HIT & RUN CAR OWNER IDENTIFIED.THE AKOGUN DENIES OWNERSHIP OF A HUMMER

We had published a story recently about a hit and run car: A burgundy Hummer Truck with registration AKOGUN, who after causing some mayhem escaped the scene of the accident. Apparently our publication caused a bit of stress for the family with the name AKOGUN.

We have now found out the owner of the said Hummer truck. After a bit of investigation, we were able to get across to a member of the Akogun family, who told us categorically that no member of the Akogun family owns a Hummer truck, that they do not like the truck at all and apart from that all the Akogun's except for one in Abuja were all in the U.S the date the accident was supposed to have happened. Quoting the person we spoke with - ''No member of the Akogun family owns a Hummer, and none has ever driven one before, as a matter of fact we would never drive one, because we don't like it at all''.

So after getting this denial from the Akogun's, we thought to beam our lights more on finding out who owns the said Truck, we called someone at the office of the V.I.O in Abuja, the FCT to help us with our investigation, and at the end of it all a name popped out – a Hummer truck with registration AKOGUN A1 was registered to a Mr. O. Adebayo of Democracy Crescent, Abuja.

Now that the cat has been let out of the bag, we would love for Mr. Adebayo to get to us, so we can get his own side of the incidence, so that we can at least put the matter to rest.

Remember like we stated in our first report, there were 4 people in the Hummer when the accident occurred- the driver, a passenger to his right, and 2 people at the back- most likely the owner of the jeep and a female companion. While in the other Jeep, there was the driver and 3 kids-all young girls and the oldest was 15 years old and youngest 7. The 3 girls and the driver were left on the road after being temporarily blinded by the pepper spray unleashed on them by the man at the back of the Hummer: and to make their escape the driver of the Hummer intentionally reversed to cause more damage to the Landrover LR3.
