK CALLS THE BLUFF OF THE VP & LAWYERS. INSISTING THE VP HAS A CASE TO ANSWER

Comrade Timi Frank

The saga between Vice-president of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo & one of his accusers, former Deputy Publicity Secretary of the APC, Comrade Timi Frank has not ended like many had thought it would happen. After the apology and retraction from the Vanguard which had earlier carried the accusations by Timi Frank that the VP had something to do with N90b which was despatched in very funny circumstances, many had thought Timi Frank would have gone scared to hide in his anonymous cocoon.

But alas no, that hasn't been the case. It seems like the threat of a robust litigation from the chambers of Femi Falana, SAN on behalf of the pastor turned politician VP of the country now hanging on his head has even given him more impetus, as he has now gone out more on the mountain top to shout out for all who cares to hear that the vice president should rather leave Vanguard alone and face him squarely to sue him instead.

Hear what Timi has to say,  N90bn scandal: Stop threatening media Houses, sue me, Frank tells Osinbajo
...Urges DSS, EFCC, others to investigate his allegation
...Urges VP to resign.

A political activist and former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Comrade Timi Frank, has challenged Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to sue him instead of threatening Media Houses over his latest revelation of N90 billion used for the last general elections.

Frank said he was anxiously waiting to receive court summons from the Vice President, assuring that such move will afford Nigerians and the international community opportunity to hear more about the activities of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) pastor (Osinbajo).

He also asked Osinbajo to resign  as VP, to give room for thorough investigation and unbiased prosecution in court, saying "this is important so as not to influence the judiciary as well as use public funds to pursue the case as a sitting Vice President."

The political activist had revealed how the VP allegedly collected about N90 billion from the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) to fund the last presidential election.

Responding through a statement to a letter Osinbajo sent through his lawyer, Femi Falana to Vanguard Newspapers for a retraction, Frank said he is rather expecting the VP to sue him instead of threatening the media house for keeping the general public informed.

"I understand Prof. Osinbajo, through Femi Falana has written Vanguard Newspaper, demanding for a retraction. It is a move to silence the media and those of us speaking for Nigerians. I challenge Osinbajo to sue me and not Vanguard Newspaper. I'm prepared to meet him in court whenever he is ready to do so.

"The VP should know that I can not be intimidated by his threat. We shall meet in court
"The VP is trying to intimidate everyone including the media but he has forgotten how he accused others like former President Goodluck Jonathan and former Senate President Bukola Saraki without any evidence," Frank stated.
While urging Vanguard and other newspapers to stand firm, Frank called on the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Director of the State Security Service (DSS), Independent Corrupt Practices Offences Commission (ICPC) to investigate his claims objectively.

"Osinbajo is trying to use his position as Vice President to intimidate me and especially the Vanguard Newspaper but he won't succeed.

"I have also spoken with Femi Falana, the VP's lawyer who has confirmed that he has a letter from the Vice President for me but I'm yet to receive the letter," he stated.

Frank also challenged the EFCC to quickly release the reports of its earlier investigation of the activities of the Federal Inland Revenue Services (FIRS) under the current leadership.

WHERE DEM BOYS AT? SEEMS LIKE ALL THOSE SPENDERS HAVE GONE UNDER THE RADAR NOW!!!!

The beginning of the Police and EFCC is most obviously the beginning of wisdom now for all them boys who used to engage very much in "laulau" like they call it all of a few months ago.

It's like the minute the Police and EFCC went on rampage and started going to the clubs, lounges and joints to go arrest all of these young, highly impressionable loud spenders (by the way that's what is referred to as laulau), whose way of life, was to hit the dough (money) and then begin to show it off without a care, driving some of the biggest and latest machines in town, wearing and garbing in some of the best brands that money could afford, going to clubs with some of the most gorgeous and sexily garbed damsels that any can imagine or even lay their eyes on, spending money like drunk sailors, in such ways and manner like money was just about going out of fashion, so it should be spent like a waterfall.

