BASKETMOUTH PREPARES FOR AFRICAN KINGS OF COMEDY

The past decade has seen Barons World Entertainment, the entertainment firm, owned by Bright Okpocha AKA Basketmouth producing such inimitable hit comedy concerts like Humor Unlimited with Basketmouth, Laffs n Jamz- all of 43 editions), Basketmouth Uncensored (4 editions), Lords of The Ribs and the Nigerian Kings of comedy, one of which happened last month in the UK, one at the 02 in London and the other one at the Birdcage, Manchester.

This year- 2012, after his (Basketmouth) just concluded UK tour (Nigerian Kings of comedy) which had over 7,000 people in attendance @ both shows (London and Manchester) he has conceived the idea to make the show even bigger and much better and it would be tagged -the African Kings of Comedy.

The new show-African Kings of Comedy is structured to celebrate some of Africa’s best comedy talents: So coming to Nigeria would be-

Malawi's Daliso Chaponda,South Africa's-Loyiso Gola & Ndumiso Lindi,  who would turn Lagos upside down with their brand of comedy.

The Nigerian posse would be led by-Basketmouth,Okey Bakassi,Bovi,Buchi and they will be supported by other comedians like I go save,Akpororo,Dan d Humorous,Sim Card,Mr. Patrick,D Don and many more.
Musicians billed to perform are:

Flavour, Davido, Wizkid, Wande Coal, Eldee d Don, W4, Mo Eazy, Dare Art Alade, 2 Face, MI, Jessy Jagz, Brymo and Ice Prince.
The event is slated for May 26, 2012 just 3 days to democracy day and Lagos State Government is giving massive support.

Venue: Eko hotel,Time: 6pm
Gate fee: Regular-N10, 000/VIP-N30, 000 and Table: N1million

NB: Discussion is presently ongoing to have 2 US based comedians (African Americans) come in, to headline the show. Their names will be unveiled soonest

I guess it's not for students because the gate fee is on a high key,lol.

Yeah.....too expensive. Target's are youth,comedy is more appealing to youths than those who can readily afford it, workers. All is well doe
