NO RESSURECTION FOR REHAB NITE CLUB

LOLU SODEINDE
OWEN AISIEN
We are so sure you all wondering what we are on about, especially as the title of the write-up doesn’t say much. It is that the former number one joint/club for revelers on the island, known to all has REHAB, has now been shutdown, never to open again at its former address on Ajose Adeogun, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The owners of the joint, the duo of Lolu Sodeinde and Owen Aisien, have finally decided to shutdown, what was a very successful venture and look for some other things to invest in.

According to our source, there were many reasons for the abrupt closure and it wasn’t because there was a fight between the two, who have been friends for more than 20 years now.

Main reason amongst other reasons for the closure was that the Landlord- all of a sudden increased and demanded from the club owners a rent of #24 Million naira per year, apparently he must have noticed that the club was bringing in money, so they must surely be making great profit, the rent increase was not the only demand made, our unconfirmed report also heard that he wanted dividends also from the profits the club owners might be making at any point.

At a point when the club’s rent was a week due, the Landlord came in and switched off the music, this was while the club was on, that wasn’t all, the accountant was beaten up severally at the instruction of the Landlord and by the Landlord himself, also as the owner of the property, he would come into the club to enjoy his favourite drinks-Johnie Walker Blue Label or Hennessy XO or some other top rated liquor on which he ran large unpaid bills.
The straw that finally broke the camel’s back, was when recently  there was a robbery at the club- not during club hours anyway and the generator, Deejay’s equipments and air-conditioners were stolen, the club promoters just felt it was a sign for them to get out or face the consequences and they just took the decision to shutdown. So Rehab is no more, but something else might soon spring up from the duo (might still be called Rehab or might have another name) .

We are all eagerly waiting to see what that would be.