All of the lavish, an extraordinarily vulgar open display of wealth seems to have subsided for a bit now, since the Police and EFCC focused attention on the more popular ones. Now it's more like they all have gone totally under the radar. We can even tell you first hand right now that the night club owners et al are all complaining of low patronage, those silly spending where boys would be competing with each other to see who can spend the most per night at a joint, which the club owners loved seems to have stopped. Imagine a bill of between 9 and 11 million by just one person on just a (1) night of revelry alone!!! So just imagine that on a good night of fun, a club/joint/lounge  could clock between 50 to 100 million Naira at the height of the debauchery and ostentatious display of wealth!!!

What that just says is that in just a weekend alone, a club might make between 50 to 150 million from these uncontrollable revellers and if you do a plus and minus in just a month, that's like carting home between 100 to 500 million a month. So the club owners were just smiling home to the banks anyhow, while the father xmases were trying to outdo each other, the joint owners were just praying that it should never end. But the minute the scrutiny began, everything nosedived drastically and they are now complaining bitterly in fact cursing the Police and EFCC men.

So where Abolo and Co? Have they all relocated to Ghana etc like it's been speculated?

EFCC TO OTHER SECURITY AGENCIES-KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN FOR PETER THE ROCK!

Since that election lost in Ekiti State earlier this year, when his sponsored candidate Prof. Eleka was pummelled into submission, Nigeria's number 1 official motor mouth, the irrepressible Peter 'the Rock' Ayodele Fayose, just quietly went into his cocoon, not mouthing off like he used to do before. Like the Yorubas would say, Enu ti wo ooooo!!

It was like that election defied his understanding and totally affected his psyche in a massive way, it took him to lala land and it has taken him a longwhile to recover. Imagine that he was actually brought down from his high horse and was practically slammed down, embarrassingly at that. Imagine that after he had assured his ward as per the election, that no matter what, he was going to win the election for him, just the way he had done the previous time with full aid of the FG and then he lost!!!!

Now with the only option left being the Courts, who can still swing things his way or better still their way, if they can show compelling reasons why the election results needs to be upturned.

So while still grappling with how to go away without issues, having being brought down from his height of extreme self delusion and over engorged ego, imagine now that another problem, major one at that already awaits him, in the mold of the EFCC. The organization from thr look of it, have him under watch and has already asked the Customs and most likely other security parastatals to also keep a keen eye on the outgoing Governor, so that he wouldn't perform the Houdini (a disappearing act) as soon as his tenure finishes and he has handed over to his successor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, so he can at least answer some questions, the organisation might think needs answers to.

We are only just hoping that prophecy wouldn't be coming into fruition or past as it concerns "pastor" Peter Ayodele Fayose, as a prophet had predicted a while back then, that the Governor would only be transiting from the Government house to jailhouse!

ZENITH BANK PLC MD IN THE EYE OF THE STORM OVER ACCUSATIONS OF AIDING & ABETTING FRAUD & CORRUPTION IN RIVERS STATE.

Peter Amangbo

Nyesom Wike, Governor of Rivers State

Not the best of times for the Managing Director of one of Nigeria's biggest financial institutions founded by billionaire banker Jim Ovia right now and the reason for the MD's troubles are not far-fetched as he and had his bank has been accused of aiding and abetting the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike to launder a staggering sum of 100 (One hundred) billion from the State's treasury since 2015.

Mr. Peter Amangbo, who is the Group MD of the Bank over the weekend was over the weekend taken into custody by the fraud busting organisation the EFCC for the failure to properly document the suspicious transactions and report them also to the authorities as statutorily required by the Money Laundering Act of 2011.

It is said that the GMD has been in the custody of the EFCC in Abuja since Friday. According to the report, the total some of 117 Billion was gradually removed in cash over time by officials at different times since June 2015 and ZENITH Bank made a staggering 5.2 billion Naira from the suspicious deal.

Over 50 cheques in 10 million Naira tranches were issued and cashed all in one day in several instances! Others apart from the GMD of ZENITH bank that the EFCC wants for questioning are the officials of Rivers state Government.

While the bank and the EFCC officials have not officially responded, the Governor of Rivers has however stated that no officials of the his Government would report to the EFCC to be grilled until they set aside a judgement of the Rivers State Government against them in 2007.

Until that judgement is set aside, they would not come says the Governor.

