WHEN LANRE ALFRED LAUNCHED- HIGHLIFE-THE AMAZING LIFESTYLES OF NIGERIA'S RICH & FAMOUS

THE GREAT AKOGUN & HIS BETTER HALF
LANRE & LARA ALFRED

THE UNVEILING OF THE BOOK

PRESENTING A COPY TO FLORENCE ITA-GIWA

A very good friend of the house and an amazing writer Lanre Alfred, gathered many recently to the launch of his book titled, High-life-The Amazing lifestyles of Nigeria's rich & famous. The event a very high octane one, was at the Agip recital Hall of the Muson Center, Lagos. It was virtually the gathering of Nigeria's who is who. Those like Otunba Mike Adenuga, Femi Otedola, Oba Obateru Akinruntan, Jide Omokhore, Atiku Abubakar, IGP Mohammed Abubakar and others who were unavoidably absent, sent high powered representatives. And they showed their 'good hands' by supporting a labour of love & sweat in kind wink! wink!!.

Amongst those we readily saw at the event were 2 commissioners from Ogun State, in the persons of Ronke Sokefun, who is the Commissioner for Agriculture and Otunba Bimbo Ashiru, who is the Commissioner for Commerce & Industry. From Delta State was the Commissioner for Information, Mr. Chike Ogeah. Some of the other guests in attendance were Basorun Dele Momodu, Mr Kunle Bakare, publisher of Encomium Magazine, gorgeous entrepreneur Sade Oredugba, Eunice Efole, former aviation Minister Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, DG of NTDC, Otunba Segun Runsewe, Mma Bakassi- Senator Florence Ita-Giwa, President of Obigbo-Charles Ahize, talk show host extraordinaire Mo Abudu, creative director Miss Nigeria pageant Elohor Aisien, insurance hot-shot Adaobi Nwakuche, comedian extraordinaire Gbenga Adeyinka, Capital Femi Adeyinka, Shola Fajobi, publisher of Yes! International Azuh Arinze, Permanent Secretary Lands, in Lagos Hakeem Muri-Okunola, Yomi Fash-Lanso, renowned designer Clement Mudiaga Enajemo and very many others.

The book reviewer was none other than the Capo di tutti capi of celebrity journalism himself, Otunba Olakunle Bakare, the CEO/Editor-in-Chief at Encomium Magazine. He gave a fantastic review, pointing out the positives and the shortfalls in the package. All in all, he commended the writer for having the heart to take the risk to put together a great book. The event MC was the incredibly talented & hilarious Julius Agwu and he did a great job.

Akogun Olanrewaju Alfred, the author; who is also the Group Society Editor at This Day Newspapers was the cynosure of all eyes on the D-day wearing for the first time in a long-while a dark coloured tuxedo, looking very dapper, he was accompanied to the event by his gorgeous wife, the very sweet-mannered Omolara Alfred. The very well packaged & gloriously colourful book was snapped up by all who came to the launch.

Book is now available all over Nigeria.

The picture below Chike and Charles, what's the long black hat? Look likes a witch's hat.

Good turn out.

Tayo Ayeni and not Tunde Ayeni as you put it.
