Katy Perry had the honour of announcing the different nominees in the different categories last night, she herself was nominated a whooping 9 times, making her the highest nominee, 21 year old new British singing sensation Adele had 7 nods, making her the 2nd highest nominee, same has the fantastically talented Kanye West who was the highest male nominee, amongst many ladies, Bruno Mars got 4 nods, Nicki Minaj,Beyonce & Lady Gaga got 3, Eminem got 3 nominations, while Chris Brown and a host of others got 2, making up the list of those who got a nod were Wiz Khalifa & Big Sean & Mumford & Sons.

The award itself is set for AUGUST 28,2011 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles by 9PM. the Moon man is 28 years old, that is, its the 28th edition of the annual awards show, the 2010 edition of the awards had 11.4 million viewers looking on, and it was at that year's edition that Kanye West had his  now very famous Taylor Swift meltdown.