BREAKING NEWS: COURT DIRECTS IMMEDIATE RELEASE OF AFRICAN BILLIONAIRE BUSINESSMAN BENEDICT PETERS’ PROPERTIES IN THE UK

Benedict Peters

The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has, today 6 July 2018, directed the immediate release of two properties located in the United Kingdom belonging to African Billionaire businessman and Aiteo boss Benedict Peters which had been the subject of an Interim Forfeiture Order obtained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in 2016, allegedly in the course of its investigation of allegations of corruption against the former Petroleum Minister, Mrs Dieziani Alison-Madueke.

By this decision, the court has upheld Peters’ case that the properties wholly belonged to him; was unconnected to any activities of the former minister and were unlawfully as well as unjustifiably included in a list of properties the Commission tried to seize.  The judge, Mrs Justice Nyarko found that a court of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) being competent and coordinate jurisdiction had, in a judgment in separate proceedings, made significant findings with respect to Peters’ means of livelihood.

The judge ruled that the same court had confirmed his legitimate acquisition of a number of London-based properties including the two properties at Flat 5, Parkview, 83-86 Prince Albert Road as well as Flat 58 Harley House, Marylebone Road, both in London
and had declared that those assets were insusceptible to forfeiture under any circumstance.

Justice Nyarko directed that in that event, those properties could not continue to be restrained by the order EFCC had obtained and directed that the properties be released to Peters immediately. Full Report to follow.

Benedict Peters wins again - Abuja High Court Grants “Stay of Action” Regarding Racially and Religiously Prejudiced Persecution

The National Crime Agency of the United Kingdom, The Crown Prosecution Service (UK) alongside other foreign-based defendants and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have been dealt a huge blow in the case against Aiteo Boss, Billionaire Benedict Peters. A High Court sitting in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, on Monday June 25, 2018, ordered the parties to maintain the status quo until the hearing of the main issues in the case.

Benedict Peters demanded $5billion in compensation, for what he describes as a series of unlawful and fraudulent conspiracies allegedly organised by the EFCC, AGF, the National Crime Agency and Crown Prosecution Service (UK) and individuals, Helen Hughes, Stacey Boniface, and John Bavister, “to expropriate by intimidation, assets, properties, monies to which he is legitimately entitled.”

In suit number FCT/HC/CV0536/17, the court has heard that properties belonging exclusively to  Benedict Peters were wrongfully included in a list of properties alleged to belong to Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke, the former Minister of Petroleum in Nigeria, and that despite abundant evidence showing that Peters owned the properties, the defendants maliciously and deliberately continued to suppress the information with the intent not only to permanently deprive him of the properties but to destroy him as well as his business interests.  In the proceedings, which has been described as falling within the “fraud of Carousel Tort”, the plaintiff seeks judicial protection and compensation.

BOYS ARE IN DEEP SHIT AS EFCC RAIDS NIGHT CLUBS & JOINTS

Just like the title above says it, the EFCC might have changed it focus and may now have their attention focused on any of these young lads who frequents the night spots, joints and bars with their humongous machines on the mission to show-off, while spending their ill-gotten wealth in such ways and manner, that beggars belief.

Just yesterday alone, at a well known joint on Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos, Club 57 to be more precise, the long arm of the EFCC clamped down on some of these fly boys and their entourage as they were getting out of the joint after a good night of unbridled fun. It was a sting raid, so they all weren't aware of what was coming and so were not prepared for the surprise that came their way! So with these particular successful raid, many are already suggesting that the others are now going to be loads more careful and that those who do not have the businesses to back the lifestyle they live, are either going to shift their bases, run away for a bit if things are too hot or go underground for a while till things would relax again.

The EFCC on their verified Twitter handle gave credence to the raid- “Operatives of the EFCC early this morning raided Club 57 in Ikoyi, acting on intelligence report of activities of suspected Internet fraudsters.

“While some abandoned their exotic cars to evade arrest, some others resisted. 12 suspects were arrested, with 10 cars recovered.”

Mind you, many of the very big ones in the business, have solid backings from what we have heard. In fact some have the support of heavyweights in the force, behind them, who are said to be on their payroll, hence their very brazen attitudes.

