Miss Nigeria

INTRODUCTION

It is once again time to celebrate the true beauty of the Nigerian woman. Since its inception in 1957, the Miss Nigeria Competition has stood to represent the highest of ideals. Showcasing positive attributes of the Nigerian women-Elegance, Poise, Talent, Intelligence as well as beauty.
On July 4th 2011, the Miss Nigeria Organization launched its new website at www.missnigeria.org.ng

The Miss Nigeria Organization, with its Associate Bank- First Bank of Nigeria Plc, have dramatically redesigned the new website, which now embodies Miss Nigeria’s forward thinking vision of the first paperless Miss Nigeria Competition.  This new development will give prospective Miss Nigeria contestants the ability to download the Miss Nigeria registration form on their mobile phones, making registration simple and efficient.
The website, rich in content is the only source to register for the 2011 Miss Nigeria Competition.
The new website which provides streamlined searching and more intuitive navigation, interactive exhibitions and multimedia of the Miss Nigeria Competition provides direct access to the most coveted Crown in Nigeria.
The site’s homepage welcomes visitors with bold new colors, a clean uncluttered design, and moving images with featured content on Miss Nigeria Prizes and 2011 Registration.

The sophisticated new site provides users with a comprehensive overview of Miss Nigeria, while allowing fans to get an in-depth look at the current Miss Nigeria, her reign, projects and goals. The site also provides press releases, news clippings and history of the Miss Nigeria Competition.
The bold and exciting site is both informative and accessible—a combination that is all too rare.

Miss Nigeria has always been a role model to young Nigerian ladies and a spokesperson for national volunteerism and charity, while using her title to educate the nation on issues of importance to her and the society at large.
The 2011 Miss Nigeria Competition will once again have no swimwear segment. And our young ladies will be judged on their poise, intelligence, cultural values as well as beauty. Qualities that every family would be proud to see their daughters, sisters and mothers possess.

Throughout the years, the Miss Nigeria platform has afforded past winners with incredible opportunities within Nigeria and abroad. Miss Nigeria 2011 will be a young lady who reflects the tradition of style, sophistication and service.
Under the stewardship of Chief Adenike Oshinowo-Soleye (Mrs.) AOE events and Entertainment Limited, in partnership with DAAR Communications LTD, the 2011 Miss Nigeria Competition will once again infuse old world glamour with modern elegance. The Competition will evoke a time when beauty had substance and grace as well as respectability; a time when privilege came with responsibility.

 Grand Prize:
Empowering women is our passion at the Miss Nigeria office. Opportunities arise on many platforms. To participate in the Miss Nigeria Pageant is to be part of a history dating back to 1957. It is a life changing experience.
