MBGN 2012-ISABELLA AGBOR OJONG AYUK & OTHER AFRICANS & AT THE MISS UNIVERSE 2012

MISS ISABELLA AGBOR OJONG AYUK, 26 MBGN 2012

GLAMOUR SHOT
Last night in Las Vegas, better known to the world as sin city, the preliminary stage of the Miss Universe pageant held. The venue was the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, Las Vegas. The preliminary stage helps to shortlist the last 16 that goes on to the semi-finals, which would be announced on Wednesday, December 19, 2012. The announcement of the 16 would be together with the results of the online voting presently going and that would end on the night of Tuesday, December 18, 2012.

Nigeria's own, MBGN 2012, Miss Isabella Agbor Ojong Ayuk, 26 from Cross River State in Nigeria, is flying the nations flag at this year's competition, she was one of the 89 beautiful ones vying for the coveted crown. And she was looking very stunning last night. One of the major highlights of the preliminary stage that took place last night, was the fall of Miss Guyana, Ruqayyah Boyer, which was because of the combination of the very slippery floor, her sky-high shoes and her floor-length apparel. She gingerly got up to continue her graceful walk.

We are focusing our attention on the AFRICAN contestants and some of the others with black skin. The Canadian queen at the pageant has an African name, Adwoa Yamoah, so its either she naturalized Canadian or was born in Canada to African parents. There are 16 contestants in all, who are proudly African or Blacks, from the 89 contesting from around the world. Can Africa, retain the crown? We should know by the night of Wednesday, December 19, 2012. Miss Leila Lopes of Angola (proudly African) is the reigning queen. Or would it be Nigeria's own Isabella Agbor Ojong Ayuk, 26, doing us proud again just like Agbani Darego did a few years ago? Impossible is nothing.

Check out 16 OF THE 89 Contestants- Miss Angola, Marcelina Vahekeni, Miss Bahamas, Celeste Marshall, Miss Botswana, Sheillah Molelekwa, Miss British Virgin Island, Abigail Hyndman, Miss Canada, Adwoa Yamoah, Miss Curacao, Monifa Joanne Marie Jensen, Miss Ethiopia, Helen Getachew, Miss Gabon, Channa Divouvi, Miss Ghana, Gifty Ofori, 24, Miss Guyana, Ruqayyah Boyer, Miss Haiti, Christela Jacques, Miss Namibia, Tsakana Nkandih, , Miss Nigeria (MBGN) Isabella Ayuk 26, Miss St. Lucia, Tara Edwards, Miss Tanzania, Winfrida Dominic & Miss Trinidad & Tobago, Avionne Mark.