For those who don't know, you have to be out at some of the joints in town to see how many of these boys intimidate others when they go on their spending sprees. Imagine that you go around and you see young guys driving some of the most humongous machines you can ever dream of and they have all not being smart enough to cover their backs with some legitimate businesses they could cover their asses when the push comes to shove. If the kind of raid that happened yesterday is sustained for a bit, then the night club owners and their businesses are the ones that would majorly feel the brunt, as these boys are most of their best customers/clienteles.

We met a young guy sometime last year, whose garage is worth at least near a billion Naira, if not more. He lives in a rented apartment somewhere, with things inside the house that's worth more than a hundred million, several more millions worth. This young dude is still in his 20s! He bought a brand spanking new Ferrari, that he air freighted in from Dubai after the purchase. He also owns a white G63 GGuard, we hear he also owns a Maserati and a few others. He drove and crashed, totalled his Ferrari under 6 months! After he had bought the Ferrari, he had also made up his mind to get a Lamborghini too! This is just one case.

There is also the case last year about that wedding, that got tongue wagging for several weeks. No wedding till date has beaten that wedding, including that of Dangote's daughter by display of opulence. The cars in the entourage of that wedding were more than 35, atleast 25 were brand spanking new G Wagons, driving by unknown young boys, a few Range Rovers were in the mix and the bride and groom rode in a Rolls Royce or 2. The display of opulence was so much that even some moneyed adults were intimidated. Just 2 of the guys sprayed 8million plus Naira, hard currency flowed like it was pure water. In the midst of the party were even go-go dancers doing strip tease. King of Fuji performed at the party and was sprayed endlessly for a long period of time.

If you want to catch many of these dudes who are not leaving in their own apartments either built or bought or rented, then you can either check Eko Signature, Continental Hotel and a few other places, where they have turned to home and you are too sure to catch many of them at these places having fun, with their posses and girlfriends etc. Imagine that last year alone a particular one who went haywire spending at a club, where one night's drink amd revelry bill was more than 10million Naira, stayed close to a year at the Signature!

How come many of these boys are still hitting paydirt daily! Inspite of the fact that or even as the scrutiny on them have not abated? You must understand very well that there are levels of operations in their type of business, differences in operations too. The mid level operators are those engaging in Yahoo-yahoo! The advanced level guys have moved to bigger things these are the G-boys. These ones by virtue of technology make use of applications that helps them to evade many of the firewalls of major companies, whose accounts they have been able to penetrate like they are the authorised people in charge and once in, they then transfer major funds in large amounts that are possible, from those accounts to other accounts, where they now share money with those account owners they have transferred to on 70:30 or 60:40 basis. Many of the account owners are abokis and others who deals in money transfers etc.

These boys believes wholeheartedly that they are not doing anything wrong, since they are dealing with companies and not necessarily individuals. There are also some whose advanced level border on the diabolical too, but that's a story for another day. You have some of these G-boys everywhere. And they also have many working for them too. Many have rented or leased apartments all over Nigeria, while they have some abroad too cutting the deals across the pond.

Would these focus on them help reduce the situation? Let's wait and see!

AITEO BOSS BEN PETERS WINS AGAIN AS JUDGE DECLARES EFCC HAD & HAS NO POWER TO DECLARE ANY WANTED!

Benedict Peters of Aiteo

Another good one for billionaire oil magnate, Benedict Peters, the founder and boss of AITEO as he wins another victory in his battle with the EFCC to clear his name. A judge declared just yesterday , Thursday March 22, 2018 that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, the government organisation set up to fight financial crimes has no right whatsoever to declare Mr. Benny Peters or any other person for that matter, wanted.

The way the judge puts it, declaring anyone wanted by the EFCC is tantamount to over stepping their boundaries, as it's only a court that can grant that sort of approval.

In a ruling in Abuja, the FCT by Justice Othman Musa of the Federal High Court Abuja he quashed the EFCC's declaration, describing it as, unlawful, illegal and unconstitutional and even went further to ask that the EFCC should apologize to Mr Peters!

Not still ending it at that, Justice Othman went further to say that the EFCC cannot declare anyone (any Nigerian) at all wanted without first obtaining an approval from a court of competent jurisdiction.

