AMFW 2012- OUT & ABOUT ON DAY 3

We are not yet done with the Arise Magazine Fashion week 2012, which held at the beginning of the month at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island. This is would be the 3rd installment in the series tagged- Out and About. There are 5 installments altogether, which chronicled the daily happenings/happenstances at the weeklong event. Apart from the fashion showcase by many of the designers that came in from all over Africa, supporting some of the home based Nigerian designers and some of their counterparts living and plying their trades outside Nigeria. There were also fashionistas from everywhere, who had converged at the venue.

The out and about series is a showcase of some of these fashionistas that we saw around the venue, either strutting their stuffs on the red carpet, or even inside the tents, or at the lobby or reception area of the hotel. Many were a waoh! Which is to be expected, and some were just downright outrageous. But that's how fashion weeks are so supposed to be like, a mixture of the good, the bad and the ugly. We are hoping that like always, you will enjoy our effort. After this showcase, we will bring to you the 4th and the final installments and some of the designers’ showcase that caught our eyes.

Ojy seems to be getting lighter. Seems her sisters-in-law have introduced her to charisma glow.

Latasha. Cool down on the whiteness and extend the cream to your black knees and knuckles e jo.

Love the beads worn like a poncho.

Noble and his everlasting bulging trousers. Okoro feeling funky. You dey try.

Uti looks fab.

Mai, Mai, Mai; too fine.

Ugonna; so trendy. Nice. Don't wear sunglasses inside though. It's dodgy.

Those red shoes are fine.

Efemena took a tip from Noble with the bulging pants.

Toju, fab all round especially the shoes.

Northerners are fine sha. Jasmine Tukur et al.

The madam whose story you took down looks like an "ere" abi "egbere." Get a nose job.

The 3 coloured shoes are nice.

Femi Atilade, fab body but wor wor face. Boobs are lopsided though.

Ono Bello will take about herself all day on her blog! Wor wor face but nice height.

Jelly sandals are a summer staple. They have been around for about 6 years now and they are nice, comfortable and cheap.
Mama born girl i can swear i've seen you write in yoruba before. Maybe i am wrong sha.

@Fan, my Yoruba isn't fluent at all. Just understand some few common words, greetings and abuses. If it's a 'strong' Yoruba word, it's mama na girl!
I wore jelly sandals during my NYSC in late 90s.

The madam 'ere' or 'egbere' (I'll also add 'emere') has changed her makeover. She's stopped that stupid eyelining and lip lining she used to do. As per her nose, she said it's her best feature!

Best feature indeed. What does egbere know aside from lying on her back, saying incantations and bleaching? She should look at Nike's nose and do what she did.