The EFCC towards their investigation in 2016 against the backdrop of the case of electoral fundings in connection with the 2015 election and other related matters, had declared the hard working businessman wanted. But not satisfied with the EFCC, the businessman through his lawyers had immediately instituted a case against the commission, siting infringement of his fundamental human rights and asking the judge to declare the actions of the commission, unlawful, illegal and unconstitutional, and that their declaration be quashed and a written apology be made to him. With yesterday's pronouncement by the Abuja court, Benedict Peters got all the relief he had sought/asked for.

SPG'S STELLA ODUAH REVEALS DIEZANI ALLISON-MADUEKE WAS HER NEMESIS WHO ORCHESTRATED HER SACK AS MINISTER!

Stella Oduah vs Dieziani Allison-Madueke
There had been the unconfirmed gist whilst both were in power that they were bitter rivals kind of, but the truth behind such gist was not readily ascertained until very recently.

Both were high ranking members then in the administration of the then President Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan, and had unfettered access to the Number 1 man, but in between them, there was major rivalry what could have led to that we don't readily know, but at least that there was no love lost has now been confirmed with yesterday's revelation by former Aviation Minister, Stella Oduah, who is rhe owner of SPG a massive Oil and Gas Company.

From her recent outburst as packaged in a book said to be coming out soon she claims that she was pushed out from the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan by the chicanery of the former now beleaguered Petroleum Resources Minister, Mrs. Dieziani Allison-Madueke.

The new book is titled "On a Platter of Gold: How Jonathan won & lost Nigeria, written by a former minister in the same cabinet who most definitely should know, by the name Bolaji Abdullahi. According to the very reliable online news platform The Cable, who have seen the advance copy of the book which is yet to come out. The explosive book, packed with revelations is set to be out nationwide after the launch on November 30, 2017.

According to the book, Stella Oduah claimed that when the hoopla from the scandal about the $1.6million armoured BMW purchased for her by the NCAA broke, the President then summoned her for her explanation on the issue. At the meeting with the President were the then SGF Pius Anyim & Dieziani. She claimed that her explanation to the President was seemingly satisfactory as she had claimed there was nothing untoward in the deal.

Alison-Madueke also appeared sympathetic and even promised to speak to her friends in the national assembly and the media “to back down” on the issue.

“I thought she had my back. I did not know at the time that she was actually fuelling it and orchestrating all the media attacks,” she told Abdullahi.

“I knew all along that Diezani could not deal with having another female around who had the kind of access I had to the president. But she went too far. She thought I was the one who leaked the issue of private jet  that put her into trouble with the House of Representatives (Diezani was accused of spending N10 billion on chartered jets). For her it was payback time.”

Twice, she had offered to resign before her sack but Jonathan asked her not to, according to her, yet the issue did not go away.

“Diezani was paying people to keep the story alive. At the same time, she was whispering in [the president’s] ears that he had to take action,” Oduah alleged, adding that the plan to get her arrested by EFCC was countered by other members of the cabinet.

A presidential committee headed by Sambo Dasuki, then national security adviser, eventually indicted  Oduah.

When the president told her that she had to go, Oduah asked: “Did Diezani ask you to sack me?”

Jonathan answered no, but there and then it was agreed that she should be eased out of government.

On January 12, 2014, she was removed as minister.

Abdullahi, the author, was fired as minister of sport in March 2014 by Jonathan allegedly on account of his “godfather”, Bukola Saraki, who had joined other party rebels in defecting to the APC.

UNVEILING THE MALAYSIAN CARTEL & THEIR MODUS OPERANDI

There was first the "419 wave, which is another code for saying obtaining by "falsehood or pretence", which earned the practitioners- who were many celebrated people loads of money, even a colossal amount if we can say that. The top hierarchy of those involved in the trick, even at a point became celebrated figures and celebrities, driving the very latest cars and building humongous edifices, their legend was sung by many of our top musicians, who even went on to wax albums in their names, giving them titles like- the moon that shines on all and many more.

Indirectly, they became inspiration to certain types of people and why wouldn't they be? Especially when same type of tricks were being used legally by those working in Government parastatals who were becoming multi-millionaires just for working for Government and were using their pens as weapons of theft!

Gradually the 419 thing assumed another dimension and gradually Yahoo-yahoo mode of operation reared its head up and became the in-thing! The same type of operations now assuming a new name, but it's the same principle that ran through it, same idea to just simply hoodwink the greedy and the gullible and wipe them out of their funds. The minute you have an "ounce of greed" in you, then you can be easily activated, making you already a sucker (Mugu/Maga) waiting and ready to be taken or gotten and if care or restraint is not applied, the Maga would be completely taken to the cleaners, there's no pity here ooooo!

POWERFUL AND RICH BOLA SHAGAYA GROANS AS EFCC FREEZES ACCOUNTS WITH COLOSSAL AMOUNT

Not the very best of times for some of the rich and powerful as we speak, as they grapple with sundry issues which normally would have drowned mere mortals like everyday people.

But like the saying goes, a big head needs a big hat or scarf, so they are surely prepared for the down time and heavy loads they carry and so can easily bounce back from any weight that might be sinking them, atleast the boss of Forte Oil, Mr. Femi Otedola has shown them that when there's life there's surely hope!  Thanks

The Kwaran juggernaut by name HAJIA Bola Muinat Shagaya is currently facing the EFCC's investigation as we speak and would need all her dexterity and manuevirings and connection to get out of the grasp of the anti-graft agency of the government known as the EFCC, who have placed 3 of Madam's accounts on a lock down. In these accounts are about ₦8.6 billion Naira.

HAJIA Bola Muinat Shagaya who is reputed to be one of the richest ladies in Nigeria and a director at Unity Bank and supposedly one of the bank's biggest shareholders has since taken the same bank to court for allowing the EFCC to shutdown her account without a valid court order.

Not only were those accounts seized, investigation is also said to be on going as per Hajia's relationships with about 10 firms and accounts.  The accounts also frozen for the now are First Deep Water Discovery Limited, Bola Shagaya, FAPLiNs Nigeria Limited, Lingo Nigeria Limited, Buri Barclays BDC, Links Global Synergy Limited, OKIOIL Nigeria Limited, Jemaruz Nigeria Limited, PJ Oil and Gas Limited and AFDIN Ventures Ltd.

The anti graft organisation has sent an order to the bank has it to place a "Post No Debit" (PND) on the accounts, and that order had jeopardised a transaction and agreement with a private jet leasing company.

Since the ban placed on the accounts, madam could not defray an accumulated cost of ₦514, 800, 000 being the cost owed the Jet company for the lease of a Bombardier jet. Since the payment agreement couldn't be met by Hajia Shagaya and which led to the termination of the agreement, she has had to forfeit a whooping $1 million USD.

So HAJIA has accused the Bank of complicity in her travails, claiming the bank's alleged failure to do the requisite due diligence when the order from the EFCC came.

SKYE BANK GOES AFTER JIDE OMOKORE WITH GUN BLAZING

Jide Omokore
It's definitely not the very best of time for this rich colossus. We are too sure that if he had his way, he would have wished the avalanche of happenstances of recent would have befallen an enemy rather than himself. All of the staggering revelations have been totally embarrassing to say the least.

It has been one battle after the other for him, his companies and some of the people connected to him. These battles as they are, are all coming from all sides of the world. And as it seems now, there are no signs they are abating any time soon.

As we speak now, his current travail is coming from his friend's bank, that is Skye Bank PLC, where Tokunbo Abiru, him being the former ED at First Bank PLC (where Omokore is also said to have gotten another ₦120 billion unresponsive loan) is now the GMD/CEO of Skye Bank PLC.

Jide Omokore's current quagmire arose from the "₦110 billion unresponsive loan", he had gotten from the bank which has Lagos State Government of Nigeria as the highest shareholder. The chairman of SPOG petrochemicals amongst several other companies had gotten the loans via 3 of his business concerns namely, Atlantic Energy Drilling Concepts-₦56 billion, Cedar Oil and Gas Ltd- ₦22.4 billion and Real Bank Ltd- ₦31 billion.

LAGOS HOUSE SPEAKER'S ROCK OF GIBRALTAR

It has not been the best of times, for the Honorable Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly-Hon Adeyemi Ikuforoji, what with the 54 count of money laundering case involving the sum of #773.3 million Naira,  he and his PA has been beset with courtesy the EFCC. The case has been dragging on for quite a while now and we can bet it is disturbing to a very large extent the ambition of the Speaker to vie for the post of the Executive Governor of the State of Excellence come the next election into the Alausa State house.

At the most recent court hearing on the case, the speaker & his assistant -Oyebode Atoyebi  were granted bail in the colossal sum of #1 Billion Naira each, many had thought that amount was too humongous as a bail and had thought that the speaker and his PA might find it hard to meet the bail condition. Though for a day they couldn't: As the speaker & PA had to rest in the very comfortable enclave of the EFCC for a day. A few of his very liquid friends took it upon themselves to stand sureties for their good friends. The rock of Gibraltar in this particular write-up is a metaphor that refers to those very few, who have stood as rock of support & confidence for their friend in the face of a seemingly insurmountable mountain (# 1billion Naira each).

Check out the role call of Sureties for the Speaker. Each of the sureties were in the sum of #500 Million Naira each- Alhaji Taiwo Oludayo, Proprietor of Oludayo International Agency. Who owns a landed property at Kofo Abayomi Avenue, Apapa, Lagos.

Mr. Adeyemo Abdul-Yekini. Who owns a landed property at Block......Isheri North Residential Scheme in Kosofe.

The embattled speaker's PA-Oyebode Atoyebi was also not left out. He too also perfected his bail application. Thanks to the magnanimity of Chief Hammed Dosunmu, the MD of Williams & Co. Development Works, located at Oju Olobun, on Lagos Island & Mrs. Ajibola Lawal, the MD of Fiona Lawton Nigeria Ltd. In Magodo GRA, Shangisha, Lagos.

Like it is commonly said, ''A friend in need, is a friend indeed''. This 4 have shown they are friends indeed. Real rock of Gibraltar.

Can the speaker still vie for the Governorship seat, with this case still hanging on his neck like an albatross? Time will tell, let's wait and see.

The case meanwhile has been adjourned till September 25, 2013 for trial proper.

EX-GOVERNOR ABUBAKAR AUDU ESCAPES ARREST

Are we so surprised that it was one of those at the EFCC that aided the Ex-Governor of Kogi State, Prince Abubakar Audu to escape being arrested? Definitely not at all. In a country, where a large sum said to be around 2.1 Billion Naira in One thousand Naira denominations could suddenly develop wings and disappear into thin air FROM THE MINT OOOO, anything can and would continually happen.

According to report, the Prince of Kogi scampered away from his house at 32, Suleiman Barau Street, Aso Villa, Asokoro after a top ranking official of those to make the arrest tipped him off. It's has been a hide and seek game between the former Governor and the EFCC for quite a while now before this current fiasco. It just shows that even the so called organization that is supposed to help weed out corruption itself is not clean at all. Prince Audu, had been charged to court by the EFCC for corruptly enriching himself to the tune of 4 Billion Naira, from the Kogi State coffers while he was the State's Chief Executive.

That the Ex-Governor is super rich is like stating the very obvious, his property portfolio according to those in the know is said to be quite intimidating. No one can say for a fact, if he has escaped out of the country or if he is still holed up in an hideout here in Nigeria.

We are just of the opinion that the innocent needs fear no arrest. Chikena!

DR.WALE BABALAKIN'S DILEMMA

First the Federal Government tore his Bi-Coutney Consortium contracts to shreds. The company had been awarded the concession of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway since 2009. That's about 4 years ago, but apparently since nothing whatsoever had been done prior to the termination of the concession, the Federal Government had to move in for the good of all.

Now after that unfinished business, with both sides threatening to meet in court to iron out issues etc. Same concession was immediately awarded to Julius Berger and R.C. C. Nigeria Limited, who are to commence work immediately. While the dusts on that contract imbroglio is yet to settle, Dr. Wale Babalakin, is having to fight another battle on another front. This time around, with the EFCC(Economic and Financial Crimes Commission) over a 2 Billion loot said to belong to the now disgraced ex-Governor of Delta State, James Onanefe Ibori.

Though, the lawyer and very influential businessman is said to have declared his innocence, we hear that the EFCC might be arranging to file charges against him, since they suspect that the said money was supposedly laundered through one of his companies.

While some are of the feeling that the allegations should be investigated very well and the necessary things to be done. Some are of the feeling that Dr. Wale Babalakin might have fallen out with some people and this might be the reason(s) he is facing his present dilemma.
DR WALE BABALAKIN
